  1. No, actually I have said that I by no means agree with her actions. But to sit here and listen 2 u taking the piss out of someones looks and feminity would be wrong of me so I spoke up. Saying the following: "a very large percentage of Punjabi Hindu women seem to have their hair cut and styled short like a ugly British schoolboys from the 1950's. I am therefore, finding it difficult to see how these women are expressing their femininity by making themselves look like ugly old fashioned british boys ?" Is wrong. I had a cousin who is a Beautiful Soul who had a haircut like that and a very beautiful friend and other friends with a haircut like that. One got taunted by a few boys and on being asked once if she was a boy, she responded that she was definitely a woman. It was very upsetting to hear. Women are free to have haircuts how they choose, i know sikh women with a very similar haircut who would not appreciate your comments and would shut a man up in a second (and probably put him in the verge of tears) who made comments like this. I understand ur upset with the woman in question, but this may be a sore spot for women even on this forum who may have been dissed about their looks so I would suggest that u pipe down with the appearance insults and Stick to focusing on the misdeeds of this woman, not on womens exterior appeareances. Its not feminism, it's about common courtesey, just as a man would not appreciate a woman saying that a man looks like an Ugly British Schoolgirl.
  2. Woops, well that last post was directed at you. Yes lets not waste anymore time in the subject. Yes I'm Sikh, although Sikhism is just being a student of the Truth and Truth isn't confined to anything- hence no hindu no muslim- only One. Apologies I still havent read up on this woman properly, but I will say that I dont trust the Indian Govt in general, with many of the perpetrators of 1984 still alive and kicking. Furthermore I Strongly believe that world governments are the puppets of the Illuminati.

    Being A Rich Sikh

Hi Being rich isn't a sin It really is all about detachment, not allowing the darkness of attachment to soil/darken your soul. My extended family has been said to be very wealthy-but it is apparent that they've been corrupted by it. They have so much ego, do so much nindya of others and put others down. Pretty much their whole family is like this- it's a collective egotistical psychology- they say mental illness spreads, and it can. Give your thanks for your wealth but stay detached from it. Bhudda said in the midst of abundance, remain detached. Maybe you'll be called on one day to provide something for a higher purpose- maybe learn the art of warfare- our Gurus taught us to Always be prepared. Give a portion to the helpless- those in africa etc who are starving and may lack job prospects to help themselves-this is a great seva. I'm sure u worked hard for your blessing of wealth, so well done. Just keep your head down, don't brag take the advice above and im sure you'll do well with this. God bless you.
  4. Hope he is okay now. I saw a man at a station in West London over the weekend who was making racist comments loudly. I've seen a couple of videos on you tube where people have been racist while on the tube. It's so sad that this is still an issue these days- and many may harbour these feelings of animosity without letting it be known out loud. It's so important for us to rid ourselves of even small traces of racism we may have because racist regimes such as Nazi Germany, Mughul India etc have shown us that seemingly normal people, entire empires/countries can fall to the depths of evil in racism. I'm sure there are people out there who realise that people with a teeny tiny racist thought can often be manipulated.
  5. I've heard that traineeships etc are good as you can learn while on an Administrators wage. PA work can also pay well while perhaps doing a part time course to qualify you for a potentially higher paying job.
  6. Hi Jagsaw, I understand that, but it was an attack on her feminity, u guys just probably need to read his post again to realise it. I completely however understand his dislike for her actions and political stances.
  7. Hi H Singh. What men don't seem to understand is that a joke about a womans feminity and appearance shows so much about the willpower, morality and confidence and of a man and the fear that drives him to do it. If a man bit*hes about the appearance of a woman in front of me, I don't even deem that man worthy of speaking to and will avoid his company. I have friends who will do the same and they all think the same thing when a man does it- that the man is insecure about his masculinity so feels the need to project this insecurity onto another. Ask your mothers n sisters their opinions on the subject and ask if they would enjoy being ridiculed for their appearance and feminity by a man. They also say dont throw stones when u have a glass house, and All slanderers have glass houses for sure because slander is always a fear mechanism. I don't really know much about Kiran Bedi as a person, I need to google her, but slandering any womans feminity is always bad form.
  8. Jagsaw, the first thing I saw in your post was you dissing a womans appearance and saying she looks like a member of the opposite gender, and i stopped reading because this says alot about a mans character and security with himself. I think this is a weak attitude to have and that many sikh women have to deal with boys/men dissing their appearance by catty men so I would suggest u stick to the topic instead of being catty. A real sikh man has no room for cattiness and doesn't project insecurities like that.I by no means defend this womans actions though.
