13 pieces of silver , then he commited suicide by hanging himself on a tree....Romans flailed JC (scourging) then put thorny crown on his head , broke his nose  then made him drag his final perch up the hillsides before nailing him to the cross

Thanks for the detailed correction penji.

  2.   If being born by virgins was something honorable then the Gurus would have strived to get to that level.

So was Jesus born in kalyug or satyug? There are reports that angels came to earth.. to multiply after they were tempted by beautiful women. However the children born to them were not through virgin birth.

So  was that angel special who was sent to Mary, who was engaged anyway? So what was the hurry that Jesus had to be born of a virgin, when Mary was going to be married after a short while and Jesus could be concieved the normal way as everyone else?

Was that the only way people would believe that he is the son of God? Despite the fact that he performed every type of miracle known to man, the Romans still doubted him and had him killed.

  3. I remember a sakhi however I don't know where it is now. The Giani ji was talking about dirt starting to boil and resurface when you do nitnem.

Yes so not a bad sign. You will have to keep boiling these bad thoughts up so that they can evaporate and you are rid of all your karam.

He gave an example of a sadhu who had never done any karam of kaam in his life. In his old age however he went astray and started sleeping with prostitutes. After seeking help on the issue from another sadhu he looked back at his karam and saw that he had been a fish in his last life. This is what was bringing up his bad behaviour.

    Kartoot pasu ki manas jaat...

Meaning a person having the behaviours of an animal.

He then had to increase his prayer or change it and then managed to defeat his mind.

  4. Prepare anti-inflammatory foods for the elderly.  Actually we should all be having some ginger soup or sund as it is called regularly. It just means roasting a little ginger powder in a little butter and adding water and boiling until it turns souplike.

Some people add onions, potatoes or other desired stuff. My mum used to add maize flour to reduce the strong ginger taste.

  5. When my little one was a toddler - I had no time for prayer. I went to the Guradwara and came out having heard nothing.

However now we have a time before bedtime when we both do japji sahib - he repeats after me.

I tell him the meanings of the words of gurbani. We share sakhiya sometimes. He is 9 now and does understand the basis of Sikhi which is prayer.

So dont worry if they are not listening at the moment - they will in the future provided you have a genuine interest too. try every religious thing which is available. Youtube videos, reciting mool mantra yoursel aloud - they will pick it up, books, guradwara - talk about what you see there, sikh history, read as much and tell them, sit down and try to do your japji sahib and also read the meanings. When you recite japji sahib with them they will want to know the meanings.

My mum just talked to us generally in less than a minute and told us the meanings of words in gurbani or the meanings of certain tukhs. All what she said was precious and still sticks in our minds.

  6. Congratulations on your engagement.  Perhaps you are not actually just gay but a bi. You actually want this marriage.  You are not complaining about being with a girl and wanting to get out of it.

You are only going through the natural feelings that a normal person would go through I.e. wondering what the act of procreation will be like.

To a woman sex is not everything.  I think you will make a wonderful companion as women love gay friends.  Sex is not everything.  Most normal couples just waste their time being physical without it leading to a deeper relationship.

So get on with it. Marriage has different aspects.  Provided you don't neglect her... it should work out.

They are from one of athe cities most known for crimes, Birmingham.

If you want to see the news article about it, I can post it.

Yes please. Thank God I dont live there... not that Its better elsewhere

  8. So who are these stabbing other people with compasses and scissors in schools? Are they from other countries where they had no health and safety lessons or is it with a motive to hurt others? It could just be to take frustration out on others. I would say secondary does seem scary as it seems animals have been throw in together.

I know of people who have transferred away from my sons school and he is still in primary  - they were getting bullied in the playground and the school did nothing about it. sad...

  9. I remember visiting my chacha and chachi and this is what they did to our family too.  They brought a lot of discord in our family.  Then years later,  our family stuck together while theirs broke and they are divorced to this day. My grandma stayed with them all her  life but the last four years of her life with us and only my chacha and one of his sons attended her funeral.

My mum however did lits of sukhmani everyday without missing. This Iis what possibly saved us. There were rumours my chachi visited some pandits.

It seems exciting In the start but when you have had a hard morning and aching legs and need to just sit down..  you realise you cant. You need to keep standing and prepare the whole meal  which gets gobbled up In ten minutes without a word of thanks. No one offers to help coz they think they are old so should not lift a finger. However the mouth can be used liberally to point out all mistakes In the food.

  11. Big problem penji. They will not wat your sandwich and demand nicely presented dhaal and sabzi, salad and a mitha... complete with gur... and achaar. The roti should be freshly made and soft.

That is good news, finally you will be able to move forwards penji. They will probably be more respectful when they are further away. It’s when they see other families and realise that their daughter in laws aren’t bad, then they will change. I’m so happy for you ?. Hugs ?

Lets see what happens... they might come over for meals...LOL

  13. My ones are similar. .. I have been visited by them. Due to lack of space. .  I sleep with my son and my hubby sleeps downstairs.  I get no help in cooking.  They sit with my hubby to gossip.  I work in the kitchen.  All my gossip gets recited to me by family members and outsiders alike.  Everyone knows everything which goes on in our home.  How clean it is. Where and when I go shopping,  how I behave etc.

However they plan to move out soon.  I have spent nearly 20 years in this switched off emotional state. There is nothing more you can do.. but focus on yourself and keep trying.  Some people will never change so change yourself. .. I take care of myself now and only do the much I can handle.

Thoughts of divorce come and go but will the grass really be greener on the other side?

I don't want to do nitnem I just want to have amrit. I'll decide if I want to do tnitnem after taking amrit.

Sorry not alliwed....Not allowed... go back to page 1 where It says .... do your nitnem. You will get greater peace. Having the real amrit will not trigger magic without nitnem.

Amrit flows from nitnem naturally. Create your own amrit by praying with a glass of water next to you and drink It for a start.

  15. People actually follow media more than religion.

Songs spread faster and are listened to more often than other religious  shabads or katha.

Their lyrics and tunes are more catching.  So you become what you listen to and sing too. This is what is happening to people.

During Gurujis time, the power of Guruji waa there to guide people and unite them.

Her name was Holika and she was Prehladhs bhua (aunt) not his sister. Holika was Harnakash’s sister. She didn’t use this power to try & burn Prehladh, she had a special shawl that could withstand fire & thus allow the wearer to sit in fire etc & not be burnt or hurt.

    Thanks for correction.

  17. I have read about this topic on a sikh website recently.  It was about honika who was Prehladhs sister who used this power to burn prehladh.

Some sadhus or other people have this ability which they cant control and they end up self igniting themselves and end up in hospital. One of these was a six month old baby.
