  1. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa

    Waheguru ji ki Fateh

    There is famous proverb

    "Prevention is better than cure"

Meaning, it's easier to stop something happening in the first place than to repair the damage after it has happened.

    Think about marriage first !

    Waheguru ji ka Khalsa

    Waheguru ji ki Fateh

Though this is really wisdom at its purest its sometimes not enough and needs dissection,

So ill try break it down further, everyday is a battle vs the mind its easier to do what the mind wants us to do, just follow the flow but once we fall in to bad habits it takes twice the effort sometimes to break away, and when we understand it was a mistake it leads to depression and sadness and we start thinking why are things so bad for me, why have I been cursed, i dont want to be like this and so on.. So my advice is have a good little sit down and go over everything in your mind over the pluses and negatives and come to a grown up decision about which path you want to take

1 Guru's way which is by far the most golden form of love and logical thinking

2 or the day to day chaos of what the mind yearns

  2. Sikhni777, I used get attacked by tall black shadows in hooded cloaks, used to get random gremlin looking things and demonic creatures sitting on me, the tall black shadows were the most common ones. I used to get levitated off my bed, I got up one night with my jaw locked, I couldn't move it because a demonic woman had locked it. I ran to my parents room screaming.

Gurbani says life is like a dream- it isnt real its a khel.

The 14 realms are created from the mind/heart of God. They were created from a word- from frequency. God has no image or form.

And so those demons are as real as your parents, your friends, your family. Everything and everyone we can see is an illusion and an image, there's only really Him (no image no form no colour).

What you had sounds very similar to what millions of people report every year, its called sleep paralysis ive had it where i would here a female wispering in to my ear while my whole body was paralyzed, its not demons or spirits, with the little information we have we make up things up thinking we might be able to explain it. Heres some information sleep paralysis.

As for Op i think you need to convince her to get medical attention do it in the way you can, you already are and its a smart way, saying if its true then a simple check up from the doctor wont stop what she is experiencing. Though science intrinsically can not give your mother the answer if it is a spiritual experience, my advice is to reach out to Bhai Amolak singh jee from Sidney the kirtani he has a practical jevan and has spent many months with Gurmukhs at Prubh milne ka choa Moga and spent 2 week with Bhai Ajeet singh jee here in the Uk doing 18 hour plus simran and learning more about the Spiritual Marag, he may be able to guide you in a better manner than us people who dont know any thing about particle jeven gurbani tells us to follow.

  3. Singh lol how are your mates getting hold of coke so easy, thats a bad crowd indeed who can get coke on call

I remember my high school days where most of my mates used to smoke skunk, they knew i was a singh so never asked or ever smoked around me, i had a set of good friends in-between the smokers who were Sikh but were the typical cut hair drinker/partiers types, but always looked at me and were like Jas dont you ever do this you're a pug wala it will look bad. Guru kirpa i never felt tempted to try a spliff or a drink, but if i didnt have any other sangat outside this group im sure over time the thoughts would have started creeping in.

I think my best advice is to slowly distance your self from bad sangat, and if you can just tell them black and white you are in mad dept coz of this and feel depressed coz of the drug use. The issue here is addiction and you need control of mind to do so.

If your punjabi is good listen to this, when i was watching reminded me to send you this. Sikhi is very easy to kaama its all about discipline, is all about Agaarta (control of mind) with this control of thought we are freed from Maya, but can only do so threw teachings of Bani and Meditation (simran) which is the tool to control thoughts, the more simran the easier to control your actions become.

  4. Its funny u havnt made a post condemning this scumbags blatant opportunistic beadbi, yet u ONLY got offended, wen we use words against this mug? Im sorry but we hold our gurus in great light and deep affection, i could give 2 hoots about some bum-bandits feelings and defo couldnt careless about wat chamchay like u say. Wat diference is there in wat this guy did, and wat ram rahim did, by immitating our guru, esp by dressing up? 12th guru, who's a bender?

How old are you like 10, offending every gay person buy using homophobic language is how you express your outrage.

Black person does something wrong "your logic" F this N8gger for xyz

White person does something that upsets you "F this Cracker"

Yup thats what Sikhism teaches hate and intolerance dummy

  5. Ardass is done from the heart, read the Bani's of the Bhagats on what they asked for before they had met Guru or Akaal purak its from here we'll understand what Ardas is, and as for pardarats like a child or "god im about to go for a job please let me get it" or please let me pass a exam, god doesnt bother him self with these ardasa, he has left the running of the Universe to Kaal and everything within it, there is Bani which talks about the fool who comes in from of Guru and closes his eyes and starts asking for worldly good, Guru shaibs goes on to say there is only 1 thing which the Guru house offers is Naam. And its this Naam of which and sustains the universe, so your choice a new car, better grades, a promotion or something which Guru shiab says you should thrive to reach. I know there will be some who will be like "well so i cant ask for worldly goods or a better life?" to those people yes you can but know its not Guru jee you are asking but his sevak, I cant find the shabad maybe someone can help, "Thakur Shord Dasi Ko Sevia Munmuk und igiana"

