  1. What a comical comment and thinking that as "the majority of death of wives are carried out by husbands statistically speaking",

this girl is innocent. Thank God, you did not become a lawyer.

I did say the girl is innocent because there is no way she could be there and no have trace evidence on her or make escape as they claim without leaving evidence behind .... maybe I was clumsy in the way I stated it but 40% of murdered women worldwide are killed by their partners that is from a WHO report (http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2013/06/21/who-study-forty-percent-of-murdered-women-killed-by-their-partners), most women are attacked by people they know so it would be a reasonable investigative start point to see if the husband had motive (yes) opportunity (probably)and stood to gain (yes his freedom). The fact he disappeared from the country as soon as the young lady was imprisoned says volumes.

  2. I think it looks like the rav vali kacherey I know but is cut with triangular nafa line , are there closeup photos available ? I could then work out myself what it method and write it up . Singhs and Singhnian should know how to construct these themselves , never know what tomorrow will bring .

  3. Waheguru ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh

do you know if anyone has posted the cutting and sewing instruction on youtube for these kachherey as I can sew rav rectangular ones from scratch but I need to learn this style to be able to make and teach next generation of my family (my Mum taught me when I was a young teenager). I would love to teach these to my boys and girl.

  4. Calling 5 different priests from different faiths "Panj Piyare" is not appropriate, otherwise all faith prayers for the deceased is not a bad idea at all.

From what I understood the two deceased were Sikh , presemably amritdhari thus the whole hoo ha of a punj but why the need for so many different faiths participation ? Simple bhog rusam should have been done no superstitions entertained, they were not appropriately attended to if it is necessary to be carried back by amritdhari Singhs (I do not know if this is a requirement) ultimately their souls will not be affected by the treatment of their bodies otherwise what solace for those families whose loved ones have been 'disappeared'. 3HO have been led by a mega-egoist and it is not a surprise if they are stumbling around now clueless and pointless. We as good Gursikhs need to help them understand what is necessary in the light of Gurbani and what is superstition of false belief constructs.

  5. Bro jkvlondon yoy have right to hold your pov, but that is just neither true nor gurmat. The so called gods are shown to have human shortcomings like lust, anger, greed, cowardice, pride etc, whenever attacked by rakshas( i believe they had better chatacter than "gods" ) would run helter skelter for help to goddesses. In Gurbani gods and goddesses are only ridiculed .I have shown quotes from gurbani in some other thread on concept of avataarvaad in Sikhi also, may quote here if required .Rquest, please do not misinterprete gurbani in brahminical light it has already done a lot of damage. I do not wish to annoy or agitate anybody so respectfully please give it a thought

Waheguru ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji Ki Fateh,

what exactly did I say was anti-gurmat I said Guru ji Stayed with Akal Purakh's Charan instead of following any devta and that Dasam Bani also in in same context the devte may/may not exist it is irrelevant for us as Gursikh because they are not PooJnikh in our eyes compared to Akal Purakh. The stories have been written out but are not accompanied with advice to pray to them ...if I had said THAT then yes I would be guilty of being antigurmat ... sorry that you see enemies where there is none

  6. By literal definition they would be Sikhs in the same way Mian Mir was a Sikh, or Pir Bhudhu Shah. Both were students of the Guru, but retained their religious identities, (Sufi) anyone can meet Vaheguru, but Sikhi is the simplest way. I agree that we shouldn't use the term "Bhagat Bani" because in reality there is only one Bani, "Sach Bani"

Actually when anyone reaches that state no difference remains no religion remains only Akal Purakh ... it's so beautiful really

  7. I disagree with Jonny 101.Our great Guru mentioned Hindu gods in his compulation only because we need a reference material for discussionwith people of other faiths, for the same purpose were the singhs sent to Kashi for studying Hindu philosophy and scriptures( this cannot mean he was fan of hinduism) Siri Guru Gibibd Singh Ji message is clear in Chaupai we recite daily - when he says Mai na ganeshai pritham manaoo, Kishan Bishan kabhoo nah dhiyaoon. Kaan sunai pehchaan na tin so - meaning, I do not wish to pray Ganesh first, neither would I recite name of Kishan or Bishan( Vishnu and his Incarnations) I hear from Them only but there is no sign if their existense, Alas we recite gurbani but never try to undestand the message lying therein.

