Sangat Ji, I was reading Se Kineya and many times Baba Ji (in response to someone coming to them and asking for something they needed help with) would say something along the lines of "Go into the presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and do ardaas with full faith and then make karah parshaad and offer it to Guru Ji and the sangat and your wish will be fulfilled". Why is the parshad being made so instrumental in granting a desire? I'm also reading the Damdami Taksaal Rehat and they too make Karah Parshad when someone comes to admit their cardinal sin. Why is this and what is the significance of Karah Parshad?

Sangat Ji, I have a question. In the Ardaas it is mentioned that if you "simar" (meaning to remember or like simran itself; to repeat over and over) Teg Bahudar then you will get Nau Nidh. Or if you bring your mind to Har Krishan (for me again, it means to do simran on them) then all your pain will vanish. Is this true or is there another meaning to this that I'm missing?

I'll most likely do the same. Thank you for helping penji. I've never met any baba Ji or mahapurakh or anything to that effect before so it'll be an experience nonetheless.

A mahapurakh/mahapursh doesn’t normally show that they are. I’ve met him and he guides one towards Gurbani. He does seva of education of poor children and arrange marriages of those not so well off. If he’s the one you are going to meet, then he will guide you to Gurbani as any other Sant ji would. Don’t expect miracles, because even he says everything happens in Waheguru’s Hukam, only Waheguru can help.
VJKK VJKF
I wasn't expecting a miracle or anything I was just asking so I knew a bit more about them. I'm going to ask for advice but I'm not asking to change my life anything - I just want some sikhyia or anything I can do help me move forward. I asked if they were a mahapurakh because I thought everyone who was called baba was a mahapurakh so I was just clearing that up. Thank you anyway Ji.

This is a beautiful message. I'm working towards this now. I'm 17 right now and by 18 my life (Maharaj kirpa) hopefully will be dedicated towards this very cause. The next 50 years is as much a job as it is for the panth but for each individual person. I'm ready to make all the kurbani and all the steps needed! I'm ready to walk with you!

Sangat Ji, just an update it's getting worse than before now. At one point, my mum literally just sat in the car and was like "I'm done with life" and she just wouldn't move the car. I don't know what to do anymore - I can't even communicate with my family now because they try to stop me from this path and when they talk to me about it they can't speak to me about stopping me from sikhi because my family obviously isn't it to sikhi and myself Maharaj has blessed daas with this daath. Long story short, I'm going to see a Sant Ji (Maharaj kirpa) on Thursday and hopefully they can help me with something that will bring peace to this family. Does anyone have any tips on anything I can do now - I've literally exhausted all my options? Does Sant bachan ever fail - I've heard a few people haven't got what they asked for and it wasn't anything that would be deemed wrong as such?
Vaheguru Ji.

Im having a really difficult time at the moment and has been like this for maybe 3/4 of a year.
Maharaj kirpa, i was blessed with amrit just over a year ago and in the start it was an unexplainable experience, however slowly i feel like i began to fall in my sikhi. I would look at all people and think with innocence that god resides in each person, but now i just seem to judge everyone and think bad about them. Vikaars have gone really bad and causes me much depression, to the point where i feel like suicide would be better than this suffering. I am a true believer that maharaj works through his gursikhs, and whenever i seem to go to the gurdwara i always seem to get dirty stares and looks from kamaii wale gursikhs and i just know that im not welcome, which causes me even more depression and stops me from going to the gurughar.
I try so hard, although i think about doing some of the old things i used to do before amrit (like smoking weed) i have been able to control myself enough to not commit any bujjer kurehit. For some reason i feel like i am being punished or i just dont feel the love from waheguru ji anymore, i try to boost my sharda by looking upto guru sahibaan but my mind even becomes to thing bad about our gurus ?
my parents had a breakup not long ago and that seems to have made things worse recently as i just cannot focus on bani and simran, also because of the situation, i had to backup my mom and maybe maharaj isnt happy that we chose for my dad to leave.
Im so confused sangat ji, dont know where to go, what to do. I do ardaas that maharaj blesses me with gurmat and gursikhi but im finding it difficult. The reason im writing this is because just today i spent most of the day reading bani, doing simran and it was really nice, and then the moment i sit down to do my university revision im just hit with depression from nowhere and this is an onwards cycle every single time, its so frustrating.
Sorry this was so long, I do benti in ur charan sangat ji that you give me your support and help me get through this. Im honestly so stuck and confused i dont see the point of living life without the pyaar for maharaj.

