  1. Sorry, let me be absolutely clear. I meant kirpan shud be with is at all times because a time might come when u need it. Even in the shower. Ppl can break down doors. Then ur cornered ,can't go running for it. It'll be too late. That's what the saying was about.

LOL....in such scenarios you need to wear body amour because you never know when a robber will carry a gun. So start showering with body amour on. LOL Your kirpan will not be able to defend against a 9mm pistol in the shower. I can't even believe you are going to such ridiculous lengths to justify something that can't be justified. If you are such a hot target keep the kirpan close by in the bathroom and pull some matrix moves of stopping bullets with a thin blade.

Btw, do you wear the 3 foot kirpan given to us by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji in the shower and everywhere else you go? You want to stay "true" to the original concept of kirpan then where the 3 foot long kirpan. Not the 9 inch or 3 inch kirpan.

  2. Seriously?

There is a saying that if u start digging a well when dying of thirst ,its too late. If u start weapon training on the day of battle its too late. Weapons can be used preventively.

There is a saying, we are talking about keeping a kirpan on when in the shower not about training how to use the kirpan. Stop adding ideas in to this conversation that have nothing to do with this discussion.

  3. They are misusing their platforms for sure and fooling and feeding their propaganda (just like soviet & nazis did) to naive sikh folks who aren't much aware of sikhi. Sure deravaad is a problem in punjab but creating their popularity on such issue be creating a hype and inject slow poison in ppl mind to go gurbani. These fukkaray khotay are worst kind.

They are no different than the dera babas exploiting people off of their physical and mental sicknesses.

  4. Recently there was a robbery in CA and the girl was alone. She grabbed a kitchen knife and locked herself in the bathroom and called 911. I hope u see the relevancy of kirpan in bathrooms. U can be attacked any time even now. Kanga is needed go keep rehit of combing hair twice a day. What if stuck in airport delays?

We have people on here telling others they need to keep their kirpan on them even when showering. This was required when Singhs were bathing in rivers, farms and other places where they are easy targets. Today, times are different unless you live in a third world country and there are similar issues as Singhs faced in the past. Guru Sahib said to keep the kirpan on you 24/7 for security. Also, I would say the Guru did not give the kirpan to be worn when you choose too. Kirpan is to be worn all the time except for certain circumstances like i said before. If you still wear it good for you, but don't sent others to death because they did not wear it showering. This mentality is a curse on Sikhi.

I did not say to not keep a kanga on you all the time. I was speaking of why we keep it on us. Again it comes to the reason why and not some fast rule you need to follow and if not, you will go to hell.

So are you saying a Kirpan should be put in a bathroom because it is one of the safest place in the house for a child or adult to run into if a home evasion happens with a knife? She got the knife from the kitchen and ran to the bathroom to see it as the most secure room in the house to hide in. Plus the knife did nothing to save her. It was the locked bathroom door. The knife was for extra measures if the robber broke into the bathroom. The knife was in the kitchen not the bathroom.

  5. So while it is true that our current Sikh marriage ceremony is carrying on with Hindu vedic practices am I also right in thinking that our current ceremony is actually something that was started and popularised by the enemy Nirankari movement and subsequently adopted by the Singh Sabha movement ?

I already gave you an answer on this topic. Did you miss it on the second page of this thread? What part of the SIkh marriage ceremony is taken from the Hindu vedic practices? This is total rubbish.

  6. Not agreeing with them, as they've clearly got it wrong (and clearly much of the disaproval here should be directed at that Gurdwara in Atlanta that sanctioned it rather than the 2 individuals that didn't know better) but I do see the point they wanted to make, albeit in the wrong way. I don't see how the Hindu marriage custom of the male leading the female around is compatible with Sikhi, just as I don't see how the Hindu custom of the male being the protector of the female is compatible with Sikhi (Rakhri). Perhaps the bride should lead the male around ?

brother do some research before you agree with thugs. Gurbani tells us the woman makes a request to the man to take her in marriage. Making it the woman walks behind the man. i believe the pankti is on ang 936. this pankti is read at Anand karaj but of course our people don't understand Gurbani, so we have people like this couple making a mockery of Gurbani.

  7. Does anyone know this couple to give them an explanation. Once an explanation is given they both will know how stupid and silly they were to do it. The groom says he had his boyz lined up to manhandle anyone that spoke up against his "revolutionary" ways. Now that sounds more like a threat. How more immature can this guy be.

The family was also told that if anyone tried to interject in the wedding, they were supposed to take care of the interruption. “My boys knew what to do,” said Shawn.

Only thugs talk in this manner and there is no room for this kind of behavior in Sikhi. Does he really think Singhs will buy into this thuggish behavior? If I was his boy, I would have made sure he was humiliated and then told him why he was wrong. If this couple was about fighting traditions they should have fought a tradition which is not according to Sikhi. Obviously this thug is not bright enough to figure out the bride wearing red is a Hindu tradition and not a Sikh tradition as in Sikhi the bride can wear any color. Ignorance is bliss

Yeaaa buddy you really showed the Sikhs!!!!!!!!!!!! :stupidme: :stupidme: :stupidme: :stupidme:

  8. Why would i explain that? What need do i have to explain that?... it has no relevance whatsoever to my post.

You and I are getting nowhere... brick wall come to mind?

Jati means to stay celibate (not have sex or physical relations with a woman). So you need to explain if a man can have sex with a woman and in what context.

