  1. BREAKING NEWS.

    6 JUNE 2014.

"A GAME PLAN OF SHIV SENA PARTY"

As when shiv sena people were regularly announcing that on 6 june they will tear off the posters of Sant Gyani Jarnail singh bindrawle and fire out the pupets of them , the sikh community people who respect sant ji were very anoyed with them.

Sikhs said if shiv sena will do so then these people cant even judge wot they will do to them nd then they will not be responsible for the loss.

Shiv sena Got Scared from sikhs and made a GAME PLAN.

Today At Akal Takhat Sahib on the 30th anniversary of operation bluestar, 3 shiv sena people came in fake dresses as sikhs, being supporters of Simranjit Singh Mann (leader shromni Akali Dal Amritsar) nd created nuisance by attempting to snatch the microphone from Jathedar of Akal Thakt, Giani Gurbachan Singh.

Which resulted SGPC (run Golden Temple Task Force) swung into action immediately and took on mann's supporters.

Later it came into notice that 3 people are in fake dresses nd are not sikhs who does not belong to mann's party.

Now these culprits are under SGPC custody and acepted that they belong to shiv sena.

Simranjeet Mann was supposed to speak though or not?

Wait i found a link with 3 videos of Jathedar speaking about situation and simranjeet's speech apparently.

Amritsar: Over 12 people were injured when two groups clashed inside the premises of the Golden Temple in Amritsar this morning.

The clashes followed an altercation that reportedly happened between the two groups during a ceremony organised to mark the anniversary of Operation Bluestar.

Sources say Simranjit Singh Mann of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) reportedly wanted to address the gathering but his demand was turned down by the Akal Takth Jathedar. This reportedly left his supporters angry who then clashed with the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee or SGPC task force members.

Members of the two groups, seen brandishing swords and lathis, clashed for close to half an hour.

The situation is calm now. Heavy security deployment is in place.

Terming the clashes "unfortunate," SAD spokesperson Prem Singh Chandu Majra said the SGPC will take action against the culprits.

This is very sad to see to happen in near Harmandir Sahib. I also saw a pic of some Singh getting evacuated by SGPC goons who tore his pagh off.....

  3. Sangat ji, daas Jagraj singh here. I just want to point out that I dont have any chele. If I did, then trust me, I;d have them editing videos and answering youtube comments rather than myself. Nor am I a baba, again evidenced by the fact that I'm online too much and not on the line to akaal purakh ji.

Anyway, I think this thread is more about 3HO, KY and Sikhi and less about BasicsofSikhi. Please note, we do not promote dancing, doing beadbi or doing yoga as spiritual practice, we only promote Gurbani and Sikh history. The ask.fm question that veer Barinder Singh asked was answered by one of our sevadaars who is not into 3HO but a gursikh piara who tends to speak good of everyone. I dont intend to ask him to change that. Please do not take that the wrong way.

My benti to all those who read this thread is simply this. Please think long term. Our Guru did so and so should we. In raamkali ki vaar, Satte and Balvand describe Dhan Guru Angad Dev ji as "nere dekhe maat log, tudh sujhai door" "Humans look to short-term but you see far ahead". Remember that Yogi Bhajan is now gone but his legacy lives on. You have these people who wish to find God, be healthy and do dharam. They read Japji sahib and respect all our 10 Gurus and their Gurbani. How should the Sikh panth react to them? With Love and With education. Teaching Gurbani and Gurus History is the ONLY solution in the long term. My deepest fear ( see I'm not a baba) is that we might push them away like we pushed away the Ravidaasi community. We should focus on education/ parchar and teaching Gurmat to

    (1) Punjabis (2) western youth of punjabi origin (3) people in 3ho community (4) general westerners. All four groups need the same thing but each need it tailored to them. Daas's recommendations are

    (1) Punjabis - focus on Gurbani explanation to show depth of spiritual message - will adopt Amrit quite easily

    (2) western youth of punjabi origin - focus on Gurbani plus Sikh ethics (deg teg fateh) and relation to modern science. dont push away mone and people who cut beards, eyelashes etc. These need a lot more history - Will take longer to take Amrit but are strong Sikhs - always will have some who love Sikhi but dont take Amrit

    (3) people in 3ho community - focus on worship of shabad and avoid criticising Yoga - will keep rehat easily but Amrit and True love for Gurus comes from learning more history of Gurus. Must be Khalsa's job to inspire them with sant sipahi action, ie foreign aid, khalsa army

