  1. They get funding from many different sources, intelligence agencies, nations, private individuals, their own rackets, and god knows what else. I don't believe ISI has any reason to support or fund IS, since theyre not opposed to attacks on Pakistan soil. The reason ISI supports Afghan Taliban and  certain Kashmiri groups is because they have an enemy other than Pakistan govt.

That could've been dealt with after the defeat of the mughals and the formation of Sikh Empire . Think of this , if the Sikhs had set up an empire during the time of Banda , it would've never had leaders to fell into the clutches of the dogras , and on top of that , it would've been around for 150 yrs  before the Brits started the war , infact , I doubt the brits would've ever started a war , since Sikhs would'n't have had weak leaders after Maharaja Ranjit . But , I diving into a whole :" fantasy , what if scenarios " which are completely pointless.

Sikhs were at that time not capable of establishing an empire, and at the same time resisting attacks from all directions. Banda Bahadur did not establish a functioning empire.

Were they not just surviving from one day to the next with little thought of anything beyond immediate, local issues? Does that kind of far-sightedness ring true as the kind of sentiment that comes naturally to us to that particular extent? I think it's a slightly romanticised re-telling of the past.

Youre completely right. It's more than slightly romanticized.

What I dont get is why Sikhs dont go there from Punjab and give the khasi people are good beating. The ones that are attacking Sikhs.

If Sikhs cant even defend ourselves against Khasi. Then what have we got left.

Where are all these so called khalistanis and brave warriors now?

Time to show what we are made of or become cowards and run away.

It's 2,000 km away, and most Punjabi Sikhs probably would have 0 idea where Sikkim is anyway. Not too mention afford airfare/travel. But you best believe theyre pretty good at holding their own in Punjab. But, I hope you defended Sikhs during 2011 UK riots? Only a measly 200km between Southall and Bham.

  5. Unfortunate situation, loss of civilian lives will be significant. All for the game of geopolitics. I'm curious who will back down first, US or Russia?

Oh and ISIS defeat was more due to Russian and Assad actions, not USA.

Their character already speaks for itself. Maharaja Ranjit “Singh’s” era was so bad for Sikhi that it took the Singh Sabah Movement to stop the corruption, some of which still remains today. That by itself says a lot.

He was superstitious etc, no doubt, and didn't shun any faith. But, that was common for society in general, hell it still is. Punjabis in general are superstitious folks and constantly mix faiths. That's something that can't be pinned all on him.

This is untrue. Baba Santa Singh Ji was not a sellout like longowal. Baba Santa Singh took money to build akal takhat sahib because then we didnt have an akal takhat. We were prone and in a bad situation. Baba Santa Singh Ji used the initiative to get the akal takhat built as quick as possible and without the sangats money since it wasnt the sangat that did the damage. I am not sure what you refer to when you say they were "threatened" can you please elaborate on this.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki fateh.

Brother what if back in the days we took money from Abdali to rebuild it? Would that be the way of Singh's, or to kill him?

We also need to question the so called indo-canadian gangs....who been killing and corrupting canadian Sikh youths since 80s...How do they get their drugs? Is it CSIS supplying them to them? or is R&AW involved? We need to question everything..

They get their drugs the same way every other gang does. There is no intelligence agencies conspiracy. They are also not seperate entity with a grudge against Sikh youth, and are out to corrupt them.

No matter what we thing about Santa Singh and who he allied with, I very much doubt he was chuffed with the attack, no Singh in his right mind would condone it.

Whether this is true or not, I did hear he was unhappy with Sant Jarnail Singh for not seeking council of Budda Dal before making plans to defend Darbar Sahib.

Why would he have consulted with a group that was largely already useless and allied with his and the kaums enemies. The Nihangs that did want to be useful joined on their individual discretion. Wasn't Santa bragging he should have been sent in instead of the army?

I don’t think it’s about maintaining a pure environment just for the Laavan ceremony.  It’s a mockery of the ceremony if the newlywed couple have just committed to have Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as the center of their married lives and to then go on and Party.  This is not expected from and Amritdhari and I thought being a public figure Jagmeet Singh would have thought carefully about this.

That wasn't my point, I was referring to the individual who said the beach is dirty etc. However, I do agree with you. I think Anand Karaj should be only for those who will live as Gursikhs. Rest can have an ardaas for happy marriage etc.

The Guru Saroop is taken to the streets every year in Nagar Kirtans throughout the world.  The question is about maintaining the sanctity of the Saroop.  If the place is serving alcohol, meat or playing lachar songs (ie Punjabi Wedding) then this unacceptable.  This is what the Hukamnama form the Akal Takht is about and it should extend to Akhand Paths in homes where these activities take place.

I agree. Its basically the same thing as a typical Punjabi household. I'd hope Jagmeet Singh had the beach section cleaned etc before, alcohol kept away during the time Saroop was present there.

Lol you just didnt say that. For your information beaches of Mexico aren't that clean. Guru Sahib Saroops are meant to be kept in a Gurudwara not some beach for a fancy  western wedding.

I'll give you the Mexico point lol. I was imagining a nice undisturbed beach, peaceful and serene, aka not Mexico.

Beadbi of Guru Ji by taking Guru ji to a filthy beach for the anand karaj. They couldn't just do it in a Gurdwara. This trend of doing Anand Karaj on a beach is a disturbing trend.

I'm sure these beaches are cleaner than Punjab, where thousands of saroops reside.

  14. How can they? No one does. Even during the 80s and 90s, there was no clear explanation of what Khalistan would be. Same issues are present today. Some people say it'll be panj pyare, secular, theocracy etc. There is no set boundaries, range from current East Punjab, to Maharaja Ranjit era Sikh Empire boundaries. There is no official representative. There is no way to know just how much support it has in India. As of now, it IS a pipe dream. Until we organize, build a dedicated/official public relations department, mainstream media will continue to screw us over.
