1. theres so many posts that say 'i'm not surprised' and 'it happens all the time'... but, isn't that the problem?

another thing as sum1 else mentioned... just because he's wearing a pagh, it doesn't make him sikh... being a sardar in india is more of a 'fashion' thing then a religious thing nowadays, it seems..

  2. America’s economy is bad because are president is a tard and started a ridicules war.

Imagine how bad it would be if it was put under the same situation that cuba has been put under for the last 50 years (as singhavelli said)... i think thats (one of) the points that singhavelli is making... is that due to the circumstances that cuba has been put under by people like the US Gov't and other major international countries, its doing VERY well and has progressed itself in categories that countries like the US have declined...

Competition pushes people to do better.

but, don't u think competition also pushes the most greed and ego? moreso then the 'egomaniac communist leader'? for example, when u have companies like Wal Mart who drive manufactures to make the most minimum profit they can, almost just breaking even, just so they can have the lowest prices as compared to their competitors..

there's good and bad of all situations...

  3. Take ishnaan before you do Nitnem... Best to do simran/bani while showering as well...

    its practicality...

    1. Shower will wake you up nicely

    2. You'll 'cleanse' ur body of sweat, dirt, and all them other things...

    3. You'll feel fresh..

    and from what Japmans said:

Isn't it possible that gurbani's implying that the "pool of nectar" is gurbaani itself?

remember, we have to be "jeeoh nirmal" (inwardly pure) and "baarho nirmal" (outwardly pure)

to cleanse your outside you take a shower an all that stuff:

BrIAY hQu pYru qnu dyh ]

    bhureeai huth pair thun dhaeh

When the hands and the feet and the body are dirty,

    pwxI DoqY auqrsu Kyh ]

    paanee dhothai outhurus khaeh

water can wash away the dirt.

    mUq plIqI kpVu hoie ]

    mooth puleethee kupurr hoe

When the clothes are soiled and stained by urine,

dy swbUxu leIAY Ehu Doie ]

    dhae saaboon leeai ouhu dhoe

    soap can wash them clean.

and then we cleanse the inside with bani and naam:

BrIAY miq pwpw kY sMig ]

    bhureeai math paapaa kai sung

But when the intellect is stained and polluted by sin,

Ehu DopY nwvY kY rMig ]

    ouhu dhopai naavai kai rung

it can only be cleansed by the Love of the Name.

  4. They Key is not to get to a point where u think u've been forgiven... don't do bani and simran just to be forgiven or just to erase ur previous sins... then you don't get the full affect because you're doing it for a reason then...

we should do bani and naam for the Love of Guru Sahib... not for any other reason..

"Raaj Na Chaaho, Mukat Na Chaaho, Man Preet Charan Kamlaray"

don't think whether you've been forigven or not... the focus in life is to devote our mind and consciousness to Guru Sahibs Charan... if ur thinkin of whether u've been forgiven or not, then the mind has gone astray away from the real path.. because then we're doing bani and simran to get something in return...

Miraculous Messages from Water

How water structure reflects our consciousness
by WellnessGoods.com

Water has a very important message for us. Water is telling us to take a much deeper look at our selves. When we do look at our selves through the mirror of water, the message becomes amazingly, crystal, clear. We know that human life is directly connected to the quality of our water, both within and all around us.

emoto.jpgThe photographs and information in this article reflect the work of Masaru Emoto, a creative and visionary Japanese researcher Mr. Emoto has published an important book, "The Message from Water" from the findings of his worldwide research If you have any doubt that your thoughts affect everything in, and around you, the information and photographs that are presented here, taken from the book of his published results, will change your mind and alter your beliefs, profoundly.

How the molecular structure of water is affected...

From Mr. Emoto's work we are provided with factual evidence, that human vibrational energy, thoughts, words, ideas and music, affect the molecular structure of water, the very same water that comprises over seventy percent of a mature human body and covers the same amount of our planet. Water is the very source of all life on this planet, the quality and integrity are vitally important to all forms of life. The body is very much like a sponge and is composed of trillions of chambers called cells that hold liquid. The quality of our life is directly connected to the quality of our water.

Water is a very malleable substance. Its physical shape easily adapts to whatever environment is present. But its physical appearance is not the only thing that changes, the molecular shape also changes. The energy or vibrations of the environment will change the molecular shape of water. In this sense water not only has the ability to visually reflect the environment but it also molecularly reflects the environment.

Discover how each source has an effect on the visual photographed structure...

Snow has been falling on the earth for more than a few million years. Each snowflake, as we have been told, has a very unique shape and structure. By freezing water and taking a photograph of the structure, as Mr. Emoto has done, you get incredible information about the water.

Mr. Emoto has discovered many fascinating differences in the crystalline structures of water from many different sources and different conditions around the planet. Water from pristine mountain streams and springs show the beautifully formed geometric designs in their crystalline patterns. Polluted and toxic water from industrial and populated areas and stagnated water from water pipes and storage dams show definitively distorted and randomly formed crystalline structures.

With the recent popularity in music therapy, Mr. Emoto decided to see what effects music has on the structuring of water. He placed distilled water between two speakers for several hours and then photographed the crystals that formed after the water was frozen.

After seeing water react to different environmental conditions, pollution and music, Mr. Emoto and colleagues decided to see how thoughts and words affected the formation of untreated, distilled, water crystals, using words typed onto paper by a word processor and taped on glass bottles overnight. The same procedure was performed using the names of deceased persons. The waters were then frozen and photographed.

