remember to wear light clothing n epec at nite wear the full sleeve clothes and apply the mosquito cream so then they dnt get u. sleep infront of a fan. its not that bad ......................... boil the water n keep it in the fridge , dnt rely too much on the fizzy drinks. as someone sed take pasta incase u get sick of the roti. ummmm ull probs hav to shower twice a day, i miss them cold showas lol

im not taking sides or refering to anyone but in general we shud be careful when 'dissing' anyone who claims or has been claimed to be a sant etc......who knows, especially as most of us base our veiws on facts which may not always be reliable. Either way, better safe than sorry ........ i know we wud hav no discussion forums if we were not to express our veiws but we shud always post in consideration of others feelings etc

the question then arises do we need to keep stores or weapons and ammunition incase we need them in desperate times? if the need arises it wud be ideal................. this is just a thought and i dnt mean keeping weapons and ammunition etc inside the Gurudwaras.

omg!! protein shakes are horrible......iv tried takin them b4 ....n i treid loadsa flavours aswell, but i duno i just cant drink em, is ther any alternative ......... iv never liked milkshakes anyway n then the tase n smell of the protein shakes errughhhhhh

There is nothing wrong in fact it’s a wonderful  thing to do a  akhand paath 

Let it be at a Gurdwara  where anyone and everyone can listen to the paath being done.

  okay to be fair I don’t understand every word being said but I do get the jist and sometimes when the giani reads slowly I can actually follows what he’s saying..

My point is to do a akhand patth  someone is reading and someone is listing..

When the Gurdwara allows more that one, 2,3,4,5,6 patths to be done at the same time,  do the person reading it say’s it so that someone can hear ? or drowning out the giani sitting next to him/her, and that person shouting out the other person next to him.. …… …………………………

How can you have more that 1  akhand patth  being read and listened to at the same time???

If you’ve got 2 halls then have one for daily patths and the other for akhand patth  with only ONE SGGS being read, regardless of how many people want it to be read  exclusively for them,

Ie If 70 families want a  akhand path this weekend  ….

Have 70 SGGS being read by 70 people (quietly as to not to disturb the next person)

Have one SGGS read so that every one can hear the wonderful bani ……

okay Gurdwara  committee you can still charge all 70 families .. just remember to mention their names when doing ardas

the akand paths i mentioned where ther were 5 ...........they were being read all at the same time and loudly so everyone was listenin to it , it was like one akand path but 5 SGGSjis i think

i just got a question about free will. i was reading on another forum and basically does god know what choices we will make in our life because he knows everything. If he knows everything and what we will do then how does free will fit into that?

hope u see what im gettin at.......... what im tryin to answer is that how does free will work if God knows already .........

wen i was little we had an akand path and there was like five SGGS jis and know i understand why ther was five....must have been five familes all on the same days.

and yea its important that you sit and listen to the path, thats the whole idea although i have witnessed some familys only makin an appearance at the bhog at the end.

sooo many young ppl these days belive in the caste system and discriminate each other even tho they are sikhs. but u will find that most of these kids have not been taught sikhi , there parents are too blame............ so we cant expect ppl to change unless we can get the message out their strongly.

i hate this caste system, i dnt even see the point , especially in the western world. some ppl are small minded.

Being a Bachelor of Science myself, I would want all scientific evidence before I believed this story. Just because someone tells a story, it doesn't make it fact.

In fact, this kind of thing can be counter-productive in recruiting educated folks to Sikhism. People in villages might be wooed into Sikhism by it, but in general, people should seek more spiritual or selfless fulfillment from their religion.

They should not see religion has a health insurance policy, or an investment, i.e. I pray, I will be healthy, I will be wealthy.

i can see what your veiw is, many ppl what reall proof, but this isnt a ploy by sikhs to recruit more ppl into sikhi.........we want real true sikhs ie those who follow guru jis hukam and rehit we dont need numbers.

Science cant explain everything becos we humans dnt have the capability to understand the whole of creation, many things are yet to be discovered, so just becos we cant see it doesnt mean it cant happen. Its faith which is required to understand these things otherwise who in this day and age wud belive in God, i cnt see him so he doesnt exist?

Guru ji tells us not to ask for worldly things but things like naam and seva which will do us real good. health and wealth isnt everything, also i think Guru ji will be able to tell if i was going to be a pretend sikh just cos i want money and a longer life. i hope you see wher im going.

all gurudwaray are sach kand aren't they? but only if you have the eye to see it.

so many lives were lost that ppl in punjab were cuttin the hair of their kids to stop them bein pointed out. People were weak, and as we are told other fake ppl drove them away from sikh principles and made them feel it was alrite , and they were comforted etc .................. and now alot of sikhs in punjab are very negative towards Jarnail Singh Bindrawale ji and the events that took place. But people need to educate these guys , at least make them aware.
