  1. ya the bc sikhs r the most hardcore n dnt take crap from no1. but the gta toronto punjabis r a joke most of the ones i seen r black wannabes n try talkin like there jamaican n get laughed at whenever one comes here most r scared of kaleh aswell...

Your priorities are wrong ghettosikh and I suspect, and hope, that will change over time as you get older and more mature.

There is nothing 'jokey' about the community in GTA because they are not drug dealers, ruining their community's name and reputation.

There is nothing 'jokey' about them because they don't keep murdering their fellow brothers.

There is nothing 'jokey' about them because they don't keep 'dying in their sleep' (heroin overdose)

All things considered, the Sikhs of the Toronto area deserve respect for not going down the immoral route of the BC ones.

Surrey especially, all of my relatives who have morals and want their children to have morals, are moving out. (to South Surrey and White Rock if they have the money, the Chinese areas of Richmond or Burnaby if they don't, or Alberta). The whites already see it as trailer park central and its now the case that only brand new or morally bancrupt Sikhs want to continue living there.

Let me tell you, 90% of my family in Canada live in BC so I have no motive for bigging up Toronto. Its just that from my experience the Sikhs in Toronto are in a far better moral state than those in BC.

  2. Amritsar for Sikhs and Ambarsar for crude, backward Punjabis.

No. Apart for the city folk, who have been heavily influenced by Hindi, normal native Punjabi speakers pronounce it as Ambarsar.

If you listen to Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale's speeches he too used to pronunce it as Ambarsar. Are you suggesting he too was not a Sikh ?

Its like how in ealing u have northolt and southall, which used 2 b called southolt, but changed somehow. Infact now its called sowwwthhaaaall. I heard its got sumink 2 do with those panjabis lol

Its really funny you should say that because its actually true for the town just 2 miles south of Southall : Hounslow. When I was a kid I used to criticise my elders for pronouncing it 'Hunslaw'.

It was only as I got older that I learned that it was we, the British born, who were wrong, because over time we corrupted the original saxon name for the town which was 'Hundslawe' and started pronouncing it Hounslow, which I suppose is somewhat grammaticay correct because over time the English word Hund has transformed into Hound etc. But still, I say give 100% respect to the Punjabi elders who (unknowingly) started pronouncing the word exactly as it was mentioned in the Doomesday Book of the year 1086.

The lesson here is never, ever underestimate the knowledge of a Punjabi farmer. :cool2:

  3. To all native Ambarsaris it is second nature but to outsiders they usually pronounce it as Amritsar.

No. I already told you above. All native Punjabi speakers...all over the globe prounounce Amritsar as Ambarsar.

Na i think its jus pure lazyness n b@stardization of our language tbh. U kno like how we say sabJi instead of sabZi etc.

Its not lazyness. The fact is that the letter 'Z' does not exist in everyday native Punjabi speech.

    amrit mean without death

Well not literaly. You first have to break down the word. In old Sanscrit the word 'mrit' means death. Like in the English language we put the letters 'un' in front of the word to make the opposite Sanskrit has a literary rule that makes the opposite when you place the letter 'a' in front of a word. So, by definition, amrit means non-death. The lesson here is that we are going through life already dead but it is amrit that will give us life.

  4. Yea birmingham, derby, bradford/w.yorkshire and manchester r all mirpuri central, altho, ive always found mirpuris in bradford quite nice towards sikhs, my cousins live there n say they r ok too. But the birmingham 1s r absolute scum, every1 hates them, every1!

Yeah Mirpuris are quite rare down south. Really, they just have one stronghold (down south) and that is the Walthamstow area of East London. Other than that, the Pakistanis are mostly pure Punjabi, and most of them have their origins in places like Jalandhar and Ludhiana. Nice people. Very much like us, except the religion, and they have the same work ethic too with their womenfolk working extremely hard too.

It's very much pure Punjabi Pakistanis that one encounters and Canada and California too living among the Sikh communties there. I know we all largely think of the greater Toronto areas of Brampton and Mississauga as Sikh strongholds but from my experience Mississauga has a Pakistani population just as big, if not bigger, than Birmingham or Bradford, but, because they are Punjabi and not Mirpuri, none of the endemic problems of Bradford and Birmingham.

Hardly any of their women work even ones who are born here in UK.

Yes, but as we learned this past week or so here on this very forum, there is also one or two rare Sikh groups that share this lack of work ethic with the Mirpuris....as well as the gender inequality.

  5. As a Sikh, its nice to see Hindus and Muslims finally rising up against this evil dowry custom of theirs. And its also nice to see them waking up to reality and making games more representative of that reality.