    (4) general westerners - need to very much more focused on systematic education, acceptance of people who dont keep kesh etc. Basically for every 10 average gore that come into Sikhi, 1 will take amrit, so we'll have to accept that there will be thousands of mone gore who like Sikhi and say "I'm kind of following Sikhi" and we cant judge them cause its going to be their grand kids that are the Khalsa of the future.

we need to adopt a minimum 100 year plan and work to implement that plan. Its quite likely that all hell will break loose in the meantime but we can only prepare for that as a contingency, not as a given. I think that the 100 year plan will really work when we have a UK takht, a US takht and each headed by a Punj Piare who are rehitvaan, vidhvaan, giaanvaan GurSikhs that are widely respected.

This plan sounds very achievable but for the part about 3HO is that they won't change their teachings. We have to look at the leader. Look at Yogi Bhajan himself. He himself was bad from the beginning into trying to get Sant Jarnail Singh killed and move to the west to spread his Kundalini yoga practice and also sexual charges against him. Look at the legacy of Yogi Bhajan for a second and questions will pop up about what he did in America. We as Sikhs do not want anything from these people that are trying to merge rituals into Sikhism and it is working as we are doing nothing about it because of our weak unity in the Panth at the moment. I believe that parchar is the main goal to bring these people into the real tenets of Sikhi but 3HO organizers will not change their way and will worshipping yogi Bhajan as Gursant Singh mentioned. Kundalini yoga has no place in Sikhi unless someone can prove me wrong.

  4. We need to admit it, the drug problem is all our own doing. The smugglers are all Jats from border areas who have made a lot of money in this trade. Then our lifestyle, we have chosen to adopt the fukra Bhangra (kunjar) culture instead of living a simple pious GurSikh lifestyle because that doesn't look cool enough. Our people have all become show offs, always trying to impress their relatives and friends with wealth, buying expensive brand names(tommy hilfiger is the most popular brand among rural youth now!). Aborting(murdering) off the girls in the womb, even though our Gurus have forbidden it. It's almost like our people sin but don't even feel a little bit of remorse doing sin. We have become indifferent to sin as if committing sin is no big deal.

How many Sikh parents in Punjab make sure their kids memorize and recite Japji Sahib and other Nitnemi Banis everyday? hardly any. The result is in front of us. We have abandoned the aasra of Gurbani and rehit and have become as worldly as anyone else and our children are burning in this Kalyugi world when boys become drug addicts and girls are losing their sharam.

You think that the Indian Gov. was not responsible for putting drugs in Punjab or the drug trade was already a big issue? Don't forget who is trying to Divide the Panth today and doing anything to stop the Sikhs from uniting.

  5. I disagree, The SIkh religion in its organised state may belong to Akal Thakat. The Dharam (the knowledge) does not belong to anyone. If the 3ho Sikhs are not abiding by rules of Akal Thakat, then its simple, they will split and create their own label. For 3ho Sikhs, its not about the label. The yoga practice and the rituals are the basics to their lifestyle. If Akal Thakat disagrees with them, do you really think they will change their ways? I don't think so.

This cult just hurts Sikhs overal

How are they hurting Sikhs overall?

I guarantee many mahapurakhs would call these people blind fools.....

Again, do you really think, they give any thoughts on Mahapurakhs based in India?

The knowledge from the Gurus don't belong to just the Sikhs, it belongs to the universe, be it may Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Devil worshippers, Atheists. Akal Thakat is not in control of this.

Lol oh man yeah sorry 3ho sikhs are much more devoted to Sikhi than mahapurakhs who have merged with the One. I think mahapurakhs know right from wrong in Sikhi. Akal Takht is the supreme throne of the Sikhs. Guru Hargobind himself started it and till now it is our authority but many Sikhs don't follow it. People might say it is corrupt and they have their opinion but it is our supreme authority still just like Catholics have the Church even though it has gone through rough times.

To be honest if you know about Yogi Bhajan and how he was against Sant Jarnail Singh ji and many sexual assault cases against him in America do you really think Sikhs want anything of their blind rituals and meaningless yoga practices?

  6. 3ho Sikhs have done huge amount to raise awareness of the Sikh faith in the western world. If Sikhs from an Indian back ground don’t agree with them. Well, it’s tough. I have previously posted my opinions on the subject before and these opinions have not changed. The 3ho Sikhs have donated huge amount in Amritsar, for the grace of God they have even taken the influences of the Sikh dharma to South America.

