  1. number 8.4 and 8.5 is very discriminating taking into consideration that we live in a very diverse society now.. just saying. Not everything that akaal takht says is right ( talking about the points 8.4 and 8.5 precisely )

, for example forgiving RAM RAHIM for his actions...

we gotta use our minds as well..

    Modern-day sikhs/singhs aren't warriors, which is a shame.

Most of the actual sikhs in Canada especially are soft as they come,  they don't exercise, know how to fight, or stand their ground, instead they're pushovers, and I'm talking about the Sikhs who were born and raised in Canada they're either fat or really skinny with no muscle allowing them to become targets of bullying and crime, not only that they also lack confidence which is something every singh needs, as they should be brave and stand up for others.

We need to start making sikh youth work out from a early age and get them on a diet, make them work out and take fighting classes, it's not even just the youth, some adults are also lacking muscle and strength.

How are you expected to defend your faith and the people around you, if you aren't built to do so?

They carry kirpans but can't even use them properly lol.

It's kinda ironic considering how the non-sikh punjabi people (the fakes) are the ones with the "lion courage"

Dear "So worried Brother", Today's fight with others is more Intellectual than physical Fight.

How do u even prepare for fight when you dont know the rules..... Brother.....

Finally we did it Punjab (India) is officially a Sikh nation.

Sikhs make up 60% of Punjab (roughly 18 million).

    Thanks to all Sikh organisations.

We did all of this in just 550 years ( Nanakshahi).

lol, out of those 60% Turbaned Sardars.... 90% doesn't have basic knowledge of sikhi.

    Congrats on that milestone btw

Ever read Sun Tzu's "art of war". He was a Chinese general some 2000 yrs back and he published the said work.

I m quite impressed by some of quotes from that work

    He says

"All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near."

How would one go on to implement such a thing in real life. Is this a nice arrow in an individuals quiver along with things like

    1. Brown nosing

    2. Flatter the one who seeks it.

    3. Judge people's weak points based on what they utter from their own mouths.

For instance : a friend kept his WhatsApp status "I don't want money, I don't want fame. I want greatness". It's clear how u milk this person.

    4. Appear all innocent and naive.

    5. Passive aggression

Brother, Know the context of the Book... It's like you are Reading the book but you already have made up an opinion about the book without even knowing the context.

The Book is not about everyday life of a Shopkeeper or a Labor worker, my friend.

This book,in my opinion, is for people who are involved in defenses or who are managing big organizations who often have to face competition in their respective fields... It has nothing against Sikhi because Sikhs under Guru SAhibs have also fought while taking into consideration their advantages and disadvantages and also their opponents' Weaknesses and strong points and exploited them with Full force...

Be a Sengh, Man... You are thinking like NAAMDHAARIS XD

    Sat Sri Akaal Veer g

I decided i will ask her if she can read about Islam and Sikhi and if she thinks Sikhi is better for her and converts then it's ok!! but if she doesn't want to convert after that let me walk in the path of Akaal Purakh goes against her parents wishes i would doubt but still be ok but i'm not going to convert anymore!!!! They literally hate every religion except Islam so if they ask me to accept Islam i would leave her!!!! Btw i'm getting a new intership Akaal Purakh da shukar!!!!

    Sat Sri Akaal

Dont try converting, it can ruin even a HEALTHY relationship.

Both of you just focus on Achieving Godly virtues that Gurbani Describes, im sure qoran describes that too... live a virtue-full life,

what benefit is there even if she Converts ? does Guru Benefits? NOOOOOOOO. Do you Benefit from that? probably NOOOOOO.

aFter all living a virtuous life is the True ESSENCE of SIKHI..... The Outer Dress Code doesnt matter at all.

you liked her because of her Qualities, Her Gunns ( Virtues), If those were AvGuns. As a Gurmukh SIkh, you wouldn't like her at the first place i'd suppose.

You liked her Virtues, i'd say Help her elevating her virtues even more. and forget about the Converting Ritual, ITS POINTLESS.

Anyone been on an Islamic message board before?

I recently joined one as wanted to ask about certain issues I dont agree with in the Islamic faith. The name of the forum is www.islamicboard.com . Anyway I only posted a couple of topics about their beliefs and practices. I was very polite with my questions and did not go to argue or anything like that.

Anyway they banned me after only 2 days on their. Looks like they could not handle my posts that exposed their faith. No poster could actually get the better of me.

They had a big section on there about clarifying Islamic issues that non muslims could post in. Yet they felt extreemly threatened by me. Issues I raised was. Islam cannot be ethical and moral faith as it encourages meat eating and killing of animals. They even sacrifice animals for eid and religious occasions.

I Also posted another topic about how all muslims in south asia were forced to convert by the mughals.

I was then banned. Reason for my ban was That I promoted a religion other the Islam. lol

They were so terrified of my threads for exposing their faith even though I was not disrespectful but merely asked questions. Half my posts were not even posted. Looks like they dont believe in freedom of speech.

I can send links of my threads on there if anyone wants to see.

Lol, im in moderation here as well,

Seems nothing is different here anyway.

    1. Can someone provide an accurate number of how many Sikhs there are in the world and how many Sikhs there will be in the future?

    2. What is the fertility rate of the average Sikh?

In my opinion, I think that in order for Sikhism to become a much larger religion than it already is, the mean fertility rate of the average Sikh must substantially increase.

    3. Do you think that it is necessary for the Akal Takht and other prominent Sikhs and Granthis to launch conversion campaigns in India?

    4. What and how do you see Sikhism being in the future? How many adherents will there be and how relevant will it be to the mainstream not just in India, but in other countries?