I'd like Indian game designers to make another very realistic game too. They can call it 'Massacre the Minority' and the game will resemble the very common occurrence in India whereby Hindus go on a murderous rape and killing spree against minorities such as Sikhs, Christians and Muslims. For ideas they might want to look into the events during the massacre and rape of a thousand Christian nuns in Orissa in 2009, Muslims in Gujarat and Sikhs in Delhi. As Indians enjoy this pastime very much indeed it will be so nice for their children to be able to practice whilst having fun at the same time.

  6. Following on from my last message (above) I have a benti for my American brothers and sisters :

Here in the UK we have similar freedom of information laws as yourselves. But, given our national and natural differences as one being isolationists and the other being citizens of the world we know that, unlike us, your laws and rights do not extend to all Waheguru's creations. Therefrore, I, as a UK citizen, cannot request or receive information about American companies and equality. So, my benti to my American brothers and sisters is this :

    • I have 'freshie' relatives in America who say they have not been able to get a job with Akal Security
    • Akal Security have been given given widespread multi-million dollar contracts (among other multi-billion dollar contracts) to conduct airport security screening.
    • Sikhs, to this day suffer indignation by security staff at US airports.
    • The company that has the contract of doing this 'security' at US airports is a company formed by 3ho Sikhs and run by 3ho sikhs who, presumably, got the contract by stressing their multi-cultural credentials.

So seriously now, if this was a UK company YOU sitting in Texas, Ontario or Tokyo would have the right to know how many Sikhs this 'Sikh' company employs. But, as we know America is different, please find out, using American freedom of information laws, how this company being paid by the American taxpayer, is, or is not, true to it's 'Sikh' credetials :wow:

I say this because I'm sick of certain things.

I'm sick and tired of turning on the Sikh Channel or Sangat TV and hearing about abuse and indignity suffered by my brothers and sisters at US airports. We're all sick of it. But how many of us know that a security company run by kirpan wearing white 3ho sikhs have the multi-billion dollar contract of running this operation ?????????????????????

  7. Also since we r on the subject of disrespecting women, whats with bhatra women doin pardah/pulling their chunni fiercely infront of their faces, infront of ppl, which i saw in abundance at my mates wedding?

    shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's some things better left unsaid. Apparently, we are a community that cannot ever dare mention how, in certain (one) communities, the women cover their faces in front of SGGS ji in the gurdwara and observe the pardah.

sshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!! DON'T MENTION IT !! We're not mature enough to discuss it man.

  8. the bhaiyeh have been flooded in panjab by the central govt to ruin the demographics for sikhs

StarStriker, you know I'm in full agreement with you on most things and you know I consider India an alien nation illegally occupying Punjab and so have no love for them.....but the fact of the matter is this:

I've done kethi in Punjab. We need the biharis so bad that it is no longer enough to wait for gangs of their workers to come to our farm looking for work at harvest time. The fact is there isn't enough biharis. Farm owners all over Punjab just can't get the number of biharis they need (especially at harvest time) so they have to drive out to get them. A few years ago (many years ago now) I used to tell everybody how we had to drive almost to the borders of Haryana and tempt them off the trains to come and work for us (at harvest time) just so we could get to them before the other farmers waiting for them in Bhatinda, Jalanadhar and Ludhiana etc). But that was then and this is now. Now, in order to beat the others and get your hands on them, you have to drive deep into UP itself and transport them to the farm itself.

Ain't no central govt in Delhi making us do that through some evil plan. Them Indians lack the mental capacity for any sort of clever plans. The need for labour makes us (and the industrialists in the city) do it.

  9. Yea paji, 100% r a problem

Yeah but we need them on the farm and the city walleh need them in the industries.

What we're saying about them on this thread is the same thing Daily Mail readers are saying about us here in the UK.

Just like us, overall, when push comes to shove, they do more good than bad....to the nation. And we can include Sikhi in that because in the villages and small towns, the new amritdharis are mostly bhayas.

  10. if you wanna call what I have to say as "sanctimonious crap" that's your choice.

Its nothing to do with 'choice'. "Like they say to an addict, you first have to admit there's a problem, then you will be able to resolve it." is sanctimonious crap no matter which way you look at it.

But do you say that to your Giani at your local gurdwara too?

Are you a gyani ? Or do you just think you're a gyani ?

If neither, how does a gyani even come into this conversation ?

On second thoughts, leave it Sikhiseeker. We found some common ground before and agreed the thread needs to close. Lets end it on that positive.

  11. Veer, please read your own posts, ask yourself the question and all will be answered.

You answer it. You can't make accusations than run and hide behind sanctimonious crap.

