The name Punjab is absolutely fine because that is How the world knows it...according to the logic that you are providing ova here...the names of half the historical figures and Monuments would not remain the same.

Everything today is result of what was there yesterday. Taj Mahal was also Moghul and was bulit for Selfish Means ....does that mean we change its name too.

Most of the Historical Articles will not hold any good sense for calling them what they were called earlier .....does that mean we change all their names.

The name holds so much magnitude for the State..

is there anyone who can tell the number of true sikhs...not just sikhs ....u know, youngsters are taking sikhi as granted...and we are counting some haircuts also in sikhs....they r not sikhs...i would be greatful if someone can tell me the no. of sikhs (not only physically, but mentally too), i mean those who have the mindset of sikhs..who can die for sikhi...

Its all feel good thing if they are making appearances in the Intl Teams....but will be better if they do that with their rehat ( Kes and Beards).....just so that people know that we can enter and make our way into any domain.

I have come across some news that the Hindu Extremeists have started distributing Video CDS in Punjab projecting that Guru Gobind Singh Jee was not a guru or a spiritual being ...he was just a rebellious leader with ordinary leadership qualities.

This news is not confirmed.......so if anyone in Punjab has come across things like these please testify.

Among all these political debates that we have in our Sikh Forum...Im glad that people are so calm and understanding and take this ignorance in the right prespective.

But honestly I'm nt at all embarassed or in any odd situation at any point of time...i was just expressing whasts going on in here with me ....I dont get enraged ..Infact I smile with a bliss in my mind , Because If I have any person making fun or looking strangely towards me I feel I now have one more mind to mould and spread the Sikhi Knowledge..

Also I'm greatful to most of my colleagues who accept me as what I'm as a person and nt go on their perception of what I look like.

The Angry and odd days were in school and college where I felot like bashing every guy who commented on mY Patka(Dastaar).

As far as complaining to my boss is concerned....he some times has funny bone for Sardars but Apologizes later ....all in the Light mode.

I was just asking for the people in west and other couties that what is the reaction of Goras and other officers when they see a sikh at work.. im glad that they except everyone as equal.

This is a question for which I would love someone to burst my bubble.

I go to work daily with My Sikhi Swaroop and come across real awkward situation at my Workplace (every sikh does at some point in their life) .

I'm in India so the scene is aint that bad because people atleast know that I got Hair inside that turban which is sacred ..but still, sometimes they dont miss a chance to make fun just to make some other folks laugh when Im in group.

I just wanted to know that how many of us in this Forum, India or Abroad go to Corporate Offices and other Workplaces and are not self employed in our sikhi swaroop.

More Important how many times have you been in some kinda trouble and how did u ovacome or get out of it?

The more answers I get the more stronger I feel that Im nt alone.

why do we speak about matters that are so debatable.

if hindus were not fundamentalist as a majority then why did they not try to prevent mass murder of sikhs on a large scale (only individual hindus helped sikhs in delhi and kanpur)

You have a point in your question.

But understand that a common man does not have any stand of his own....the Hindu Mobs in 84 were either motivated wrongly or Provoked by their political Leaders against sikhs in masses in such a manner that everything that Sikhs did was wrong.

They never would have had the same thoughts or actions as individual hindus but were only aroused on basis of religon for political reasons.

When a common man votes for a political party ...his parties and his leaders priciple's/agenda becomes that individual's principles.

Accepting that there mass sikh killings in Punjab in the 80's you will accept that there were a few unjoust killings of Hindus as well by Some misguided SIkh Activists.

Will that mean that every sikh soul on the plannet wants blood of a Hindu to survive....????

At the end of the day it boils down to few corrupt individuals at the top level who for their want of Power create differences amongst us which are completely uncalled for.

The second question tht you have is an answer to ur very first question ....that politics doesnt see people or religion it only makes dirty use of Human Emotion which can easily be upset by using sensitive points like religon /caste /culture/race.

From today we can commit ourelves that we wont feel superior and have any kind of Ahnnkaar with anyone no matter AMRTDHARI/CUTSURD/SEHAJDHARI/KESHDHARI. After all this long post should have some affect on our lives.

Please commit urselves not to have any differences with anyone and stand as One sikh community.

First it was Khatris and Jatts and Tarkhans and so on........and now it is AMRITDHARIS and KESHDHARIS AND MONAS AND PATIT SIKHS

Why are all of us into Intellectual Argument when we wish to persuade each other....Yes this has been heard and felt that the Amritdhari Sikhs feel superior sometimes but just ponder ovr....if they feel superiror...are they superior in the eyes of the lord...for him every human being is its creation ..............so it is just that AMRITDHARIS imagination, which will soon be wiped off when he comes to terms with reality and understands the true meaning of Sikhi.

Thats the advantage of Living in INDIA. Peope know that you are sikh and dont bother to trbl you at all .

There are a very few Hindus who are Not peaceful in the INdia and elswhere who are extreme and radical their approach.

The Ideology behind 1984 and post was political and not what RSS and other radical hindus have of Hindutva.

Nathuram Godse the man who killed Gandhi was a RSS member and that was their first achievement.

Since then they havent been able to do anything remrkable accept organising Fake Rallies and Scare people with HOAXES.

The name and organisations that you have mentioned doesnt leave any NON SIKH PARTY an enemy of the SIKHS ...which is completely wrong.

We are sikhs living in the world and we cannot live with an assumption that the whole world is our enemy. If we do that how do we claim to have equlity for all religons .

Im living freely in India with all the other communities and so many good people who are friends ....most of them even Branmins/Muslims and beleive me they respect my sikhi principles more than some of my sikh friens. I wudnt have got those frenz if had a perception of them being my enemy.

No individual is slave....a sikh was never and never will be.

Nor are we tortured by any other community ...it is the Pakhandis within our community eating the Pure and Undiluted spirit of Khalsa like Pests.

Dont initiate anger poeple against anyone....awaken the Spiritual Giant within...Once we overcome ourselves that is the time we graduate to teach the world.

First step towards this is just STOP BEING JUDGEMENTAL and dont see people with Perceptions.

Put things in right perpective and give them appropriate magnitude.

Not even one person in this forum talks good aspects about any other religon.How do you expect if people like us rule Punjab to take care of other communities in Punjab. Definately not by having a feeling of revenge.
