  1. For a more balanced review see this one:

    http://www.hindustantimes.com/movie-reviews/chaar-sahibzaade-rise-of-banda-singh-bahadur-review-works-in-patches/story-EkkiRREEVJVqsxhF4Mh8iK.html

Overall I think the review from the Times of India has been criticised plenty if you read the comments section but the one think i will agree with is the quality of the visual's and animation could really have done with a step up, I don't know if it was a lack of fund's or what but it does lag behind what's coming out of animation studios in Europe and America/Canada (but I had the same gripe about the first movie as well)

    arent the smethwick community tightknit

No idea, if someone from Smethwick could comment that would be great, i'm just ranting in general that as a community we only ever come together when absolutely needed (in my experience), if we took time out for each other a little more maybe we could prevent future case's like this happening or at least intervene before it get's too late.

I am not for one second laughing at the Grandmother and I have every sympathy her and the 2 kids.  Hope the kids return safely and soundly and have not been harmed in anyway.

I do not however have any sympathy for low down women who run off with muslims and desert their own familys and  laugh in our faces. If I laugh at anyone it is the stupidity of these women we hear about that do stuff like this.

"You hate the sin not the sinner" is a old moto i live by, if someone has done wrong, take time out to try and understand why, it's difficult at time, especially if someone has done you wrong, in this situation we are quick to judge the mother of these boy's but we don't ever look at those who groomed her and how they preyed on her which, in the end, turned her into what she became and left her children abandoned.

I'm a father with daughter's, i worry all the time over thing's like this, heck, something like this happened last year where i live but the local community Sikh's decided to take the law into their own hand's and handle the situation but that was an extreme situation where law enforcement wouldn't do anything because they were afraid of "community tensions".

So why are Sikh parents not picking up their kids from school? They are probably working for a living. While many muslims are benefit spongers hence have more free time.

Its a difficult situation. Young girls between 12 and 18 are very rebbelious in nature. They do what they like. They dont listen to their parents. We can do all the talks we want but. its difficult getting thriugh to a strong willed teenager rhat only cares about her friends.

They are picking them up, but in a lot of case's it's not practical, you can barely scrape by on one wage in this day and age so people have to work, I don't know if your a parent or not but i'll assume your not (please correct me if i'm wrong) but until you have kid's you can read all the book's or articles you want, nothing prepare's you, my eldest girl is hitting teenage years and i worry all the time but i have to rely on making sure she has the right circle of friends, making sure she doesn't have a sheep mentality, putting here in a well regarded school that nurture's her and educates her, she is rebellious but i've not met a single teenager who isn't.

I don't think Muslim parent's are "benefit spongers", i think they face the same difficulties as the rest of us, the only difference is that they have a solid community based around their faith(which to them is everything) and the Sikh community unfortunately don't, our community is fractured, when i grew up in the 80's if some uncle or auntie saw me in town with my mates you knew your mum and dad would find out from them and you'd get a surprise when you got home, nowadays people don't care, they are too self obsessed, next time you see something that you might think is wrong, take 2 minutes out and observe, ask if everything;s okay, the worst that can happen is that you'll be told to bugger off.

Well its been pointed out that she use to work in a fish shop.

All I am saying is that it all smells a bit fishy to me.

You got a problem with that?

Yeah, i get it now, sorry, the irony of it completely passed me by, guess that's just how you roll, you know, by taking the mick or getting a laugh out of someone else's pain or misery, each to their own fella.

Did people not use slang when you were growing-up? If so what did you think the other words were suppose to mean?

People did use slang but i chose to ignore it, i'm a bit of a grammar nazi that way but there are two ways of spelling this particular word and, one is Cuckold and the other is Cukhold and both have dramatically different meaning's, i'll leave you to google that if you want to, anyway, talk about going off on a tangent from the original subject matter.

He is not a journalist, he is a blogger. He does not have a journalist's credentials.

He's not even a blogger anymore, that all ended when he went head to head with a journalist from The Spectator and had to issue a public apology.

He married some girl in California sometime last year. He's spending a lot of time in the U.S. He's probably looking to get a green card.

Also, during new years eve, he was tweeting and drinking quite heavily whilst his newly wed wife was holidaying in Mexico.

I imagine he is being cuckolded.

He has a habit of getting drunk off his face every New Year's Eve and posting on Twitter, i know people who follow him on Twitter just to see his New Year's Eve antics and seeing what he post's, it's almost a tradition in some circles, whatever floats you boat really, anyway, life's too short to be obsessing over people like Hundal, if ever there was an example of chalk and cheese it's him and his brother.

Oh, just to be clear, to be "cuckolded" he would have had to be present, just saying....

Why does no one raise this issue? Are parents really happy that their kids do this? Why dont they stop them? What happened to arrange marriages?

No one ever raises the issue because we are too busy chasing the moral high ground, until you have children and raise them you don't know what it's like, it's easy sitting on the fence and passing judgement but until you go through it as a parent you don't know jack, I doubt any parent who has a moderate belief in Sikhism (or any other religion) would want to see their child marry someone from a different religion but sometime's parent's are forced to make a choice, either loose their child or un-willingly accept their child's choice, like i said, until you go through it you have no idea what happens to parent's involved.

He would not discuss this as it goes against his middle class liberal programme.

He won't discuss it because he wouldn't get any free publicity out of it, that, and he may have to actually go out and speak to people and write an article based on fact instead of hot air the way he usually does.
