well....it can be hard sumtimes.....ima gonna be doin simran for da first time on stage this friday....itys very scary becuz i dun really know any tunes.....you could alwaiz listen to other ragi's and keertani's and if u listen carefully u can easiyl know wat keys their pressin and u could take em out urself.....and yes i would like if da sangat.....especially people who are professionalz in simran....could post up some simran keys pleez........it would be great help!and panji/veerji.......if u g2 keertan classes ask ur teacher to teach u some simran tunes....or u could g2 gurdwaras and learn

i have no motivation!!! i have a regular amritvela and do simran after my nitnem, i do sachi ardaas nearly everyday for help 4rm guruji. i dont watch a lot of t.v, or use the internet alot. jus now n then. i dnt worry abt work, got serious exams cumin up n i cant even make myself care!!! i dont worry about anything at all, i wish i did because at least id be scared n id start doin some revision! i just go to the gurdwara, or recite some shabad in my head n then i HAVE to go n listen to it, or do some kirtan otherwise i'll go mental!! ive always got some shabad in my head or a line of bani that i cant stop thinking about. at the moment its raam naam bin biratha saas leejai. the more i think abt this the more i wanna get into it, which means theres no more time for revision! what is this??? is the shabad jus ingrained into my memory because i listen to kirtan 24/7?? i love hearing shabads in my head, but i need to revise aswell (how do i multi task??) i need to stop being so carefree, before it gets me in2 trouble. HELP!

OMG OMG Bir ji/Bhen ji u jus lik totalllllly described me in those words... wa i wud suggest tho is doing ardaas and then going and trying to get on with your work.. and taking breaks regulary.. n tho this may sound bad.. try and stay away from any distractions for a while Good luck for ya exams!

Sooooooo i'm a new member..i've been coming to this site for a long time but just been too lazy to become a member    Anyways, now that I actually have a question myself...i'll get an identity.  So we'll go with Sahiba.  Okay. Intro done. Here's the actual question:

I'm not amritdhari myself (well, not yet) but one of my best friend's is.  Her birthday is coming up, and she doesn't eat meat, or eggs, or gelitin.  I don't want to risk ordering a cake from a bakery simply because she's pretty cautious about what she eats and I'd like to respect that - especially on her birthday. 

Aergo, I'm BAKING!!!!  or...uh, gonna try.  There's a lot of recipes online for eggless cakes..but if anyone on the forum actually has a tried and tested recipe, that'd be GREAT.

I'm not a baker or anything..this is a once in a lifetime thing i'm doing here.....

Also, sidenote, i'm loving the emoticons hehehe...lookat  :nihungsmile:  <--although it would be really cool if there was a Singhini version of that...maybe a keski with a chuni...the sunglasses can stay...lighten the beard a lil bit though..mine isn't that big...lol

Bhen ji I'm not amrithdhari yet either, but i was in food tech once and everyone was making sponge cakes / fairy cakes, and my frend hu's also amritdhari LOL wa a coincidence :lol: hu obviously dusnt eat egg asked how to make it without... and without goin on tooo long basically instead of using egg u can use like the same amount of milk! Tastes greattt as well!! Hope that helps :TH:
