  2. Yes, we have to live our household lives, but we dont have to get engrossed in it. It is not like taking out time from our household lives for Naam... BUT it is like doing the household jobs superficially while CONCENTRATING on NAAM.

    My mind is attached to the True Name.

    My dealings with other people are only superficial. ||1||

    Outwardly, I am on good terms with all;

    but I remain detached, like the lotus upon the water. ||1||Pause||

    By word of mouth, I talk with everyone;

    but I keep God clasped to my heart. ||2||

    I may appear utterly terrible,

    but my mind is the dust of all men's feet.

    Servant Nanak has found the Perfect Guru.

    Inwardly and outwardly, He has shown me the One Lord. ||4||3||54||

    Canadian PM to visit Golden Temple

    Onkar Singh in New Delhi | October 22, 2003 10:49 IST

    Last Updated: October 22, 2003 22:34 IST

    Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien will visit the Golden Temple and meet with Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Gurcharan Singh Tohra on October 25.

    Chretien, who will be in India on October 24 and 25, is expected to fly from New Delhi to Amritsar in an Air Sahara jet. He will arrive at the Raja Sansi International Airport by 0830 and head for the shrine, where Tohra will receive him.

    The SGPC will bestow a Siropa (a robe of honour) on Chretien in recognition of his contribution to the welfare of around 1.2 million Punjabis in Canada.

    Tohra will request Chretien to talk to the British Columbia University to install a 'Sikh Chair' there. The objective behind this is to promote research at undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of Punjabi literature and Sikhism.

    After spending some time in the temple complex, Chretien will fly to Chandigarh, where Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and other Punjab officials will receive him.

    In Chandigarh he will upgrade to consulate general the business office set up by Canada in 1977.

    Keeping in mind the growing demand from the Punjabi community, the government has permitted Canada and the United Kingdom to open consulates in Chandigarh.

    Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

    I think some people here (those who think "what if panj pyarey didnt tell the technique") need to read "Amrit kee hae" by Bhai Randhir Singh Jee. The english translation can be read here :Amrit Kee Hae

    I would strongly recomend all to read it if they havent yet.

    Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

  10. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

    Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

    Yes, anyone may do simran of waheguroo, but the thing is "How to do it". I would just say that those who are on the path to take amrit should say waheguroo any way they can... no one can tell them what way is proper or not. Even if someone tells them a particular method/way to do simran, it will be nothing compared to the kirpa u recieve from the Guru. So untill you are amritdhari, focus on remembering waheguroo and not on the method how to do it.