Energized water has had its molecules returned to their original life-giving, super moisturizing state. This allows maximum moisture absorption into the cells of your body, pets and plants; a major key to healing, and the maintenance of health and vitality. Dr. Emoto has revealed to the world the power of water's vibration. Take the next step and bring this transformation into your life and into your part of the world by naturally structuring your water.

These photographs show the incredible reflections of water, as alive and highly responsive to every one of our emotions and thoughts.

It is quite clear that water easily takes on the vibrations and energy of it's

environment, whether toxic and polluted or naturally pristine. Masaru Emotos extraordinary work is an awesome display, and powerful tool, that can change our perceptions of ourselves and the world we live in, forever. We now have profound evidence that we can positively heal and transform ourselves and our planet by the thoughts we choose to think and the ways in which we put those thoughts into.

  6. Raul Castro named Cuban president

Raul Castro has been unanimously selected to succeed his brother Fidel as leader by Cuba's National Assembly.

Fidel Castro stepped down last week after nearly half a century in charge.

Raul has in effect been president since Fidel had major surgery in July 2006. It is understood that he was the only nominee in a vote seen as a formality.

But the real shock was when he chose 78-year-old Politburo hardliner Machado Ventura as vice-president, says the BBC's Michael Voss in Havana.

The commander in chief of the Cuban revolution is unique, Fidel is Fidel, as we all know well, he is irreplaceable

    Raul Castro

There had been speculation that Raul Castro, aged 76, would name one of Cuba's younger generation of communist leaders as his number two.

But he instead opted for one of the original leaders of Cuba's communist revolution.

What this means for the prospects for change remains unclear, our correspondent says.

    Economic challenge

In an address to the nation, following the behind-closed-doors vote, Raul Castro said the Cuban government would continue to consult Fidel Castro, 81, on major decisions of state - a move backed by the National Assembly deputies.

Raul Castro paid tribute to his brother as he accepted the presidency saying:

"The commander in chief of the Cuban revolution is unique, Fidel is Fidel, as we all know well, he is irreplaceable."

Our correspondent says Raul Castro now has to steer the Caribbean island through un-charted waters in an unpredictable period of economic and political renewal.

Before Sunday's session, Raul Castro had suggested implementing major economic reforms and "structural changes".

He has worked to ensure a smooth political transition, keeping the army loyal to the regime and strengthening the Communist Party's hold by introducing reforms and weeding out corrupt officials.

He has also had the advantage of continued economic support from Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in the form of millions of barrels of cheap oil, our correspondent adds.

    Letter announcement

Fidel Castro, who has ruled Cuba since leading a revolution in 1959, announced his retirement in a letter published on the website of the Cuban Communist Party's newspaper Granma last week.

    Bhutto party in coalition offer

    PPP supporters

Supporters of Ms Bhutto's party have been celebrating in the streets

The party of Pakistan's late former PM Benazir Bhutto - the biggest winner in Monday's election - says it is ready to form a coalition with the PML-N party.

A union of Ms Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party (PPP) with the PML-N of another former PM, Nawaz Sharif, would have more than half parliament's seats.

The main party backing President Pervez Musharraf suffered heavy defeats.

The president's position has never looked more precarious, the BBC's Chris Morris in Islamabad says.

If a new governing coalition manages to muster a two-thirds majority in parliament, it could call for Mr Musharraf to be impeached.

Mr Musharraf was re-elected to the presidency last October, in a vote boycotted by the opposition as unconstitutional.

    PML-N (Nawaz Sharif): 66

    PML-Q: (pro-Musharraf) 38

He has been a major US ally in the "war on terror" but his popularity has waned at home amid accusations of authoritarianism and incompetence.

The US State Department described Monday's election as a "step toward the full restoration of democracy".

    'End of dictatorship'

At a press conference on Tuesday, Ms Bhutto's widower and the PPP leader, Asif Ali Zardari, said his party would "form a government of national consensus which will take along every democratic force".

"For now, the decision of the party is that we are not interested in any of those people who are part and parcel of the last government," he said, seemingly ruling out any coalition with the Pakistan Muslim League's pro-Musharraf wing, the PML-Q.

The PPP has won 87 seats so far, according to the website of private TV network, Geo.

    Can Musharraf survive?

    Pakistani press upbeat

The PML-N, or Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz, is in second place with 66 seats so far.

Mr Sharif said earlier on Tuesday that he was prepared to discuss joining a coalition with Mr Zardari's party in order "to rid Pakistan of dictatorship forever".

The two parties so far have a combined total of 153 seats in the 272-seat parliament.

President Pervez Musharraf main parliamentary ally, the PML-Q, has already admitted defeat.

The party has come a distant third, with 38 seats so far.

PML-Q chairman, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, told Associated Press Television News his party accepted the results "with an open heart" and was prepared to "sit on opposition benches".

Mr Musharraf, who seized power in a bloodless coup in 1999, stepped down as army chief last year, at the urging of his foreign allies.

The parliamentary election has been seen as a key milestone in Pakistan's transition from military to civilian rule.

The election was preceded by months of violence, including the suicide attack that killed PPP leader, Ms Bhutto, in December.

The poll was initially scheduled for early January but was delayed after her assassination.

Pakistan's military has been trying to contain a Taleban-influenced Islamist insurgency along the country's rugged frontier with Afghanistan.
