  1. Yoga is as much a part of sikhi as pens are a part of your daily diet.

    yhh

i perform yoga for health purposes.. good for flexibility and core stretch.

But thats just the physical aspect.

Theres always the Karam yog and Dharam yog etc as mentioned in bhagvad geeta.. is that what the hoo haa is about?

  2. No matter what Bhai Sahib's Jeevan is, he will have to bow down to whatever Badal wants...as soon as he doesn't, he too will be removed just like Vedanti Sahib.

My personal opinion is that Bhai Sahib will have to do things to make Badal think he's in his control but undercover hopefully he supports panthic activities. Ultimately, Bhai Sahib just like Vadanti Sahib will be hated when he too is removed but someone has got to become the Jathedar

Looks like being Akaal Takht Jathedar is the way to go to get into a lose-lose situation..

  3. We shud encourage people to chakk amrit and take gurmantar from Guroo-roop Punj

I guess this is the only time I'm agreeing with you.. :\

When people do ardaas for "naam daan" well.. Naam comes from Guru.. Guru in the roop of Panj. So we can keep going asking God to help us win the lottery (an example) yet we never bothered to buy the ticket :umm:

Having said that: There is NO restriction to anyone whether they black/white, male/female, whatever caste/social status/religion They are allowed to read Gurbani and begin their journey to mukti.

PS: Bundha ur right. Let's concentrate more on doing our kamaee then kintu prantu :)

  4. Sat = present through the 4 tenses (b4 past, past, present, future)

Naam = Akaal Purakh can be in form of Naam.

There's nothing wrong in saying Satnaam (sri) Waheguru or Nirbhau Waheguru or Nivair Waheguru.. its all in the sharda.

    on sttm:

kiljug bwby qwirAw siqnwmu piV mMqR suxwieAw]

kalijug baabae thaariaa sathinaam parr ma(n)thr sunaaeiaa||

Baba Nanak rescued this dark age (Kalyug) and recited ‘Satnam’ mantra for one and all.

kil qwrix gurU nwnk AwieAw ]23]

kal thaaran guroo naanak aaeiaa ||23||

Guru Nanak came to redeem the Kalyug.(23)

The 1st line can also be interpreted as: Baba Nanak rescued Kalyug and recited the mantra of Naam that is Eternal beyond time.

  5. "x Singh/Kaur vallo £11 di ardas hai ji"

    even worse...

"x Singh te y Kaur de potre, A Singh te B Kaur de saputar, Kaka C Singh de Janam Din Di Khushi vich £11 di ardas hai ji"

talk about making sure u get the right person - as if Akaal has a database for ardas or summink :\

    and what kills it...

"Gupt Parivaar vallo £5 di ardas hai ji"

and most of the time if the bechare gianis forget to mention their names in ardas they go mad at them! Leh what happened to the concept of "Sarbkala Samrath" and "ghat ghat ke antar kee jaanat"

    Loki pakhand karri jaande ah

    [/punjabi mood]

  6. I understand your view in terms of individuals, but individually we SHOULDN'T be pointing fingers at anyone, because guru saheb says, manda KISE na akhiye parh akhar eho bujjhiye| so I beleive correcting someone and showing one's faults as a sangat is correct so he/she can improve themselves, that's why there's no dictatorship its called sikhsangat because sangat as a whole voice their opinions. This is the internet there's all kinds of people on SS, kids, monay, naamdharis, etc. so in terms of online polling is pointless, but the topic is of sangat, and I still beleive sangat / punj piaare hukam is supreme and has the authority to correct an individual.

Surely there's a line between telling someone what is good and making a public issue out of it..?

Personally, I would rather have someone tell me how to sort myself out than being made to look like a fool by some website. It's the same as airing your views of people on billboards..!

  7. singhs being made to look like a bunch of jokers and monkeys again and again and again.

You see, I don't know if you're talking about the movie or protests with naked swords..?

What would the outcome be? Negative publicity of Sikhs with yet another failed attempt to do something right?

  8. Once upon a time I used to go out clubbing, etc chilling, lot's of fun yo! Was a laugh the amount of stuff we got up to.. Was into my music as well - all about RDB!

Then I got introduced to Sikhi, learnt about vaues of Guru Sahib, 1984, other ghalughare, our rich history.. I got into Sikhi. Slowly, I weaned myself away from my past life.. getting closer to Sikhi - Chilling out with Singhs.. it was great.

A record company recognised my talent in music and decided to give me a break! It was Sikhi based as well! Busted some Sikh lyrics, felt awesome.. finally it was all fitting in..

Then a mate posted up pics on facebook.. aw man reminds me of old days it was a laugh! But wait.. what is this?! Someone copied my pics onto a website and said i'm not a role model?! :| Why are they pushing me away? How can I get away form my past - These people don't let me.. I don't know what to do.. O well if they don't want me singing Sikh lyrics fine I won't. Ah I miss the old days now, atleast they respected me..

    The End.

PS: This is not crative singh and it's not me. I'm just making sense of this situation in what I believe may be his views by writing up a story in first person. Wonder if anyone notices.. meh who's gonna care?

  9. I think veerji was referreing to "caffeine" when he mentioned "coffin" but I could be wrong. Caffeine is a stimulant and it acts on the central nervous system to restore alertness. Those who keep strict rehat generally avoid drinking tea and coffee, as it is considered a "nasha" to them.

The research suggest otherwise, visit my site for the facts, the truth, and to get away from the white lies that are crammed in media and medical rungs...

Could you please let us know here what you mean... All I have found on your forum is about the way Caffiene is not linked to dehydration - which is not the topic..

I'm really interested in this matter :)
