  1. I think that we are more realistic in that sense ask majority of sikhs how they feel there standing is in India and they'd say there totally happy being part of that country. I very recently just left Punjab and asked a relative of mine about the Khalistan issue and what he said to me was basically that the people there are happy and that the militancy of the 80's did more harm than good. nobody there wants a repeat of those terrible events

The reality is that according to Indian Law, for a Sikh in Punjab to openly campaign for freedom, mention freedom or openly shout out the words 'khalistan zindabad' it is a crime that falls under the heading of sedition for which the punishment is at the very least imprisonment or at worst death, as the Constitution cites sedition as one of the crimes that falls under the death penalty. Punjab went through a whole generation where the Indian army and Police rounded up and killed any Sikh that dared utter words of freedom. India is not a civilised country like the UK, Spain or even Canada where Quebecans, Scots and Catalans can openly and freely campaign for freedom. According to international human rights organisations, up to a quarter of a million of our brightest and bravest were murdered by India in that decade. Things like that affect the psyche of the Sikh in Punjab, as well as the fact that Sikh in Punjab is officialy not taught and not even allowed to learn about the things that have been done to his people. So, my Canadian frriend, please don't confuse your docility with reality. Californian Sardar, in his post, was absolutely correct when he described the Canadian Sikhs as the most pathetic of all the diaspora. It should shame you people to awaken from your slumber when, year after year, you see 60-70,000 young British born Sikhs outside the Indian Embassy in London shouting 'khalistan zindabad' in unison. But it doesn't, because your docility stems from lzyness. Too lazy to care.

  2. The School Board there has released a statement saying that it is not bullying (or racist) just minor "name calling" :wow:

Its a public school. For the sake of, and benefit of, all of us in the diaspora with young children, I hope the family sue the school and state and set a precedent. So, whilst I wholly understand and appreciate their desire for privacy and an end to the matter, I do hope they realise that they are on the cusp of making history and their wonderful son has given them an opportunity to do some great seva for all of us. At the same time, I hope they give their son a well deserved slapping for having such a filthy mouth.

  3. A lot of hate within here... like a pissing contest of who's better.. and then we wonder why we can't get anywhere.

Keep insulting each other... good work.

If its not about geographical differences its another... every try encouraging each other instead of pointing fingers? Yes sometimes fingers need to be pointed but more often than not its used in a wrong way.

One could argue that we "don't get anywhere" because it's part of our psyche to be afraid to discuss issues. As a community we are famous for doing 2 things whenever an issue that needs talking about arises. We either brush it under the carpet pretending it doesn't exist, or we say "stop doing nindya....stop creating differences.....stop arguing about things". So, with half our community keen to ignore things and the other half perpetually confusing reasoning with arguing, it is no wonder we make no advancements.

For exmple, one of our Canadian friends in a message here made it clear how the the freeing Punjab from the illegal occupation by a foreign power (India) issue is completely dead in Canada. Isn't that shortcoming of the Canadian psyche worth discussing when one sees how the Khalistan thing is massive among the young UK sangat and growing even stronger year after year ? I mean just look at every single year in June outside the Indian Embassy in London. Every year since 1984 the demonstration and demand for Khalistan is getting bigger and bigger. This alarms the Indian authorities because they can't understand why in the UK, for the last 30 years it is getting bigger whilst In Canada nobody cares. Last year for example, there were between 40,000 and 70,000 UK Sikhs, mostly young British born, there on the streets on that day shouting in unison "Khalistan Zindabad". On that same day (Amritsar massacre day - bluestar) the Canadian version of the rememberance had a total of a couple of dozen old men. The youth there simply don't care to remember. If, however, the 4th of June was declared international bhangra day, it would be the other way around. The Canadian street march would have 60,000 participants and the UK version will be lucky to bring out a crowd of a hundred.

These are real shortcomings of the Canadian Sikh diaspora and these are real differences that need addressing. We will never "get anywhere" if we carry on being afaid to reason.

  4. I don't believe that he did it

He says he does it and he says he does it alot and even says his "Singhs" know he loves doing it. But...he justifies it under the banner of a bit of grappling (wrestling) fun.

They say whats good for the goose is good for the gander. And they also say we should follow the example being set by our great preachers of the day.

I say we all try it with the nearest female breasts and see how far we get.

  5. He definitely not guilty his kirtan and katha are best

There is wrestling. And then there is habitually poking / touching / grappling with men's private parts or, as Harjinder Singh likes to refer to them: willies or sausages.