    Veer ji,

Guru ji says he doesn't recognise them, doesn't remember them, doesn't listen to their praise because his chit is with Akal Purakh's charan. in other words they exist as entities but they have no value in front of Akal Purakh , that is how Guru ji leads us . In Dasam Granth Guru ji has translated the sanskrit to common languages so people can come to know what they were denied knowledge of by pandits, and then Guru ji has given Gurmukh context by telling us who we are dedicated to and how one battles against the tyrants and adharam .The Gods and Goddesses exists in the crodes but they are as nothing for a sikh as his/her dhian is only with Mahakaal, Akal Purakh Waheguru.

  8. well, we have to at least acknowledge that even if Jesus was a "messiah" than it would all mean nothing because he didn't write the Bible. In fact, Sikhi is the only religion,(not cult), to have it's "scripture" (Guru Sahib) written by the Guru themselves. And the only religion which has religious writings only non-members of the faith.

I dislike this thing that we do: the Bhatts and Bhagats were 'Sikhs'(definition of Sikh: student/disciple) of the highest state because they were one with Akal Purakh , we should say we recognise Divinity in each person no matter where their origin is (show example of Bhagat bani i.e. Gurbani) and everyone has the chance to reach Akal Purakh if the advice Of Jagat Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is taken to heart. Jadd Guru Arjan Dev Ji neh Bhagat Bani darj kita see he never recognise as seperate from adi granth he did mathe tek to all the bani we cannot seperate it in our minds either.

  9. There's a ancient Roman shrine in London dedicated to the Persian / Roman god Mithras. It was built by the Romans when they occupied Londonium. At the time of Jesus's life, the most popular god of all was Mithras. The story of Mithras was that he was born in a barn and when he was born a light shone and 3 kings came from the east bearing gifts, specifically gold, frankincence and myrrh. Mithras died on a cross but before he did he celebrated a last supper with his 12 disciples, who represented the 12 signs of the zodiac.

All Jesus's followers did, was to blatantly steal the story behind the most popular diety of the time and attribute the exact same story to Jesus.

Jesus, when he was alive was a very good Jew. That fact is summed up with his sermon to the moneylenders at the Temple in Jeruselum. He never advocated a separate and distinct religion. His followers were basically the Nazerine sect of Judaism.

It was only much much later after his death, when Jews were being expelled from Jeruselum, that his Nazerine followers said they were not jews and were instead a totally separate new religion, simply to save their own skins and be allowed to stay in Jeruselum.

I say we're very lucky that Kirpal 'singh' Massi has left us to join them. He's obviously an incredibly thick and gullible person so is where he belongs. We're far better off without simpletons like him.

Jesus is the messiah of Judaism but unfortunately those jewish scholars/rabbis of his time failed to recognise him as fufilling the ages old prophecy and thus are still waiting on their 'messiah' ... if you look at his life he was constantly trying to bring the jews to the path of Yahweh, I mean the Jews had obstructed the technology of nam jap by hiding the correct pronounciation as it was 'too holy' to be uttered and he was reminding them of that and how to conduct themselves in a compassionate way but they didn't like that and handed him to the Roman governor for punishment- death.

The new testament is incomplete it omits the books of mary magdalene and the essenic scrolls which agree with reincarnation, compassion of diet i.e. vegetarianism it keeps the 'approved' list of books so Christianity is incomplete on many levels.

  10. Despite Sikhi is the best religion, how exactly were they successful in countering Christian missionaries. The last time I checked there are over 2 billion Christians and over 2 billion Muslims and only 25 million Sikhs. I even made a previous topic on why Sikhi failed to spread, even if it's the best religion.

you cannot compare apples and oranges these faiths converted by sword , we didn't. They have been around longer we have been around for 500 years and much of the last 250 in battle for survival ...in fact I would cout now as crunch time. if you went to the facebook link you can see the mentalities surrounding us in other faiths, they are all circling like vultures waiting to pick our people's bones of our flesh(sikhi).

The time is now to become white-hot gursikhs to burn away all the chaff of hindu culture in terms of superstitions and caste. Then who could show their faith as better than sikhi?

  11. In my view she is guilty as sin as I followed the case back in 2007 and read how she was sleeping around going clubs getting drunk while at uni which is a typical thing that these slaags get up to....

so i say let her rot in jail not only for the crime of murdering a pregnant innocent woman but the even worser sin of sleeping and having relations with a non-sikh guy and a muslim at that.

Let us pray that Waheguru destroy such females before they take birth so the panth is spared of such appalling evil women disgracing and giving sikh women a bad name. We need to restore the respect and honour that such women are trying to malign with their vile antics.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh

    penji ?

where is your self-poise ? your compassion ...karmi apo apni keh nedae keh door ... it's simple she got played by the muslim, he murdered his wife and implicated her, what need did he have of cheating on his young wife ? obviously he was an unsavoury person from the start. it shouldn't matter if she went with a sikh or non-sikh she shouldn't be with anyone she is not married to. Waheguru brought her into this world and looks after her we have no right to do blasphemous ardas we have to stay in hukam , we can however pray for them to be shown the right path .

