it is best bibi ji to learn your muharni properly and get going on reading for yourself ...you'll only get gurbani inside you and your tongue , ears and eyes made pavitar by direct engagement .

Sorry I meant audio with written, not alone.

What is nonsensical, confusing and really strange but, more importantly, extremely disrespectful is the practices and beliefs that you and other 'Sikhs' engage in that compares the physical pleasure of sex with the mental and spiritual state of anand as the same. Who are you or anyone else to make that judgement? Where does Gurbani say to chant the name while doing the deed? Did you find those tuks or do they not exist?

If anand was easy to obtain then there would be no need for simran, paath, kirtan etc. as the whole world would be Sikhs with the porn industry being the most devout of all.

Sounds like you are struggling with this but so is everyone else. Fortunately, we have Gurbani to help and guide us.

perhaps if you cut out all religious thoughts, then this video would make some sense.

  3. without any matra it will sound **oh especially at the end of a word.

it sounds **uh depending on the matra which was on the letter before it.

It sounds **hu if it has an onkar which is a one line under the haha, which is also a short sound for u

It sounds **ho if it has a hora on top of it which sounds o.

It can sound au too if it has a kanaura on top of it

  4. If you have a belief you stick to it.  But when you see people doing more Kirtan and being more devoted yhan yourself and then the next year you meet them and they have a blatant bob cut hanging around their neck like a sword- sorry thats how I was thinking about it.

Well I got puzzled a number of times.  I am talking about people with lots of devotion and pyaar such that you envy them. Then they change their roop the next few months.  Sorry but my upbringing had the importance of kesh. I had to trim after getting typhoid but not for a blatant hair cut.

It's not hidage truth. It iss accepting rnotaeality as it is. Fact: People have haircuts in our qaum. It's not their fault they have one, nor is it their fault they weren't taught as children. There are plenty of mone who have pyaar and sharda for Sikhi more than some Amritdharis - having kes doesn't automatically make you a good person or a dharmic banda.

When the time is right they will keep it. Do you really believe every single Sikh was Kesdhari in the days of old?

Yes it might be for you but not for the majority. Loll are you really trying to make people base their religious convictions on a film??? As someone who was a mona for many years keeping kes was not my priority and it's not for most who are interested in Sikhi. Forcing people doesn't work, and guilt tripping them by saying "People gave their lives for your religion and you throw away your hair" defo doesn't!

This is exactly the mentality which pushes people away. And I'm happy to say that a lot of people who had this soch are moving away from it, even some of the most kattar people around don't push this propaganda anymore. It alienates people and is detrimental.

When I decided to keep my kes, I wasn't told to, nor was I pressured into it or guilt tripped. I did sangat with the most chardikala Singh from Taksal I have ever met, he has dedicated his life to Sikhi, to bring Sikhi to the masses, and in our last meeting all he did was point at his own dastaar and say "eda dhyaan kar", that's it!!! He didn't mention kes once but I knew exactly what he meant, and he said it with so much pyaar I accepted it there and then - true pyaar is one nishaani of a Gursikh.

Thats exactly my point? Why people have not managed to create that much shardha. Whose weakness Is It?

Given the situation today, if we are going to hone in on relatively petty points like how apneean are wearing their haioln over other more pressing issues, I think we are only going to dig ourselves deeper into a mess.

So hide the truth and kewep buttering them. If they had been taught as children, they would adhere to basic rehet better. So men can have dastar and patke and ladies a fancy haircut denying their Involvement In any deeper religious beliefs or practices.

  7. My sister's sas went through a much worse time.  It involved looking after her husband's elder brother s kids too. She wore her chura for just one day.  The next day she was cooking washing making clothes for those five kids - starving herself for them.

They ate to their full and she survived on a cup of tea each day. Roti was not enough for them all. However she still cooks for my sister up to this day. She gives her all the time to look after her children and do her shopping and go for holidays.

She is blind in one eye and got only one working leg. She doesn't have any bitterness in her and still talks sweetly.  The kids she gave her youth for dont even visit her.

These are however old day tales of great sacrifices.  However on the other side of this lies lots of sukh. Once you get past the bad times,  then the good you deserve cannot be snatched from you.

We all know bad times at school,  work,  in family or times of illness.  They are part of our bad karma getting cancelled too.

Thanks penji, I haven’t smelled it whilst cooking. Olive oil smells? I’ll take the sniff test lol and let you know.

Which brand did you use for your son, olive oil?

Normal asda olive oil 3L Bottle

Thanks penji, is it the same as the cooking one in the stores?

    Hahahaha

Its the same bhenji. Bad smell though. You could choose the lighter version.

There Is one for hair which Is lighter and less stickier. I used bottles to massage my son on the body when he was younger.

Life of true Gyani. Eat little. Sleep little. Talk lots.

You mean type lots. Which Guru said that as keyboards were non existent. Or could they see the future clearly and said that secretly?

Thanks for reminding us! Loll ALWAYS use before a bath!

To be fair it does smell nice though. And it's very cooling.

How many hours do you sleep? You are everpresent here?

  12. I use conditioner sometimes.  Hair seems to get straighter.

Cucumbers contain silica which strengthens hair. Paneer, seeds and nuts are good for hair too.

Body wash gels are not as harsh as shampoo.

  13. My MIL made me use virgin olive oil... before a bath. So I had to apply it on thick... massage well and leave for an hour or two. Then after wash it off with warm water.  All the curls came off my hair.  I got lovely straight hair. I use coconut oil in the same way.  Apply... massage and waah off. I leave baby oil on. I use some everyday. Not on scalp but on hair.

Thanks penji, but can’t use the ones you’ve mentioned, due to health problems,  thus I’m asking about olive oil, as that’s the only one I can use or any other. I don’t like the smell of mustard oil. Or there’s baby oil?

Has anybody used olive oil on their hair?

  14. I thought he meant spirit by devte... as I am translating it to mean angel or spirits to be exact. Thanks for the correction.  He doesn't mention some particular one so I was not sure.  Yes I meant some type of bad spirit is causing tthis perhaps in the pretext of pretending to be some kinda of devte.

  15. Evil devte are there to make your life miserable.  They cause poverty, failure in life, family breakups, confusion,  disorientation, physical pains and bad feelings.

God is the complete opposite.  Man is the one who chooses what powers you want to work for you.  If you don't choose the good ones through guidance from your parents or Guru or guide,  then without any doubt you will have the dark powers working to bring you down.

So keep asking the good powers via path to keep protecting you.  Simran penji is right.  Don't eat anything from them and don't leave your used thinga around at theirs.  Ask Guru ji to protect you often and make sure you say your prayers and go to gurdwara often.

Your dad does seem totally misguided right from the start.