The thing the two have in common is grappling.

I have learned this week then, that I can habitually poke / grapple with female's breasts and if anyone questions it, I can tell them I'm an amateur wrestler practicing my grappling.

  6. Please send PM. We are not targetting members who just have different set of opinions from others. We want to filter replies which solely target individuals and mostly making mockery of jathbandia.

That very hot thread you locked Admin, was potentially a life saver for our community because the sangat was sharing vital information about taking steps now to prevent a potential Catholic Church style large scale sexual abuse scenario from occurring. You certainly couldn't have locked it because of a 'police investigation' because it became clear in the thread that there is no current 'police investigation'.

If, god forbid, in the future, large scale abuse cases come to light, it is entirely possibe that our 'closed' thread here will be cited as an example of why the problem was allowed to continue. In that regard, you as Admin would be a co-conspirator in the abuse.

The way this forum is moderated mostly seems like the Admin hate the forum because it eats into their precious time and are desperately looking at ways of killing the forum. Their (Admin) strategy gives the impression of consisting of quickly and enthusiasticaly closing all threads that are extremely popular and have many dozens of Sikhs actively participating in. You seem to love it when the forum is ad dead as a ghost town with hardly anyone posting. Whats the strategy behind this ?

  7. None of this surprises me at all.

This thread is notable for the absence of the 2 that spent a fortnight criticisng me about the state of Canadian Sikhs on the other thread. Although one of the 2 did make an appearance on this thread in which he disagreed with me saying that the perpetrators are not 'apne' people.

At this present moment in time, there are more Sikh youth in Canada than than are in the UK. If you want to find and talk to the ones in the UK you'll mostly find them either on Sikhi websites or on other websites talking about Sikhi, or among the 40,000 plus that gather in central London outside the Indian Embassy every June demanding Khalistan. If you want to find and communicate with the ones in Canada, you'll find them on the Bhangra dance and music forums. On the bhangra forums they outnumber UK Sikhs 10 to one. You certainly won't find any of them on the Canadian version of the UK's anti Indian human rights abuses demonstrations because the counterpart demonstration outside the Indian Consulate in Toronto attracts only a 100 old men.

Except Canada, can any of you even imagine apne moneh taking pride in beating up and assaulting the dastar of a Singh in the UK, Italy, Australian or New Zealand diaspora ? It is unthinkable.

  8. Half of our Kesdhari/Amritdhari Singhs are so fat that their bellies hang and wobble over their kamarkasas, and the other half are so skinny that their little legs look like sugarcanes underneath their cholas.

I very strongly disagree with your statement. You are totally wrong to suggest half are that and the other half the other !! :angry2:

It can't possibly be more than a quarter each because we've learned, over the last week, that the other half are busy either hugging each other, kissing each on the lips or fondling each other's privates.

  9. Since he has moved back to the UK, he needs reasons to justify to himself that he has made the right decision and if that means putting down Sikhs in Surrey then he will do it.

Ah yes, and I suppose that explains why I've spent most of this thread telling everyone how the town I live in and was born in (Southall) is a ghetto because apart from we Sikhs, who feel comfortable here, no other people with any standards or ambition would ever want to live here.

Just wandering Ranjeet, how does describing oneself as a ghetto dweller...ie putting one's own town down, correspond with having an agenda against another country ? :stupidme:

  10. That's your forte as you have done your utmost to distort the image of Sikhs in Canada in general and Surrey in particular

and have shown your true colours to all.

The image of 'Surrey' in Canada is already at rock bottom. There is nothing I nor anybody else could say to make it worse neither is there any lower that reputation could get. If I have 'shown my colours' by pointing out a widely held fact in Canadian society than these colours are indeed strange fruit.

If you choose not to belive it from me, a Canadian residence holder ( a former Surrey resident) who still visits at least every other year, then simply search Canadian discussion forums among Canadians and read for yourself.

The strangest thing I've noticed on this thread is that people sitting in other countries don't even realise who they're agreeing with, perhaps because they don't understand the political context.

Imagine, for one moment, there was in Canada or New Zealand a truly vicious right wing racist political party that detested all immigrants and was very violent and vocal in its hatred. That, is the type of political party that sheikhyerbooty and hammertime are supporting here and it was there arguments about towns and cities in the UK that they were using. I countered them. I will always counter them. I will never stop countering their facism.