Outlook of 3ho Sikhs on this forum is portrayed in such a negative light, do they really give any thought to, what other main stream Sikhs think of them? No.

They will continue in their ways because that’s who these people are. If main stream Sikhs from an Indian origin don’t agree, they will establish their own sect and carry on. We have seen this in India and we will also see this around the world.

Sikhs dharma does not belong to people of Indian origin. Sikh dharma does not belong to SGPC, Akaal Thakat or any other religious body. If you want abide by Sikh dharma by following these bodies then this is your choice.

Don't think everyone will follow in the same direction.

Sikh dharma belongs to Akal Takht. Akal Takht is our supreme authority of the Sikhs. 3HO can be part of Sikhi if they drop the kundalini yoga and hindu rituals which is against Sikhi. Yogi Bhajan didn't even like Sant Jarnail SIngh ji and wanted to get rid of him. This cult just hurts Sikhs overall. I don't care if they bring awareness or gain thousands of followers. I would rather have one person following the real path of Sikhi. I guarantee many mahapurakhs would call these people blind fools.....

  7. sangat ji, , daas Jagraj Singh, this was brought to my attention just now... I've had to stay up to read it. Pls do not assume that if you put up a post on SS that we will pick it up asap. WRT to ask.fm, yes we have two other sevadaars from Birmingham that answer the qs, and I add to them. My wife does not participate in this.

WRT to Yogi Bhajan, no one from BasicsofSikhi will be doing his Nindiya. We are dogs and paapi moorakhs ourselves, and no one to judge anyone.

I have studied the 3HO organisation at close detail, met many of them and overall I find that they are not a bad influence. They fit into the pauri of "Dharmi log" of Japji Sahib, "Asank Jap, Asank Bhaao, asank Puja, Asank Tap Tao". They are trying to be spiritual and therefore do not become our enemies under the rules of Adharm, "asank gal vadd hatiaa kamaahe".

They themselves do understand what is Yoga and what is SIkhi? Now I agree that they dont understand Bani that well and fair enough they often dont give bani satkaar and for that my personal conclusion is to blame myself. If the Khalsa (of which I am part) dont educate people about the Shabad, (which we worship) then only the Khalsa is to blame.

Maharaaj kirpa kare, that this worm can spend the rest of his life speaking the praise of Gurbani and in this way, help to pass on the Gurus wisdom to all those who wish to listen.

Go read Gursant Singh's book about the 3ho sex cult and the TRUTH about Yogi Bhajan himself. That video is sickening and I don't understand why Yogi Bhajan is seen as someone honorable in our Panth. I don't care if he brought in thousands of gora into Sikhi. He is putting kundalini yoga pratice into Sikhi making it a hippie version out of it. It is unacceptable to me in my opinion. There is a lot against his cult and teachings and I hope sevadaars realize it was wrong to support 3ho.

  8. I don't think he is supportive of some of 3ho practices. He doesn't say it directly, but I remember hearing him indirectly mentioning it in one of his videos or maybe it was a comment he wrote, I forget which. He probably will not answer the question you have posted because if he condemns them, he will look very narrow minded and that will be detrimental for the overall parchar work he is doing of Sikhi to reach out to the wider audience. IMHO Some topics are left better untouched until we are in a stronger position.

Right now, we should just focus all our efforts on Parchar while encouraging other Sikhs who practice manmat to start following authentic Sikhi. All religious and political wrongs will be undone once our people become more religiously observant because a religious Sikh nation is a strong Sikh nation, the less religious we are the weaker we become. During the Singh Sabha movement, the Sikh parcharaks made it a point to not condemn any religion or even start anything political. But once Sikhs were stronger demographically and overall more religiously observant, then Sikhs felt they were in a stronger position to act more bold and then we see Sikhs openly opposing the British in Ghadhar movement, Gurdwara reform movement, Babbar Akali movement while also challenging the pujaris and mahants who were in control of our Gurdwaras. Right now our position is not good. We are a nationless nation, with no international support, most of our youth have become Patit both in India and abroad. To fix this, we need to make Parchar our top priority.

Another thing is, 3ho are small and have little no effect on Punjabi Sikh society because their movement is mostly geared towards Goras. We have bigger problems than them like the Kala Afghana Chelas, missionaries who are trying to turn Sikhs into atheists and on the opposite side of the spectrum we have to also deal with Sanatan Sikhs who are hell bent on trying to Hinduize Sikhi. And these two manmat groups are confusing the hell out of Sikhs instead of showing the clarity of the simple message of the Gurus.

