Though I'm late to this thread, having only seen the advert for this film today I must agree, the portrayal of this "low intellect" character as a sikh is yet another passive aggressive shot at sikhism. Forest Gump was not a religious figure, so I'm at odds to why they have picked a character in religious roop. It would be like having the role played as a man dressed like the pope , a lady in a niqab, a man dressed as a pandit ( you get my point). Its a real shame!