    5. Insofar as Gurdwara administration is concerned,  does the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee watch over all Gurdwaras? What of other parts of India, specifically in terms of historical Gurdwaras?

    You sound like Hitler.

O God ! Since I have held your feet, none other has entered my vision; Ram, Rahim, Puranas, Quran and many others recite, but I don't believe in even one. The Simritis, Shastras and Vedas describe many mysteries, but I don't recognise even one of them; O Sword-wielder God! All this I write, with your blessings, is not what I know but what you have shown me.(30)

    DOHRAA

Sagal duaar kau chhaad kai, gahe’o tuhaaro duaar. Baa(n)he gahe kee laaj as Gobind daas tuhaar.(31)

O Lord ! I have forsaken all other doors and chosen your door. O Govind, you have taken my arm; cared and protect your servant's honour.(31)

Just think Sikhs should ne singing/reading the entire Benti Chaupai, especially when Guru Gobind Singh Ji says you read this once, and your pain, suffering and fear will depart.

It also puts to bed Guru Gobind Singh Ji believed in hindu or any other deities.

That is what he said...... As we know that rehrass is combination of many banis, therefore, In rehrass, people only read ਬੇਨਤੀ and Benti Ends at "Dusht ........ Leyo bachaayi".

    Hi

I am interested in how your Holy Book was written. Also that it is all meant to be chanted and sung i think?

In contrast the Bible was written by many writers all inspired by the Holy Spirit whom we believe helps us to understand it once our minds and hearts belong to Christ. Jesus himself never wrote a word. Though the Bible is not sung, the Psalms especially have been used to make hymns. For me a huge part of worship is hymns, which i use also as prayers. When i read my Bible, i feel the power and holiness of God moving my soul and feeding me. Just as i am sure you do.

We all know God's Word is power and light. But i spend time looking at the origins of how the Bible was written. It interests me very much how your Holy Scriptures were put together.

I love the way you revere your Guru Granth Sahib. That it is your 11th Guru. We treat our Bible quite casually! I've got several copies in the house, small one in my handbag and two on Kindle. To us it is the Words that matter not the medium in which they are contained. I bet you think that is awful?

So please tell me about your scriptures and how you study them. Can you each have your own copy at home?

Yeh we do have holy scripture at home, most of the young 'uns have the mobile app version,

And before singing, our scripture is meant to be understood, contemplated, and practiced in life and then yes as it is written in musical Raags. It is evident that it is also meant to be sung.

    Veer gs and Bhenjis,

To begin if you don`t want to waste your time more than 5 minutes then leave it please

For those who are still reading!! around June/July 2017 there was a cricket final between India and Pakistan which we still remember Pakistan had won!

But short after the win Pakistani media had been posting video`s on YouTube in which Pakistani fans where saying to Indian cricketers: "akar toot gayi tum logon ki" "your attitude has been broken" as an Indian i went straight to the comment and there was a Pakistani boy who had name with "bhagwaan is gandu" Hindu gods are gay" so i had a few words with him as in Sikhi we are thought that you have to respect everyone his/her religion and in the few words i insulted his country (not Allah, i would never do that as a Sikh) then there comes a Girl (I can`t mention her name) she explains to me that not everyone in Pakistan is like "Bhagwaan is gandu" but the Indians didn`t like he reaction so they were reacting harse on her: " I will come to you in bed, and take your virginity" "Your father must be ashamed to have a daughter like you" and many more because of which she cried (she told me this later on!!) i felt the responsibility as a Sikh and i insulted every single Indian that was there and by this action she fell in love with me by time i also fell in love with her but deep inside i knew that her parents will never agree i never confessed she was the first to confess but i never really confessed until 1 day i felt she was crying because of my reaction!!( by this time i knew her for like about 8-9 months so i knew everything) i accepted  when you love someone you can`t see his/her pain!! so after this day we went into a relationship and everything was going fine until i again realised that her parents will never agree for her to marry a Sikh!! And without even thinking for a moment i converted to Islam and started being part of Islamic festivals. but unfortune she concentrated too much on me in place of her studies and failed an entrance exam…. she wanted to be a docter…. she stopped talking to me...…. she will return in June/July i felt very sad and because i now was a Muslim to get remain focused i started reading the Quran more often but now i read the Quran there was written that the non-muslims will enter the hell fire i never agreed with this so i started having questions about my new faith!! so i read about every religion every religion said the same except Sikhi!! so now i converted back to Sikhi and became a Sikh!! but i still have night that i can`t sleep i even had an intership but they kicked me out of the place because i was only thinking if  she is even doing well and in the proces screwed they work that i had got to do up!! Veer gs you are guys you can understand that if you love a girl and you even don`t know if she is doing well or not you have a pain in your heart!! but if you see she is laughing even if it is 1 second then your life becomes like heaven you start to like everything!! but the thing is i don`t know what to do next can any bhen or veer help me out please?

Why can't you guys stay in your own faith and embrace the difference ?

Guys is anyone suspicious of this mosque attack? It does not seem real. No blood, footage seemed to not be live but pre-recorded. Police arrived but the attacked drove a few miles to mosque 2, makes no sense. Recording seems to show same mosque twice not a different one. So many more things to point out.  I am having serious doubts about it now. Anyone else having similar thoughts?

Uhuh ? What are you suggesting then ?

By the Khalsa panth. Guru Sahib gave the Guruship to the ongoing institution of the Panj Piyare. They carry on the tradition of maintaining Khalsa rehit.

But tjere are countless panj piyare there, every gurudwara has their own panj piyare with their own maryada. How do we know who is right.... ?

    Which ones are ACCEPTED ?
