as far as i know, its actualy only 3". but if you do wear a bigger one, i dont think the police realy kik up a fuss, as long as theres no problem caused. they sometimes have the fear that they may be liable if you reply with, you hurt religious sentiments.

i use a diamond sharpner. you need to try and get a 23 degree angle onto it. its in the way you try to sharpen it. my sri sahibs r razor sharp now. if not doing it correctly you just end up giving it a rounder edge, lol.

stay a few nights at darbar sahib. if your amrit dari, go for the ishanaan seva at 12 midnight. jus have full kesi ishanaan, wear banaa, and go inside golden temple. the singhs der will tell u d rest. seriously, do not miss this oppertunity if your going. and go pooran ji amrit vela!!