You are absolutely right about the parchar. Our population is small and it is decreasing and not only that but the quality of our sangat is poor in terms of understanding Bani and history of Sikhism. I really think our 2nd priority is to get Good educated Sikhs or as many Sikhs we can to go back to Punjab to start something up. Some might disagree and say no that isn't the right way to handle things but the state of the Panth is silent and a movement is needed from leaders aboard India to push Gursikhs back into Punjab and fight against the corruption and possibly a separatist state. There is no way that Sikhi will flourish if our homeland in filled with drugs and alcohol and RSS organizers all over the place. Elder Sikhs have built gurdwaras all over the world and the youth need to wake up not all will but some have to start a bigger movement that needs help from Sikhs all over the world which can lead to something big for Sikhs in India. Hopefully the Panth will wake up before another genocide happens....

Yes there are cults all over the world with their own manmat teachings from yogis and they can be dealt with after we have unity in the Panth. Then we can start getting rid of the sects/deras that are a poison to our Panth.

  9. I kind of see where you are coming from. I really can't say why he would not answer my question. In all honesty, if it was any other jatha being questioned would he put up the question? They have a sevadar answering the questions along with Jagraj Singh:

Who answers the questions here? Is it just jagraj veerji or there is some one else also? I want to know who to thank for answering our questions in such a nice way and helping us to get closer to waheguru. :)
Its a sevadaar ji, and Jagraj Singh answers a few. Thank Vaheguru not us...

I think this is the wrong approach. The Sikh community needs clarity on 3HO today not when they are brainwashed further by non Sikh teachings.

In no way are 3HO small. Go to their classes and attend their events to see. They have a lot of naive punjabis hooked and they are cashing them out. I don't see why these groups cannot be addressed at once.

Not just Jugraj Singh Ji answers the questions he has his wife and other sevadaars I believe helping him answer the questions on his ask.fm as he has many many unanswered questions.

  10. Who is Gurjant Singh and can you provide his writings here or a link to them.

Sorry his name is Gursant Singh who used to be part of Yogi Bhajan's cult and left and started to expose Yogi Bhajan's dirty tactics. He has a youtube channel where he discusses about 3HO and modern day problems with Sikhs in America. He is a fundamentalist Sikh but wrote a whole book about his journey becoming a Sikhi and Yogi Bhajan's cult. Here is his facebook page of his book https://www.facebook.com/ConfessionsOfAnAmericanSikh

  11. One of the biggest fear youth have today about joining Sikhi is what will happen to my friendships I have and how will society accept me as a Sikh. What will happen to my business partners will they look at me the same way? What about my friends they might try to avoid me after taking up uncut hair and dastar? They fear the disconnection from what they perceive currently as their heart and soul of their social life. Many worldly pleasures they enjoy now will have to be set on the back burner and this means losing social life associates that were created at bars, pubs, and clubs. Will others look at me weird. None of them will admit this to you directly, but I have spoken to enough of them and this is the biggest hurdle for them. They can't let go of these things. The uncut hair, worldly talks, partying, etc is the thing that keeps them going in life and part of a bigger society. They are the like the heroin addict, but hooked on their social life status provided by their behavior and physical projection.

These insecurities they have can only be fixed by truly contemplating over Gurbani and directed by Gurmukhs. The recipe is simple. You got to give them something more powerful that gives them security and a social life, where they can go air out their concerns and questions in an open manner without feeling judged. Some will be better off starting together with others and some will be better off starting by themselves, depending on their personalities.

Truly they don't understand the point of being a Sikh if they are scared of society with much examples from our own history where Sikhs back then had a price on their head it is a poor excuse for them to say that they won't be able to fit in society. If they started to hang around with Gursikhs for awhile I guarentee many Sikhs can change their mindset. They just need to be taught the right way and be lead onto the right path.

  12. I can think of 20 guys and 7 girls who cut their hair because they were not fitting in the party, club, pub seen. These are 27 people who received proper Sikhi teachings. Nothing to do with they were not taught about Sikhi.

This bogus excuse of they were only given turban and hair uncut as Sikhi is only true for a very small group of people.

