Throughout the years there has been problems here and there in our Panth ranging from different areas that affect the Panth as a whole. The Punj Pyare court system isn't a new brought up idea but why don't Sikh gurdwaras/councils/organizations take it into consideration? I have heard so many times Sikhs talking about it but don't push it first in their agenda. We really need to push for a punj pyare to govern gurdwaras in a country. This has to be one of the top ideas all Sikhs should be pushing forward in the coming years. The benefit of having a punj pyare system will solve many issues that are revolving in our Panth. It has to happen and it will help stabilize the Panth.

Questions to ask ourselves:

1) Can different groups AKJ, Taksali, Nihungs.. come to together and make an agreement to set up the punj pyare regardless of differences?

2) Who will be against this decision that the Panth will have trouble with(gw committees, jathas?)

haha I take Sikhs parents who refuse marriages because of caste issues/societal values very seriously cuz they need some knowledge dropped on their heads. If you convinced your dad that caste is absolutely non-existent and he agrees but he still worries about society tell him you still have family to resolve your issues in the end. Your dad should know Sikhs don't worry about public's opinion or societal values in the end. The chances if your partner and you are an absolute match there will be slight to none problems in the future. Hope all the best.

The Romans understood this when they attempted to convert conquered peoples to the worship of the Greco-Roman Pantheon, that by laying common ground and pointing out similarities between the two faiths people might be more easily coaxed into a conversion. I'm sorry to say that, as you pointed out, our more hard-line brothers are probably not the best people to impart the message, whereas institutions such as the Damdami Taksaal and the Nirmalas which have a grounding in Hindu texts and Ancient Indian literature as well as an understanding of the subtleties of argument and critical thinking, may be better equipped to reach out to Hindus. I don't see that there are many other alternative solutions to the issue, other than resorting to the bullying tactics or bribery perpetrated by Christian and Muslim proselytes, which I'm sure none of us want.

There are Sikh missionaries in Punjab like Gurmat Gian Missionary who we all know have had some anti-panthic ppl come out from there but lets be serious SGPC Parchar committee has done what? Are there even Sikh Missionaries to go out of Punjab into other Indian regions? Literally, we're so unorganized. SGPC have the money and necessity to go out and do parchar to Hindus and train Sikhs to learn diff. languages to reach out and spread Gurmat but they can't even help the gareeb Sikhs in Punjab areas in the first place. It's so frustrating.

His relationship with Guru Sahib could be stronger than most users here and you are judging him before you even know him. Some of what you posted is true. Read Khalsa Raaj account in the biography of Bhai Rama Singh Ji who did get a glance of what Khalsa Raaj by a Shaheed Singh whom visited him after 1984. I am 45yr old . I am not Sikh by religion but hindu. For last three years I feel like there is some kind of evil or energy attacking. I feel unrested in sleep and feel tired when I wake up. I have seeked help everywhere but nothing has helped.

Many years ago I had met Sikh babaji who often visited Vancouver but he has passed away .I know there are babaji who in meditation can look at the problem and heal.pls if you know anyone who can help let me know.

If u say read holy script I have done all. Its three years since I am suffering. Once someone had seen my pic and could tell if I was disturbed in sleep and he said I was tired when I got up. I was amazed because I never had told me my problem.he was a healer but charged in thousand I could not afford.and he said there was evil in my house. If you know cure to this pls write.

do mool mantar all throughout the day and avoid babas who charge thousands of dollars. If you want to add on read some bani Japji sahib etc.... Take care of yourself and if it continues go to a local gurdwara and get some help from the granthi and if not maybe any one in sangat (Gursikh).

No that's not bad it is known as deep sleep or slumber and is better than dreaming since dream has an effect on your mind ie you lose your avastha

I have that and to be honest i think it makes it harder to give up for amritvela, but again true dreams can affect your avastha.

What if you don't dream at all? You just go to sleep and wake up? Is that considered something bad?