Is it not better to be in the circle of the sikhs who follow

thhir ghar baisahu har jan piaarae ||

Sit in the house of ones own self, O beloved servant of the Lord (Thhir Ghar is another name of Dasam Duaar)

sathigur thumarae kaaj savaarae ||1|| rehaao ||

The True Guru shall resolve all your affairs

  6. Thats quite a admission benji not many people are so open about their short comings, reminds me off a talk Guys spiers a Value investor gave where talked (ill link because i think we can get knowledge and wisdom from all walks of life) about after graduating Oxford and talking business at Harvard he felt the world owed him a large salary, and the worldly things that came with it. As a investment banker he worked at a firm which has less than savory attitude to morals, he goes on to say he suffered envy, jealousy at other people who were more successful and were doing better.

What Gurbani says about these thoughts are they are brought on by Kaal, which controls the Punj choor which is apart of the 3 guuns Guru Amar Das jee talks about in Anand shiab, where the wold is a sleep in Tria Gun, Rajo, Tamo, Sato,

    thrai gun keeaa pasaaraa ||

He formed the expanse of the entire universe from the three gunas, the three qualities

thrai gun aap sirajian maaeiaa mohu vadhhaaeiaa ||
He Himself formed the three gunas, the three qualities; He increased the attachment to Maya.

thrai gun maaeiaa khael bhar bhar dhhovee||
The Maya with her three gunas (qualities - rajas, tamas and sattv) plays her games and sometimes fills the man (with hopes and desires) and at another time empties him totally frustrating his plans.

There is no quick fix benji of stopping these thoughts, it will take time and effort but Guru Jee has given us the tools to combat these three guns and ultimately conquer Maya, like a previous post i made, a minimum amount of Simran a day as a Sikh should be no less that 2 hours 40 miniutes, though depending on your hunger for gur-sikhi jevan and how long you maybe currently doing simran/bani, it may sound daunting, i would suggest if it seems like to much start with 40 mins in the morning 40 mins in the eve, and build it up.

Secondly its good you are aware of the thought in your mind, be aware of them and target the thoughts you think in the short term you can try to work on which arnt so heavy, then move to the next over a while months you will see progress threw the simran and actively combating thoughts you will see real progress.

  7. @Guest heres a Audio of Sant Bhupinder Singh Je he goes in to detail on where gurbani talks about minimum amount of Simran we should every day. Bhai Gurdas Jee has gone in to details of Sikhi jeevan if you are looking to do some research of your own. The tenets of Sikhism are based around control of the mind, which covers all possible issues we could ever face.

  8. For how long there is division with the ones Sikhs we look up to, there will always be division among the lower ranks, Though from all of Sant Jarnail singhs audio, Sant Ishwer singhs, Baba Mohninder singh jarg, Bhai Seva singh audio all have 1 message to reach Naam.

Guru Gobind singh jee said only those who have Rehat will represent my Khalsa, Guru Granth shiab jee lays out what Rehat is, its the Rehat of Dasum duaar, from where Gods true form is present and where our minds true home is, im sure all have heard of the term Nijgh ghaar. Till then Bani tells us that we are all untrustworthy and only those who have rid them selves threw Naam of the Shackles of Maya we are just Manmukhs.

Manmukh is someone who has no control over his/her thoughts, how to tell if u are or not, take a seat and start some simran or reading bani, if at anytime your mind starts wondering to other things, other than the concentration of the simran or bani. Your a manmukh, but dont despair to much if you are on the path of and are trying to whole heartly following the way you've learnt sikhi you are called Astick the opposite of Naastick.

This is how Guru Gobind singh jee said is how Vaheguru instructs his Khalsa, remember Khalsa is vahegurus army, not no mans army. Guru jee says those Sants/Brahm Giaans follow the command of Vahegurus direct order.

Well us plebs all we have is our own intellect to go on, is why Guru jee said i reside in my Khalsa.

