@RedopticsIt'd be interesting for you to contact groups like emergency Sikh help line and Khalsa Aid etc and see what their response time is like, what their response is, and how ultimately actually helpful it is, and whether it includes the Daswand donated by the Sangat or if it is just informational.

You already know the temp of pub mates, why not check the temperature of the broader Sangat and local Sangat while relying just on yourself and Vaheguru Akal Purakh ultimately?

It may benefit all of us.

Just been on the site it all seems to revolve around abuse, nothing on there for homeless etc.

That's what I mean. Even if the payment has gone through it can be reversed. You get the money back from the bank. Call them and explain what's happened. Probably get some reference from someone official if you can. Honestly, it shouldn't be a problem. You get your money back, you can stop stressing, and move forward to doing what you need to do next.

Ohh ok ill phone the bank tomorrow

Don't give details but how did things get to the point of being homeless? Can it be sorted out?

Basically I put down deposit and rent for house, I went to the property,  there was a weird Russian guy living there, I tried making chit chat, said he didn't the room to make friends.

Then there was a knock on the door and some guy turned up saying I was no longer welcome.

I got in touch with emergency services and have been in a b & b, now my money is tied in with other place and I have nowhere to go and no money left.

Its straight from a movie,  I didn't think stuff like this happens.

  4. Can you lot grow up and watch the entire video, before jumping to conclusions.

I know Guru Granth Sahib Ji, is the truth and I also believe there is no sakhis within.

Now let's take Sidth Ghoste for example no story actually fact  history and wisdom.

Some people define the term  'stories' as made up and some define the term as historical events.

Both definitions are correct, I use 'stories' as made up.

There is one great book if you love stories.

It is known as 'The greatest story ever told'

Also don't resort to name calling even if you don't agree with someone, its childish.

Not sure who this man is but he sounds like a missionary.

    Why is his dhari tied?

He says sakhis were written by Hindus, so was Kavi Santokh Singh ji a Hindu or a Musalman?

He says there are no sakhis in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Wrong. Much of Gurbani is in response to the very Sakhis which we narrate. Bani has a backdrop and context, sakhis are a narration of this backdrop.

    ......

I suggest you do your due diligence,  and read the material provided.

Another story which I really like is the story of Pooran Bhagat. His father, a local king, married a second wife, she was much younger than the old king and was a similar age to Pooran. The second wife then got attracted to pooran and tried to get it on with him. Pooran being a saintly young man said to the young Queen that despite her young age, in rishta she is equal to his mother. The young Queen got furious and told the king that Pooran tried raping her. The king was infatuated with his young wife and believed everything she said, and he order his son, Pooran, to be thrown into a well. Pooran was saved by Gorkhanath saint and became a saint himself.

Years went past and the young Queen was still childless. Someone told her and the King that at the local mela a holy man sits there and he makes everyones wishes comes true. The Queen and King then went to the mela and when it was their turn it turned out that the holy man was no other but Pooran himself, the very son that the King threw into the well after the Queen lied and accused him of raping her.

Both the King and Queen apologised and Pooran gave his father blessings and the couple had a son.

Sometimes the people that you bring down, are the ones that you go running to for help years later.

I believe this story is in Charitropakhyan as well.

Sakhi King, try spending more time on understanding Gurbani,  than continously reading Sakhi's.

White people are a lot more less materialistic than brown people, even though brown people like to think that White people are more materialistic for some weird reason.

More and more White kids are living with their parents now, with the properties going up. On our road most White people ranging between 20-50 years old are still living with their parents. Some of them have moved out in the past and then moved back again.

My English friend lives with his parents and so does his older brother.

Indians take loans so they can have huge weddings, lol.

People in general take out loans for weddings, not just 'brown' people. Ghori have made it a fad to have weddings outside their country, which costs an arm and a leg.

    Japji Sahib Katha 1 countined

Guru Ji added the numeral 1 to show there is no duality. There is only 1 God. Oankar can be split into two separate syllables when trying to find the meaning. The first part is Aum and the second is Kar. Aum can be split into 3 different letters which are A,U and M. The three letters represent the word Akar,Ukar and Makar. The word Akar represents Brhama. Ukar represents Vishnu and Makar represents you gussed it Shiva. According to Hinduism the three demi gods are considered most sacred and are responsible for the welfare of creation. Brhama the creator. Vishnu the provider or sustainer and Shiva the destroyer. This shows that Aum represents the trinity. Kar represents the formless lord whom is known as Vahguru. Kar is placed on top of Aum to show they gain there powers form Vahguru.

Akar, Ukar, Makar and the Ardhbind (Kar), when all four come together  and form one then understand this to be Oankar (Adhyatam Ramayan)

The Sidhs hearing this asked why add the numeral 1 it is not in the Vedas. So why do this.

Guru ji said "Our faith is for everyon and all of humanity. The Mantra Aum in the Vedas is knly for the Brahmin social class of people as they can both listen and recite it. The social class of Kshatris can listen to Aum but cannot recite. The social classes of Shudras and Vais cannot listen to or recite  the mantra. All of the women from all four of the social clasdes cannot listen to or recite the mantra of Aum. By placing the numeral one in front of the mantra, Oankar we show that God has no duality and Ik Oankar can be read and recited by anyone from any background. Those people who say Ik Oankar will be saved.

For this reason, we have created this mantra for all of the people in the world. Just as a cloud showers all the people with rain, in the same way God is showering all of the people of the world with grace and love. Regardless of race, gender, colour, creed, social class etc. Unlike the Aum mantra everyone has the right to recit this Ik Oankar.

    To be countined...

Where are your sources for this? You are now talking about the trinity,  which in itself opens up a whole different subject.

There was a second Gurudwara built up the road after where most Sangat go.

The original Gurudwara is still run, burned out, just from their adjacent tiny buildings. It's a much smaller situation.

I saw beautiful plans for what they want to build there. As soon as covid passes a bit, I hope they break ground on the new Gurudwara.

The burned out one seems..hallowed....I wish they could keep it and put the new one next to it but I don't think land space will allow.

Well at least that's something, they are looking to build something new, hopefully no rukas over who runs it