Majority wanted to fit in with rest of society. They did not feel right drinking, partying, womenizing, and sleep around with Guru Sahib's saroop. Just shows they were taught Sikhi.

Now look at the mona parents and children. Ask them why they dont keep hair? They say it is not a must as a Sikh to keep hair. So who is the really problem blocking Sikh youth from following Sikhi? it is those people who tell lies that hair uncut is not a must. It is those who pick and choose what they want to follow in sikhi and then force this on others.

All these false teachings have done a lot of damage to Sikhi. These fake gyanis are the problem.

We need to teach a different style to make sure they have full love and passion following Sikhi way of life. The way we teach our youth today kind of puts pressure on them and fear at the same time as I have observed in my own sangat. Also having gyanis and ragis who have not much education and don't even know english can't reach out to the youth. They are just going in for the money and even are scared to do kathas as in the case in my own gurdwara. We have to be real on the issue of keeping hair. We have to teach the real signifance of keeping our hair and teach differently and N30Singh's example of sant isher singh's gurmat camps is a perfect example on ways to strengthen one's faith and spirituality. The thing is many of our elder Sikhs (not all) aren't taking considerations from the youth seriously.

Now I am hearing more conversion in UK happening of Sikh girls/boys converting to Islam. It's been going on forever but whats leading them to convert is the question. Sikh parents need to be educated.

  13. He is definitely one of hidden bhramgyani/atamgyani mahapursh, baba ji held meditation simran camps which lasted for months, those who wanted to attend went through rigorous test (baba ji quizzed into fornes-thoughts, bairaag, internal bibek, nitneem and rehat) ..students had to go test and filtering process to filter and accept only serious bhagti students.

Camps are usually held in outside tapoban and bushes last time i checked. Read the above post questions and answers..most recommended for serious bhagti seekers.

did he talk about Sikh Kaum in the future or keeps it gupt like some mahapurakhs? Very interested to have a discussion with him when I plan to go to India next summer.

  14. Do you think that many Sikh youth today should influenced into doing Sikhi parchar?I know it might be a lifetime job or can be a part time job but if you look at our quality within our quantity (24Mill) the state of the panth is pretty bad and silent. Our population is decreasing. The Akal Takhat jathedar telling us to have 4 kids is a excuse for his poor management of parchar in punjab (no surprise). I really think the upcoming generation can use a lot of parchariks to make Sikhs keep their faith intact and welcome others into Sikhi. Many will disagree with me on the part that Sikhs are more about quality than quantity that is very true but it can become a problem like today.

Now we can take the example of Muslims who have tremendous amount of money put into making Muslim centers just to discuss and teach Muslims and others about Islam. In America alone, Muslim population has doubled since 9/11. We have rarely any Sikh centres and our gurdwaras are just a go and eat place. We are a rich minority population in many countries. Our population has swerved up just a notch but many are leaving our faith and many have decided to get rid of kesh. I really think the older generation of Sikhs have done great jobs making gurdwaras and running them but the lack of parchar is pretty sad even here in America. The amount missionaries in Punjab that are just blindly converting Sikhs is plain said. I really think we can use more parchariks to bring Sikhi awareness and strength for the future of the Panth.

    Any opinions on this?

  15. Both. Religion Sikh, culture Panjabi. Both help form my identity on this earth.

And who do you think you are asking us to choose?

Or to accept that people want to use their cast names and look at other bigger issues in the panth.

caste names just bring more divisions within the panth especially when it comes to marriage. We need to understand how there is no caste in Sikhi ever since Khalsa Panth was established. Caste is a big issue today in our panth and of course other issues as well we need to work on.

  16. what is wrong with the youth today they need help for everything soon it will be help i cant feed myself, help i need some help getting into the shower. MAN UP

lol thank you. A Sikh guy shouldn't be afraid of approaching anyone especially a good looking girl...smh

  17. I get the impression most of you don't know how bad today's 'older generation' were when they were young. Today's young generation of Sikhs are saints and monks in comparison from a moral point of view. For example, during my grandfathers time the old Havelock Road Gurdwara in Southall in the early 1970's was where the men would sit in the langar hall (which was an outside tent back then) with bottles of whiskey on Sunday late afternoons. Opium, gambling, extra marital affairs etc........things are so much better these days. Young Sikhs are so much more moral these day than they used to be.

hm I don't know about that with the situation of how many Sikhs now days are marrying outside of marriage, not following Sikhi, involved in pre-martial sex, I'd say this generation is worse.