  9. For years ihave just been hearing storys of sikhs claiming this and that etc.. saying this happens that happens when you do simran.. we are this we are that...but theres nothing to show for anything we do?.. we say things like we are warriors blah blah are we really a warrior race? I agree we were but are we now?... are we anything we claim to gore etc?.. "oh i felt this tingling feeling in my head" and we tell gore this is what happens when you're in bliss and dasam dwar this and that... talking about ridhi sidhis amrit ras naam ras and all these other ras's when its nothing but a little head rush or something biological.. its just like the time when i was a kid.. i was doing simran 2-3 in the morning and there was flashes of thunder.. i thought i was going off my boat etc... and many other things like that

Its seems to me people (us sikhs) are just making up things now to make ourselves look good or something???.. and acting like that we know everythung about naam ras and this and that etc when i bet u all havent had any excperiences yes im talking to all of you reading this post... i know for sure if i was spirtually high i wouldnt be on this fourm thats for sure

So whats up with all this fakery with our people ????????? Someonr please enlighten me without being all butthurt about what i said

I like this guy more of him !

  10. Gurbani viakran is never wrong.

You seem to like to create tension is it some way to create more conversation

either way it is wrong if you are doing gurbani veechar wrong, i could see perfectly someone doing gurbani veechar worng, not understanding the words and or pronouncing it wrong which in some cases would change the meaning, i wonder have you ever been to a santhia class.

  11. This isn't an argument on something small, rather it is an argument on the only one who gives us life: Guru Sahib himself. Ram Rai was excommunicated for changing one word of Guru Sahib. Do you know just how serious Guru Sahib and each of his Angs are? More valuable than everything in the world put together.

    In before closure xD

Yes but like someone said, either you call Bhai Randeer singh a lier or Sant Kartar Singh Bhindranwale a lier, no ones going to do so, though it obvious what both sides think. The issue remains one side has to be right, i know which side i stand on, the question is believing in or not believing in Raag mala and having zero Jeevan, being trapped to Kaam kroad and the other 3 vices, not having a solid Nitnem, or waking early to do your Simran abiaas, stop you from going to Naraak.

I can answer that gurbani says educated and un-educated people can get to bruhm giaan, its not predicated on you knowing punjabi its comes down to who reaches Naam, who ever does is given the full knowledge of Lock and parlock (physical universe and the unseen universe of vaheguru)

So get to less debating and figure out the vices that trouble you and get working on ridding those from your life. As we are judged on the thoughts we have in this short period on earth.

  12. Using gurbani viakran rules the correct meaning for the tuk you have posted is: One who kills himself through the vichaar (of shabad i.e. naam abhiyaas) is saved and does not enter birth again. Here vichaar means the vichaar of shabad, not thoughts. The meaning you have given is the one PMKC use, and you will probably ignore gurbani vikaran rules in favour of believing in your mahapurash above all else. The veechar here is spelt with a sihaari at the end which gives the meaning THROUGH. SO if you give the meaning of vichaar as thoughts then the meaning would become "through the thoughts one is saved" which doesn't make sense. So the correct meaning of vichaar in this case must mean "shabad di vichaar"

So through the concentration on gurshabad/gurmantar our mind is killed, hence we become saved and free from rebirth.

In any case both meanings are similar so I won't get into an argument about this. Your meanings are still fine under gurmat principles.

Well this is just wrong, i wonder where you are learning this, i suggest listening to a few audios of Sant mohinder singh ji jarg wale or Baba Isher singh je, on what constitutes as killing ones mind (veechar)

  13. Can you corroborate that claim with evidence? I don't remember ever encountering 'big lizards' when I read the King James Bible.

Big Lizards lol, kinda reminds me of Raptor Jesus,

Personally if Sikhism was based on faith alone like all other religions i wouldnt follow it, but i would have to credit the teachings of the Guru Granth shiab jee to be the most secular text of any religious bodies, fair treatment of animals, women to have the same rights as men, or men to have the same rights as women, which ever way you want to look at it, a importance in solidarity with others, a constant nudge to move away from prideful thinking, the list really does go on.

But as its based on empirical evidence backed with testable concepts. Is why i 100% identify my self as a follower of Guru Granth Shaib Jee.

  14. Personally its sad and a thing to feel biraag over

imo Bhai Balbir singh was sincere in his benti to Ashuthosi when he was pleading for kirpa, its sad it was a fake saadh not a true gurmukh or saadh as there's multitude of examples of people pleading infront of Sadhus sants bhagats within Guru granth shaib you would just need to listen to Bhagats banis to see it.

God willing Bhai Balbir singh will find a true gurmukh who can show him the path to Darga, If only we had this desire and thirst within us that we could find a true Gurmukh to show us the true path.

This is a preemptive comment as people have a way to twisting the meaning of what you say. What he did was wrong only because he was doing it to a fake saad, if it was say Bhagat Kabir who he was pleading with, would we be treating this differently, what we have to ask are there Gurmukhs like Bhagat kabir jee still here.

Personally would i be able to do this say if it was sant kartar singh ji bhindranwale, Sant Ishwer singh or Baba Nandh singh probably not, no, out of discomfort and feeling to self conscious but would i express this respect and admiration in my mind you bet.
