A ‘jealous’ mother and her son have been jailed for a total of 28 years after she attempted to have her boyfriend murdered when their relationship ran into trouble.

43-year-old Balbir Kaur recruited her own son, 21-year-old Manvir Singh, to murder her boyfriend after telling her son that her boyfriend had forced her into having sex against her will.

Kaur told her son to arrange an ambush after inviting her boyfriend, Samson Masih, to her house.

When both men arrived at Kaur’s home in Alfred Gunn House, Thompson Road, Oldbury, Kaur instructed her son to ‘Come and kill him.’

The two men left the flat and walked to another road where Singh had up to four men waiting in a parked car.

The men handed a ferocious beating to Mr Masih with a machete-type weapon, metal bar and knife.

Mr Masih sustained serious injuries including a fracture of the skull and several broken bones including in his back, leg and face and continues to suffer physically and psychologically nine months after the attack.

Kaur was arrested days later and admitted to police she had told her son to kill the victim because he believed he was going to force her to have sex against her will.

It was suggested in court that Kaur wanted him dead after discovering his sole interest was sex, and not marriage.

A jury found Kaur guilty of soliciting murder and convicted Singh of attempted murder.

Judge James Burbidge QC told Kaur: “Your motivation is still not clear but it may be you appreciated you were being strung along and the man was not being honourable. He was using you for his own ends but you then led your son into this offence.”

He turned to Singh and continued: “She knew you would respond with gusto and venom, engaging in that course of conduct without hesitation. You led an attack that was merciless and ferocious but miraculously not fatal.”

Kaur was jailed for 11 years while her son was given an extended 17 year sentence and must serve at least two thirds of that sentence.

Waah kya baat hai, imagine having a mum like this sl@g, wat a beshahram....n then she carries a fagg in her hand too.

The jatts, well theyre the majority in our panth, so u would imagine a good number who hate n good number who support india. Im not pickin on tarkhans btw, as im not from any of the major tribes within sikh panth.

Their parents perhaps, but the homegrown uk tarkhans seem to love india, its friggin annoying. On FB/twitter, all i keep seeing is bansal/jandu/panesar/bacchu/matharu/mudhar etc. Not saying there isnt any sandhu/dhillon/jassal/powar/gill/bangar/saini etc But tarkhans seem to love india, really disappointed. Dont wanna sound casteist, but....WHY are so majority of the sikhs who support india in the cricket here in the UK all ramgharia/tarkhans? Y your gettin sarcastic with me, i have no clue, i just simply answered/corrected the brothers comments above.

Secondly, after bluestar happened, we went to war with the indian state in a civil war (1985-93ish), which was the only option, as the ask for khalistan became our only option. Either that, or we just sit there n carry on getting shittar from panjab police/bsf/raw etc. Pakistan hating and wanting to destabilise india works in their favour and ours. Who else did u want to fund sikhs with weapons then, which had to be snuck in via various methods across states/borders?

No, those weapons used in the battle of amritsar (bluestar) were old crappy ww2 village rifles. Pakistan funded sikhs with weapons AFTER bluestar (1985 onwards).

Well there was no evidence of it, i fink at the time, only 1 paper was runnin wit this news, nobody else did (i maybe wrong with that). They both denied it aswel as their camps. Normally these popstars dont deny anyfink wen it comes to stuff like this i noticed.

Bhai fauji is a legend! This man, not only was he a true khalsa but a fearless warrior to the core. Sumtime during the 70s, a hindu women from his pind was raped by panjab police officer within the station itself. She came running back to her pind n went straight to bhai fauja singhs house. Wen she told him of her ordeal, he grabbed her arm n took her back to the police station. 5)another mass illegal migration (late 90s-present) from panjab to australia/canada/usa/uk/italy etc

sikhi was fastest growimg dharam in panjab before partition hit. With the highest conversions n birthrates, had we got our homeland at partition n not had the subsequent genocides, we wud easily b sitting on 80/90m at present, no question.