If you read back at my posts (on any thread) you will see that the only time I mentioned anything that might even be construed to fall within the definition of 'supremacy' is when I mentioned (in the 'caste' and 'marriage' thread) how jatts are, and always have been, inferior to Khatris. If you think that is the same as saying jatts are superior than you either need to do 3 things:

    • apologise
    • purchase a dictionary
    • retract your statements

Either way, you generally need to stop hiding behind sanctimonious crap. You're not a pious sant. We know one when we see one. And it ain't you fella.

  12. Akaal Security has fast become one of Americas biggest security companies.

Akaal security has also recently been given US State Dept and White House contracts..

Let Akaal Security do 2 things with all that money:

    1. Fund their fellow 3ho friends at Sikhnet so I won't have to.
    2. Employ their fellow Sikhs in some of their many national contracts.
  13. You will then see that I am anti-caste, that means all castes not just jatts.

    But especially jatts.

'm sure we can both agree, that the thread needs to be closed, right?

We most certainly are in agreement with that. We also both need to ensure no such thread is ever allowed to open again. If it does, I will wait patiently for you to come and gently knock it down. If you don't appear, rest assured I will do what I did on this one and massacre the claims made on it.

  14. Also, you came into a caste thread with your own castist opinion (as you stated, your a jatt sikh, lol) to say to the poster, take your caste to your caste based website whilst stating yourself this is a sikh website and at the same time promoting your own caste associating it with the nirmal panth sikhi and the casteless Khalsa? Brother, define contradiction for please?

    :blink2: Full stops ? Commas ? Paragraphs ?

These are just some of the tools at your disposal in the construction of a coherent sentence bruvs. Try them, and your points will make more sense.

So, remind me, when have I ever "promoted my caste" ???

Could it perhaps be that your ignorance of all thing 'Punjab' means you confuse regions (doaba, malwa etc) with caste ?

Could it perhaps be that you confuse talk of the dialects of Punjabi with caste ?

  15. Brother, unlike you and your open jattism, you assume I am of Bhatra ancestry? Why? Because I know history of the bhagats of gurbani? Lol

I'm not assuming anything. I'm asking why you are a hypocrite and don't rush into the plethora of bhatra related threads on this forum, started by bhatras, and strike them down.

Me ? I see a castist related thread started by a castist related person and I rush in to put the boot in. What I'm doing is ensuring that those castist thread starters know full well that they will not receive an easy ride here on this Sikh website. They can take their bhatra nonsense to the bhatra forums where they belong.

You ? You see bhatra thread after bhatra thread and it doesn't bother you at all. The minute the bhatra lies are exposed you pretend to be some pious saint.

  16. MODERATORS, even the person who opened the topic is saying close it down lol!

HE'S saying close it down quickly because many of the disgusting rituals and traditions of the Bhatras are being openly exposed. He needs it closed quickly.

YOU'RE saying close it down quickly because many of the disgusting rituals and traditions of the Bhatras are being openly exposed. You need it closed quickly.

We're not silly here sikhiseeker. You regularly appear on bhatra related threads and big up the bhatras. There is a reason why you don't blame the castist bhatra who keeps on starting castist bhatra threads for anything. There is a reason why you're desparate to shut up someone else.

So I'm just wandering sikhiseeker, where does your anger against 'caste' suddenly dissapear to each time a bhatra starts numerous threads on here bigging up bhatras and making all sorts of nonsensical claims about their origins and attributes ? How come you love them but the minute those lies are exposed you become, all of a sudden, deeply against 'caste' ?

Tell me, my friend, when have I ever started a thread about my background ?

  17. no im not saying i noticed that i sound like him

Unwittingly, unknowingly, that is what you were agreeing with because that was what he was asking if 'you had noticed'.

im pretty sure malwai Punjabis have overtaken doabis in population due to high levels of immigration from that part of punjab.

Much of my extended family and the whole of my wife's immediate family live in the Vancouver / Surrey area so it's a vicinity I know very well. True there's more than enough Malwais there but the doaba walleh are still easily the majority there. Easily. Malwais have well over 100 years of immigration to catch up on.

  18. Would you prefer I did not highlight these matters?

No We;d like it if you would, but you're missing out all the negative stuff and making things up.

As for your question gurdssingh I have never heard about what JigsawSingh said. Thats something new to me. we dont have any unique customs or traditions as it is against Sikhism to believe in any kind of rituals

All the other Sikh groups know you and dismiss you because of these disgusting rituals you have. Your own Bhatra websites talk about these rituals and say they are a 'common problem aming UK bhatras which must be eliminated' and yet you are telling us no such rituals exist. :wow:

If you genuinely don't know ask your mum and dad, and then come back and tell us about the following bhatra sikh rituals :

    1. KHUL KARAN DI RASAM
    2. MOURVI MAKAAN

There is a reason why your'e not willing to share them with us Roudh. Your silence speaks volumes and it's not doing you any good.