Your last line means nothing - you do have pyaar for Maharaj. You're not doing bani and simran because you hate Maharaj? You're doing it because you love him and that he wrote his pavitaar bani for his Singhs and singhnis to read everyday and contemplate him. You have the most beautiful gift one can recieve - Amrit. You have nothing to worry about. Believe me I am going through a similar thing to you in a dissimilar way. Personally, I've learn this is all just a MASSIVE test. Everyday of your life is a test. He makes you sad, depressed, suicidal, happy, elated, blissful, monotone, scared, fearless all day everyday. Why? Because he wants to know if his sikh is a true sikh. If his sikh stands in the middle of the storm when no-one else is and doesnt see any of these problems as a problem but a blessing. Blessing in the way that this is your chance to prove to him that no matter what he throws at you to will take it with both hands no matter what the consequences are to you and you will move towards him with everything you've got left. He wants to see if you really do love him and can keep getting closer and closer to him when he seems to you hat he's moving further and further away. It's from these tests he knows the type of sikh we are and you have the biggest blessing to show him you are the true, strong, loving sikh towards him that he wants. He wants you to learn and make a change in your life to get stronger but the main thing is - we do even more paath and simran. This could be Maharaj telling you indirectly "Sikh, this is the next stage of your sikhi no so increase your nitnem." Or "Sikh, it's time to see whether this Amrit has made you my true form in the Khalsa and if not then let this be the beginning of the process there". He won't chuck anything at you that he doesn't think you can cope with or learn from and you will move on from this. Do ardaas but you MUST keep your rehat strong and do more bani/simran. Even if it's more ardaas and An extra Japji Sahib or Chaupai Sahib. Anything just take a step towards him and he'll take a million towards you. If you need anything please message me or just post here again. I'm sorry for this reply I don't think I could really get my point across well but you may have got some help from the work Maharaj has created here. Maharaj kirpa. Hope this helps ji.
Vaheguru Ji.

Eventually with so much naam/bani you can get your mind to such a higher consciousness that you don't even need to sleep anymore. Happens to many mahapurakhs. Maharaj doesn't say you NEED to sleep but they do say that if you call yourself a Sikh of the guru then wake up at Amritvela (or stay awake because you don't need to be sleeping but you definitely need to be up at Amritvela to do simran/paath) and jaap naam. Hope that helps Ji.

i am asking for some asvice here, i started doing some simran, walking working and try to remember waheguru as much as possible since few months. I try to listen more and more katha kirtan and try to avoid lusty thoughts, try to control eyes not to see bad and everything i listen in katha i try best to follow gur sikhi.
about 10-15 days before I missed some of my papers on work, it was two pages. I am doing this job from 3 yrs, i am very use to it and i put every single item on its proper place, i was very confused where it gone. I try to check all pockets racks and everywhere possible but I didn’t find. Nobody was there no wind no door open nothing. I was very confused and then i told the boss about my lost paper. Anyhow he managed a new copy from the client.
2-3 hrs passed and i was still thinking about it and i started to put my further papers more accurately under my rack. After 2-3 hrs I lost the another paper.i was still thinking about it. Its 10-15 days now and today I lost third paper again.
I have taken its scan copy in phone so i can print it out but could anyone here has some similar experiences. I searched google there are many stories about negative spirits regarding missing books papers etc.
( i am a true belief of waheguru and i have nothing to worry about negative or positive or neutral evils or angels) but still i want to know if someone has some this tyle of experience.
thanks
VJKK VJKF
Personally, because you do Naam you already have a barrier against these negative spirits so don't be worried about them. Maybe it's just hukam and you gotta just ride the wave. It might be that Maharaj bought this incident into your life for you to come on here and write your experience and look for an answer but you end up finding another conversation about bani or naam and then start implementing that into your life. We don't know the game Maharaj plays but it's beautiful and infinite. Carry on the bhagti. Hope that helps Ji.