People like you Jsinghnz, sitting on the other side of the world, need to sometime read through things properly before deciding who's side of the bed you'd like to lay on. You're getting into bed with the wrong sort of people.

  11. Can you try not to be rude to others for a change?

Ah yes :nono: The 'power of suggestion' again. Leave out the "It remains to be seen if BLANK BLANK BLANK BLANK BLANK BLANK that he will not bother to check what points they relate to. Personally, I have a lot of faith in him. I know for a fact he is fair minded and certainly not an extreme right wing facist party supporter" and just use the 'blank' in isolation. Distortion is a wonderful thing isn't it ?

  12. Every single thing in 'blue' above, sheikhyerbooty, was a direct and to the point retort to things you and your facist party friend here made about certain locations in the UK. Your motives for those points were of course deeply held bigoted views of all immigrants and muslims, but to take those retorts in isolation is silly. It remains to be seen if LuckySingh is so silly that he will not bother to check what points they relate to. Personally, I have a lot of faith in him. I know for a fact he is fair minded and certainly not an extreme right wing facist party supporter like yourself. The ball's in his court. Let him read the whole thread and see whats what.

  13. Jagsaws agenda is to cover up tundeh grooming by talking bout gangsters in canada

You do realise, don't you, that it is you and your facist Party friend who have been 'talking about gangsters' whilst I've just spent my last 3 or 4 messages asking why you're talking about 'gangsters and their crime' when I'm talking about a ghetto being defined as a place where, apart from that one community, no other well to do'ers, hipsters etc would ever want to live in even it was the last place on earth ?

You do realise that don't you ?

But......and this is a good example of the power of suggestion.....once you keep stating something long enough others start to believe it as fact. Just look at the message above this one. Luckysingh has not read a single one of my posts so has no inkling of the reasoning I gave previously. Yours and sheikhyerbooty's posts have, through the power of suggestion, implanted ideas about what I said into luckysingh's mind. This is the exact same power of suggestion you and your facist ilk in UKIP and EDL use to demonise immigrants and especially muslims in the UK. None of which, however, change what I have said before and bear in mind this whole discussion took this course as a counter to your absurd examples of what you called 'ghettos' in London. A ghetto is not defined in poverty or crime. I live in a ghetto (Southall) because although Sikhs desire to live here, no other people of standard would ever want to. It is the exact same story with Surrey, and if you knew what Surrey's reputation is among Canadians as a whole (a city for trailer park trash) you would understand this.

  14. I like all people (and I'll even start liking Indians once they stop occupying my country illegaly) and I feel blessed to be able to share my country, streets and communities with creeds and cultures from around the world.

I look for the good in all people and I usually find it.

I will say this though, I have tried long and hard but have not been able to find anything positive t say about 2 sets of people : Roma Gypsies and Albanians / Bosnians. We can take it as a given that Bosnians and Albanians are essentially the same group of people seperated by national borders and I've met some truly warm hearted beautiful Irish traveller versions of Gypsies so I'm not talking about them. I've increasingly come to the conclusion that Roma Gypsies and Albanians have absolutely no good aspects to their character. They are essentially 100% scum.

I love everyone else and would love for us to have open borders so that everyone can come and enjoy the same life I've had here.

  15. This amount of people in India, that have died recently of 'swine flu'.....Is this not the same number of people that die in India every week anyway from high temperature / flu like symptoms anyway ?

Do you remember a couple of years ago when swine flu panic was sweeping through Britain and as a result our NHS Managers wasted a few billions of our money of that tamiflu drug that has since been found to be not half as effective as claimed and the drug companies made a financial killing ?

I'm no doctor but I have to say this swine flu is a very very clever disease indeed. Clever in the sense that its rare to find an illness with an economics degree. It is so clever in the way it penetrates one country, causes panic, causes the drug companies to make billions and once the money has been spent it amazingly removes itself from that host country and places itself in a different country instead. There, the process is repeated: widespread panic, billions spent on the drug and once the money's finished it goes on to the next country where the process is repeated all over again, and so on and so on.

  16. Just out of curiosity, are there any other issues that will sway your vote or is it just immigration, it's a general question to everyone really, also, in real life terms how is your life impacted on a day to day basis by all these "Romanians" and "Bulgarians", not looking for some huge debate or anything, it would just be interesting to see if people actually care about anything else apart from all these "foreigners" coming into the UK.