The police failed to investigate fully, which has happened often in cases involving the ethnic minorities, plus there has been a PC culture with regards muslim suspects where known criminals were not brought to book because police didn't want accusations of islamophobia look at yorkshire etc.

If anyone stabs someone there has to be a lot of rage , and sustained rage for the number of strikes involved here, the dedicated attack on the unborn child seems to indicate investment in the death of the kid foremost . The amount of blood spatter would have left plenty of forensic evidence on the attacker and around the attacker there is no chance they could have escaped through a window or door without leave a massive amount of forensic evidence ... even cleaning would not remove that fully. Logically it seems an inside job ...and the majority of death of wives are carried out by husbands statistically speaking.

  12. though its not right for an innocent person to go to jail and i hope she is freed right away - the problem is that she has to rebuild her life ie continue her education, however the big problem is marriage who would want to marry her knowing that she has been having sex with a muslim

ultimately this is big behzti for sikhs.....my cousin aged 38 recently said..the first thing a sikh girl does is go out with a muslim

really you think that is her biggest problem...not having the world still doubt her innocence in the case of murder? you are being a bit more than ridiculous and showing just what kind of person you are ...

  13. This is sad example of how our folks cant appreciate someone who are trying to do some good and that too for non-profit. Yes, nobody is perfect but at least we folks need to appreciate the good work they do. If not then atleast respect them by not airing your strong negative opinions against someone who is doing for NON PROFIT.

Tomorrow, folks will crticize that they dont like this jatha style or that jatha style etc and then we wonder why we dont have unity.

it does not matter one jot if it's for profit or not ...GURBANI should not, can not, be mangled shudh ucharan is the top priority... being foreign is not an excuse look at all the white gursikhs who made the effort and learnt to perfect ucharan such as Chardhi Kala Jatha.

  14. Veerji, Here's some of their efforts in providing a platform for musicians to do dharmic songs/music:

Warning to Delhi by Hindu Musician:

sorry but if relyricing the earth song constitutes genuine effort my standards are higher.

Mool Mantar by bibi Shabad Kaur:

I cannot listen to her mangling her pronouncing Gurbani ...nobody was on hand to advise her where it is going wrong?

  15. This is from the dharmic record label i mentioned previously, they r called "dharamseva records", here is wat they write on their site.

    "DharamSeva Records

Preserve the Past Inspire the Future

2013 proved to be a revolutionary year for conscious music! A long overdue dharamic (righteous living) music label finally launched in the form of Dharam Seva Records. Dharam Seva is spear-headed by Sundip Singh (Kaka Mohanwalia) and Gurmit Singh (Billa Mato), who previously plied their trade in Bhangra music industry, but destiny had other plans.

Recent years saw the pull of spirituality and dharam take a strong hold in their lives, and in 2012, both were blessed with the supreme gift of Khande de Phahul. The Singhs understood that by accepting this life-giving spiritual nectar, they were adhering to an active call of duty. As a result they decided to utilise their combined knowledge and experience for the propagation of a higher cause.

The project, has also touched the heart of global Bhangra stars and in its first year established as a UK Registered Charity making no profits and all work being done is Volantary.

Sundip Singh (Kaka Mohanwalia) last year released Singh Mareya Ni Mukhney on the album Jakara after becoming disheartened by the low number of quality dharamic music projects in existence. He became concerned that extraordinary dharamic music releases did not receive the promotion, recognition and level of attention, from the Punjabi music loving audiences that they deserved. With this in mind the concept of DharamSeva Records was born. The sevadaars used their connections and skills to set up a fully integrated framework, which now consists of Singers, Song Writers, Music Producers, Video Producers, Social Media, a PR Team and most importantly, a Not for Profit Record Label, which ensures that all profits will be reinvested into creating bigger and better dharamic projects.