It might seem hard but you'll be surprised how many love married couples have problems. Maharaj put you with this person for a reason - he doesn't make mistakes. It maybe that he's making you pay for past karma or it maybe that this person is helping you in ways you don't understand yet - e.g controlling some of your panj Chor through love. Stay strong and increase your nitnem and things will get better on your inside. Hopefully this helps Ji.

If your family took amrit 10 times they would've got a tankiyah.

1) What's tankiyah?
2) Personally I think that's so crazy people took and broke Amrit 10 ten times wow.

I've tried reading Japji Sahib quite fast and I'm reading a lot more Japji Sahib now but is it wrong that I read more and sometimes my mind wanders for a few seconds at a time? It wasn't so bad at the beginning but as I started doing more my brain became more tired so I would still only wander for a few seconds but just it would happen more times whilst reading Japji Sahib. Any help as to if this is okay - is it okay that my mind wanders but I try to bring it back even though I think my mind wandering isn't totally caused by reading fast's. I think it's that I got really tired as I was coming towards to the end of my set goal so my mind waiver more but I was reading fast anyway so it just seemed twice as worse.

Fastest I've heard is 30 minutes for Sukhmani Sahib by a Singh from Hitchin (Herts) and this was back in '99 at the 300th anniversary of Khalsa Sirjana at Anandpur Sahib. To read Gurbani faster it is read in the 'man' without moving tongue. Singh's who become experts at this then overlap with audible simran or vice versa so get double laha as a result concentration increases.
My grandfather told me of a paathi Singh who could read one side of an ang with a single breath during raul, so imagine the speeds.

Maharaj Kirpa. I hope he's well now. How did your father find out about the mahapurakh? I myself would be honoured to have darshan of a mahapurakh.

Does anyone have any really cool stories of any sants or mahapurakhs? I'll share one I know and many of you have probably heard his already. I believe it was Bibi Preetam Kaur who was telling this story. Their job was to make food for the jatha and all the Singhs in the jatha as they were part of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindrawale's jatha. Sant Ji would always only have one parshada and they would always eat with the Singhs in the langar hall. One day, Bibi Ji requested her husband (who was also in the jatha) to ask Sant Ji and their Singhs to come and have their parshade in her own room, where Sant Ji would sit on the bed and Bibi Ji would make the roti fresh there and then and feed them to Sant Ji. Her husband refused (I can't remember the reason but it was along the lines of are you mad?). But Bibi Ji still made dhal/sabhji and had fresh ataa made for Sant Ji. Now Sant Ji's room was about 4 floors higher than Bibi Ji's room, and the langar hall was 4 floors higher than Bibi Ji's room. The same day (or the next), Sant Ji said "Singhon it's time to eat. Let's go." Of course, Sant bachan and now sant Ji had said it was time to eat then it was time to eat. However, as Sant Ji was walking they went down 2 floors and walked straight past the langar hall, down 2 more floors and walked straight into Bibi Ji's room and said "Preetam Kaur, make us all parshadas". Bibi Ji said they couldn't believe what had just happened and more interestingly that day Sant Ji had not one but three parshadas. Bibi Ji then said to her husband "I thought you didn't tell Sant Ji to come and have parshadas" and he confirmed "I didn't tell him... how did he know?"
Power of a Sant is beant because when that daas merges with Maharaj there is no difference.
If anyone has anymore cool stories make sure you drop them here!