Very good point. I do wish people would realise that these immigrants are a reason their grocery shopping, in real terms, costs a tiny fraction of what it did in the 1970's and 1980's. These immigrants, pound for pound, pay far more into our economy than they take out. These immigrants have been a life saver for our home services industries. These immigrants have been an inspiration to us all in the way these Polish women, for example, with degrees and masters in Art and Philosophy, are willing to work so hard as cleaners and factory labourers. These immigrants have given our children the wonderful opportunity to mix with, study with, socialise with so many diverse cultures and nationalities.

They are us and we are them.

  17. Sheikhyerbooty, are you arguing with yourself again ?

I seriously think you're going mad. You're talking about gangsters, not me. You're talking about drugs, not me. You're talking about crime, not me. And yet in post after post you're countering imaginary points that you yourself are bring up :omg: This is so silly one couldn't possibly make it up.

My points are simple and twofold. My first point, which you seem to revel in ignoring, is that I myself live in a ghetto because I live in Southall and, other than our own people, no other person of substance such as high flyers, artists, hipsters etc would ever want to live in.

The exact same with Surrey. It is not my fault that you don't know what the rest of Canada thinks of Surrey...i.e what it's stereotype is.

But it doesn't matter does it ? Because you seem to be on some mad schizophrenic argument with yourself about gangsters, drugs and crime :giggle:

  18. How do u explain then Jagsaw only 20% of the people living in Surrey happen to be Sikh if its such a bad ghetto?

There are about half a million people overall living in Surrey BC and about 100,000 are Sikhs.

Half the people living in Surrey are white dude if only u had ever been to Surrey + they do most of the crime/drugs at street level alongside some Vietnamese + Muslims mainly around Newton. Sure some Jatts drop other Jatts to control supply now + then but the actual Sikh community is happy with dealers getting dropped as they are not Sikh.

Sure a few spoilt rich Jatt kids have dreams of being wannabe gangsters after watching the Soprano's but Surrey is middle class suburbia as the Jatt criminals are not Sikhs as the only identity the dealers care about is being Jatt.

Why talk to me about apne and drugs when it is you and some others that keep mentioning it ? Shouldn't you perhaps be having that conversation with yourself rather than me ?

You're obviously incapable of reading as well as being stupid and pathetic enough to regularly post real estate listings on this thread :) but you clearly don't seem capable enough of understanding what kind of people live n Surrey (apart from we Sikhs) and what Surrey's reputation is in Canada (i.e a city full of trailer park trash). I've noticed you post long messages generally and 98% of the messages themselves are filled with you tube links, cut and paste or inexpicably enough, real estate listings. Once once gets through all your cut and paste one finds a couple of sentences written by yourself and these sentences are always so ludicrous one laments how one has wasted 5 minutes trawling through your cut and paste.

I fear all this right wing facist / racist stuff of yours has played havoc with your thinking process sheikhyerbooty.

  19. For all this talk of playing into Hindu and Indian hands, you don't appear to have considered the possibility that you are playing into the white man's hands.

If IBM decide to offer you the position of Chief of Operations with a salary of £130,000 because they've had recent criticism of not employing enough ethnic minorities are you going to turn around and say "No. I won't take it. I won't because I can see quite clearly you're only offering it to me for your own self interests" ?

No. You're not gonna say that are you. You're going to look after number 1. To hell with their motives, the important thing is whether or not it is beneficial to yourself.

  20. Wise up, as such a regiment would not be allowed (just as you wouldn't have a Muslim regiment etc).

They wouldn't have a 'Muslim Regiment' because a 'Muslim Regiment' has never existed and so is not part of the British military make up.

They wouldn't have a 'Hindu Regiment' because a 'Hindu Regiment' has never existed and so is not part of the British military make up.

They wouldn't have a 'Jewish Regiment' because a 'Jewish Regiment' has never existed and so is not part of the British military make up.

A Sikh Regiment however, like the Gurkha Regiment, is an integral part of the British military history and is something that gets people like judges, politicians and historians extremely excited. As I said before, the last time it was going to happen the Indian High Commission kicked up a fuss to get it scrapped because they could see how it strengthen the Sikhs cause for seperation and difference from India / Hindus. This time around however, judging by yours and others comments, India doesn't even need to get involved. We as a community seem determined to do their dirty work for them. We are now so stupid as community we're prepared to do our enemies work against us for them, on their behalf.