So far many distinguished artists have committed to the cause including Diljit Dosanjh, Jazzy B, Harbhajan Mann, Sukshinder Shinda, Charanjit Ahuja, Durga Rangila, Satwinder Bugga, Jaz Dhami, KS Makhan, Tru-Skool, Kulwinder Johal, Kaos Productions, Gupsy Aujla, Raju Dinehwala, Benny Dhaliwal, Geeta Zaildar, Mangi Mahal, Bups Sagoo, DJ Dips, Jassy Jallanderi, Raman Aujla, Bikram Singh, Amit Rai, Inside Man, Meshi Eshara, Manak-E, Madan Maddi, Manjit Pappu, Sangra Vibes and legendary percussionist Juggy Rehal. As well as these household names, the label will be bringing back Mandeep Singh (The Specialist) and Baljinder Singh (Bally Rai) who have also received the blessings of Khande de Phahul since leaving the bhangra music industry.

The signing of mantra singer Shabad Deep Kaur from Belgium, Angrez Ali, Jagowala Jatha (Sikh Kavishri Singers) and Rashee Ragga, are all examples of the diversity the label. The underlying objectives are to help unite people of all faiths, race and nationalities; and by sharing odes to the Timeless one, courageous examples of history and selfless service to humanity, send out a much needed, inspirational message to listeners.

DharamSevas music projects only form half of the story. The label will also be making passionate efforts to help preserve the divine art of Gurmat Sangeet and the divine language of the Guru Granth Sahib, GurMukhi Boli, which were both once an integral part of the Sikh way of life. The devotional singing of GurBani in the prescribed raag, is an unbroken tradition started by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, founder of the Sikh faith. Bhai Mardana, Guru Nanak Dev Jis beloved Muslim disciple, musician par excellence and an accomplished player of the Rabaab, was instrumental in delivering Guru Nanak Dev Jis message using the universal language of music as the medium. DharamSeva Records is on a mission to preserve some of the oldest compositions using the instruments which were created by the Gurus themselves such as the Taus, Dilruba, Saranda and Rabaab.

    Stay tuned for future releases."

    http://www.dharamsevarecords.com/?page_id=23

sorry but it still doesn't say what 'dharmic' projects means , either past present or future. I really don't think that jazzy b et al would be doing Raag kirtan and it seems so far they haven't produced any of the Raag kirtan preservation albums and there are still many panthic jewels out there doing the sewa .

  16. Sidhu does not exist at all in Malwa? That's ridiculous. Sidhu is probably the most common jatt surname in Malwa.

Yes, Brars are a subgroup of Sidhus. But there are LOTS of Sidhus in Malwa who write "Sidhu" and not "Brar" as their surname.

As a former Sidhu what does that have to do with anything ....GUYS WAKE UP!!!!!! the point is about being true to core Sikh Values not who can identify the region of India/Pakistan this girl came from ...if she was Punjabi she was NO SIKH , if he was getting involved with an unmarried female he was NO SIKH

LOOK AT THE CONDUCT AND LEARN ...BE a TRUE SIKH... SIMPLE, NOTHING MORE , NOTHING LESS

  17. How do you know they make money from dharmic albums/songs? Ive heard previously from jazzy b and sukshinder shinda, who r a duo from day 1, that they do not take money from dharmic albums, also a dharmic record label, called dharmic records, does not make money from releasing religious songs.

Course they take money so do their record labels/producers people do not do this for nothing... besides I have never seen any news article showing them directly donating all their proceeds of such albums/cds to any cause .

  18. Thats the problem with modern women. They just want to be to modern ie go down the night clubs dressed like tarts and get drunk. That is the UK culture.

This does not happen in Australia and most European countries. Unfortunately Many Sikhs have have been influenced by the white majority of the UK and are simply copying their behaviour of clubbing and boozing non stop.

Don't be naive Veer ji this is the attitude in Punjab through to UK to US to AUstralia ... it is the 'greener pastures' syndrome, they don't know what jewels of wisdom and true living they spurn to pick up the paste costume jewellery of a 'modern' life . The Freedom they crave is one without responsibilities to themselves, their families /friends, kaum anyone just 'AAASh Karo ji' and worry about tomorrow when you see it. It is not just Girls but First and Foremost our 'spoilt' menfolk...these girls are only making a case for acting like them just as Ms Harjit did above when she objected to going to functions because she wouldn't get served sharab too as if that is a mark of honour ... I feel sorry for her if living as long as she has she hasn't realised that is all 'koordh' nothingness, rubbish. The only thing a woman should be upset about is whether the SInghs deny her the rights that Guru ji gave her , to do sewa, simran, have amrit, lead the sangat in prayers. Waheguru eh saria 'ladies' nu sumat baksho.

  19. simple enough contact the blogger , but seems to me like he prefolds the larrs into four/five inch wide strip then slowly overlaps starting from lower round moving slowly up a half to three_quarter inch each time and tucks in at top last larr then uses silai to tuck in top edge to make pristine.