You precisely said the tuk explains how a man is to relate to other women. So in order to explain how a man relates to another women you need to explain the above.

  9. Guru Maharaj is specifically talking about the male female relation. How a man relates to other women. There is no mention of any other.

Then explain how a man is to relate to other woman and the one woman who the man is jati with as the tuk is saying according to you?

  10. Wow lol i simply stated that i dont understand how its relevant= therefore please elaborate. Jeez.

where have i said or insinuated that Guru Maharaj allows physical relations between anyone outside of marriage?

I said OR ARE YOU INSISTING by saying I do not see the relevance..........., let's not make this an english lesson. Let's start from square one, you said:

No where does it say that homosexuality is forbidden in Sikhi. Fact. If homosexuality is forbidden, surely our Guru maharaaj would have made a point about this?

I quoted what Guru Sahib said:

    ਏਕਾ ਨਾਰੀ ਜਤੀ ਹੋਇ ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਧੀ ਭੈਣ ਵਖਾਣੈ।

With one woman a man becomes celibate and considers other women as daughters and sisters.

The above line applies to homosexuality because Guru Sahib is telling us what is approved when it comes to marriage between which genders (only between one man and one woman) and what behavior (celibacy) is approved by the Guru. I am going to separate everything into points and let me know which points you do not agree with of being Sikhi teachings.

    1. Intimate physical relations outside of marriage are not allowed in Sikhi between same and different genders.

    2. homosexuality is based on men or women having sexual feelings and acting on them for the same gender.

    3. same gender marriage or relations are not allowed in Sikhi and therefore intimate physical relations are not approved in Sikhi between same genders.

    4. Since intimate physical relations cannot take place between same genders in Sikhi, homosexuality behavior is wrong.

    5. Heterosexuality behavior outside of marriage is wrong in Sikhi

    6. To be a celibate in Sikhi. The Guru says to marry one woman and consider all other women as daughters and sisters.

  11. No where does it say that homosexuality is forbidden in Sikhi. Fact. If homosexuality is forbidden, surely our Guru maharaaj would have made a point about this?

    ਏਕਾ ਨਾਰੀ ਜਤੀ ਹੋਇ ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਧੀ ਭੈਣ ਵਖਾਣੈ।

With one woman a man becomes celibate and considers other women as daughters and sisters.

  12. This tuk spoke of in the video is not kept in context of the whole pauri as being explained in the video.

The names and the colors of the assorted species of beings were all inscribed by the Ever-flowing Pen of God. ang 3

Guru Sahib is speaking of how some people say they can write down everything or say everything God has created, but Guru Sahib says this in the following lines.

Who knows how to write this account? Just imagine what a huge scroll it would take! ang 3

I wish the Singh in the video would not randomly pick tuks of Gurbani and wrap his views around them. Gurbani says many times God controls everything and causes everything. The sakhi in the video is misunderstood by the Singh in the video.

  13. Genetics are altered after your own conciousness , so what ever the case is it's not natural and is alterable . just because some idiots do not follow doesn't mean guru sahib didn't said so. There is Hukamnama Agaisnt this by patshahi 10vi and that closes this conversation .

The scientist changed the female mice genetics to show the Catholic Church and those who follow the Church to the letter like yourself, how genetics in humans do play a factor in what sexual orientation a person will be. Nothing to do with consciousness, but ONLY genetics. Many punjabi kids grow up in the macho punjabi culture and still turn out to be homosexuals. What experiences and environment influenced them to be homosexuals when they were fed all day of how to be an abusive husband and do with the wife as you wish and cheat on her with multiple women out of the village? Your theory is good as a jehovah witness telling others his God is better than another religions God.

No one is going against the Hukamnama other than some of the students at DamDami Taksal run by the new Jathedar, who rape children at the school. Sukhmani Sahib says to not follow natural instinct and follow the Gurus path. You are trying to make me into Lucifer when I am not.

  14. sexual orientation has nothing to do with sikhi.

So please don't bring the subject into sikhi and try to mix it.

    Homosexuals have children ??

    (please read what i said!)

Your first post shows nothing other than denial of what Sikhi speaks of. The Gurus have given the Sikhs life lessons on everything and I asked you how are Sikhs suppose to have children when the Guru did not even tell them what is the proper conduct on sexual orientation according to your assessment of Sikhi? Now do you understand?

  15. mind develops and homosexuality is part of your own experiences and choices which accumulate and shape a persons personality

so to answer , no it is not natural .

people really amuse me when they go against a hukamnama and use their own manmatt.

Scientist have taken female mice and have changed their genetics to make them into lesbians. Genetics do play a part in deciding what sexual orientation a person will take up. You sound like the Christians who try to change homosexuals into heterosexuals by showing them explicit films of heterosexual behavior and if they don't change, the homosexuals are condemned to hell. I will let you in on a secret. In the current day and age in DamDami Taksal there has been rape going on of younger students by some of the older students (men). Go fix the new jathedar of DamDami Taksal men first.

No one is going against any Hukamnama Jehovah witness. I am discussing how genetics do play a role in deciding sexual orientation.

  16. What happens if the person was naturally defected inbody and did not had the choice to pic? They correct or seek a cure

There is no cure for being a homosexual in the same way there is no cure for heterosexuality. Its nature like gravity and the earth spinning around the sun.
