    Friends

This little katha touches further on the aspects of sukh and dhukh. It can sometimes be the hukam of waheguru too as is narrated to us through the example of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the dhukh which he went through without even feeling down.

The world exists from a very old time. So all this time, there was absolutely no hope for any of these devte merging into God by taking Amrit. So what happened to their souls after Amrit ? Are they still around to do seva or are they retired? If there is a hierarchy, then it means that 3 devte jumped the hierarchy to be born to take amrit. They should have finished their turns in their seva. What was the hurry to abandon their duties? So now if we assume that they took amrit then returned back to the hierarchy, then isn't it awesome we are being ruled by a Sikh Brahma, Vishnu, Shivji and Indra - the whole world is Sikh. Well we have not linked the devte directly to sikhi - we just saw char sahibzadhe as char sahibzadhe until some mahapurash got some divine idea that they were actually the Hindu Gods who had been worshipped for centuries and then they decided to abandon the Hindus and change into Sikhs. If there is a hierarchy then, it would also go something like Christian, muslim, Sikh - because mahapurash have also declared that mukti exists only in sikhi as is proved by the Suleiman ghost. If this theory is correct, then it explains why muslims are taking birth in great numbers now - coz one day they will also all become Sikhs and this is when the Khalsa will be ruling the world.

Also I have read somewhere that a brahma has a certain age which is not equal to the other devte. Then he passes away. So these devte are actually engaged in some sort of seva. SGGS also acknowledges the presence of millions of indras, shivjis, brahmas and vishnus. I think I have posted this somewhere in the bhagti forum. So was it just 4 of these who required mukti and were born as the sahibzadhe, if that is what people are trying to say. Why did not Guru Gobind Singh Ji tell us directly about them. Would it not have sorted out a lot of controversies which we keep going through. For instance if the hindus worship Brahma, vishnu, shivji and Indra - which particular ones of the millions do they worship?

  8. I used to be so angry coz I got a son who is always doing the wrong thing and got the wrong focus. I would shout and then get terrible headaches. Now I have decided that it is not worth shouting - I just keep quiet and keep busy doing my own stuff. We need to realise that we get angry when we try to do things by our powers. If we leave a little to God, and accept that things are the way they are. If we can learn to be tolerant of others and accept that we are all trying to learn something -( which is the reason why we are on the planet earth), our anger would be reduced greatly. Anger stems from frustration. A good way to control it is to place yourself in the other persons situation and think about it as if you were them... and you committed that deed. Would you be angry with yourself as much if you had done that ? We all make mistakes - and we all have weaknesses. Swearing, bad words, leashing of your wisdom upon others and labelling are not going to do either you or your victim any good. Trying to perform path regularly also ensures that your energies are more focused in the right direction and the cool feeling which you get is not worth being destroyed by the fumes which anger creates. Many of us get caught unawares and we have to learn to alert ourselves before we make a complete fool of ourselves and have to be calmed down by others.

A pret I guess is a demon. It has more powers than a ghost which is a bhoot. It inflicts more harm as in JKV has just told us about what it did to her aunt. A pret is actually a human who has committed mass murders and very bad deeds. It is chosen by the darker powers to stop goodness from spreading. A ghost is just a normal human spirit stuck on its way because of something small.

  17. It is because madho hum aese tu aesa. We are selfish, and God is there for us. We sin and he is so giving that he does not even look at our sin, when we call out to him. He always rushes to the help of his children. He even gives food and everything else to people who do not even remember him or thank him. This is because he is the one who created us and is responsible for feeding us. However we forget all this.

  20. Why marry for religion? You could be a sikh and marry one of your own. Why want to marry a Sikh girl and upset her parents as well?

SGGS ANG 462 Jin manas te devte kiye The above line clearly states that men were converted into angels or devte by Guruji. Not vice versa..... This should clear some amount of doubt. The punj peyare were clearly normal human beings, randomly chosen by Guruji from all castes so that there can be a total representation of all in the khalsa. Saying that they were jivan mukat before undermines the power of amrit which Guruji gave to them. If they were jivan mukat and all that powerful- why did they need amrit? Why did they offer their heads. Guruji did not pick and choose jivan mukat people from the crowd. If he wanted jivan mukats he would have chosen them himself. He is the all knowing powerful and can read people's hearts and knows the spiritual status of all. There was no pick and choose. All five who offered their heads were brought back to life after taking amrit.
