  1. Is it oryt to say metho kaam di galti hogi or is that not in detail enuff?

Baji go back to my earlier pots, ive explained that saying Kaam di galthi hogi is enough as Punj Piaria are Guru Roop. After you tell them they should tell you the exact way to bring Kaam under control

  2. Is it wrong to feed birds just so they don't go hungry? Nothing to do with offering food to Shaheeds, etc? Please someone tell me it isn't wrong!!! :blink2:

Simply No, but your council will say refrain from feeding pigeons as they carry diseases, but why would it be wrong to feed Gods creatures

  3. Your advise is appreciated, but do you consider Gurbani to be Sri Vaheguru ji Maharaj? Also present the Gurbani you are refering too, so others can see what Maharaj is saying.

Theres also another Shabad i will try find which talks about the punishment of guiding people on Divinity and having No Avasta

  4. I get how there are differentiating opinions of Arthi but this isnt Sikh there is No spiritual gains in throwing flowers or holds a fire/joth if people read Arthi they would see that it was written after he has obtained NAAM and was in Ustat (Praise) so what has this got to do with any physical ritual, as for Modern Nihang singhs there trying to do their best to uphold Guru Gobinds martial traditions, but are going at it from the wrong way around.

I’ll put a few statements out there for people and they can make their own minds up about it.

Do you believe Guru Nanak brought the message of God and was able to come and go from this material world and spiritual world freely?

Do you believe the message from Sat Guru is to be freed from the Grip of Kaam Kroad Loub Mou Hankar, which are the sole reason of Rebirth and Sin?

Do you believe the mind is Jooth Saroop (light form) and can travel back to Gods Land where you can meet and speak with gurus and prataan Gur Sikhs?

If the answer is no to any of these, but still believe in the traditions of Guru gobind singh then you’re not classified as Sikh.

If it’s Yes then our duty is not use our own Mat (understanding) on Divinity but to surrender ourselves to Sat Guru and follow the path which Guru feels fit for us.

  5. To be honest baji giving advice is easy behind your screen on issues like this, but keep in mind if your going to carry on giving advice, then you be best be 100% right and not half sure on issues like this, as if someone did take your advice and ruined there life i hope your ready for the consequence God has. As Gurbani has made it clear any soul that gives advice on Me (God) without having Seen me talked to me heard me will be burnt again and again in the womb.

  6. What you quoted of mine was taken out of context completely. First learn where a sentence starts and ends and then start quoting people. You only quoted this:

just start ignoring her till the point where she humbles down accepts reality...

    But i actually wrote this:

Instead start a practice of feeding birds around the house everyday. If she yells at you for that, then everyone in the house will know how crazy she is and just start ignoring her till the point where she humbles down accepts reality.

The part in bold was cut out and distorted. Next time keep your tribe tricks to yourself.

Baji your implying i didn't read your post before I quoted, I still hold with what Chatanga said about not following what you said as imo it would cause a unessential rift in the family, look this seems to turning in to a popularity contest and feelings seem to be getting hurt, just before anyone takes away something negative from these discussion do a check on your mind frame before people post as something said in spite is being written on your karam so pair pair thee diaan daio

  7. lol and the other starts telling everyone what Buddhist are to accept as their beliefs and the monk is a Brahmgyani

Agree 100% anyone that thinks they can label Someone a Brahm Gyani is just laughable, and then says just to further the conversation i will take away the quote, which just means I still believe in the statement but am willing in the interest of discussion, not use it. Two things either he has a different meaning for the word or doesn’t understand when Guru Arjan says God picks who is to be Brahm Gyani and whoever it may be merges with Vaheguru becoming God himself. So which is it N30SINGH

There are plenty of discussion between bijla singh (respected member of this forum) and i on satguru contexts in gurbani and semantics around the label -satguru, please search the forum and read the debate with open mind and make up your mind...its already been debated until it reached its life cycle from both sides.

To honest im not interested in people opinions if they them selfs havent reached Vaheguru, as its all opinion and open to debate, as for What Gur Bani says we have all the same Soul/Mind and only through Sat Guru can we merge back with Vaheguru

Again if you believe there is another, other than Sat Guru who can give Naam thats fine thats your belief, but state it so there's no miss-understanding.

From the post above mines....anyone can tell this member is full of slander.....calling other members goons, pendufied sikhi, taliban, etc. What can be gained from such a person!!!

I think baji its easy to mis-read a post as the emotions in which they have been written cannot be betrayed. In my opinion N30SINGHS heart is in the right place, saying that everyone has a right to their own doctrine and we should not judge them or belittle their Faith. If this is the case i agree and disagree, because when Guru jee called Hindus blind and Muslims half blind, people would think that gurus are just trying to make a Rift with the notion im better than you, but its bigger than that, N30SINGH God is real and there is only 1 truth, so if your doctrine doesn’t match the Truth there’s only one thing it can be called FALSE or at best partly True.

One member came on here and put all of them in their place, instead of accepting it Chatanga on the spot just makes up some non sense.

Baji im not in to praising people nor do i think i can as Chatanga may be far more of a Gur Sikh than i am, but from what I’ve read he's shown maturity in his posts, as for you, again is my opinion is hit and miss you seem to be right sometimes but are way off, by contradicting yourself and giving bad advice other times. That’s why I’ve always maintained that only speak to where your spiritual reach is, if you have none then stay quiet, as guiding someone on Sikhi without Avasta is Paap.

  8. I wouldnt either of those if i were you. Our parents have some weird ideas about this kind of stuff, mine included, but as a daughter in law, do you really want cause a ruckus of something so trivial? if its only 1 day a year, just do it, but with your own children set them straight against this stuff.

By doing it you arent going to become less of a sikh, as Guru Ji already knows your intention, but by keeping shanti in your house, you will achieve more in the long run.

One way to approach this on a community level is to get the local gurdwara, to give some kind of programme about it form the stage so everyone can learn about it. By running head on into it, are you going to come off better or worse?

    Common sense prevails again

Benji theres a time and place to fight and a time to see that there isnt any damage been done to others by this ritual, Vaheguru see's that your trying to do your best. Just while doing this be doing Simran in your mind and make the offering to Vaheguru :).

  9. That's true but that's also why I said it shouldn't be treated as greed. Being ambitious is surely not the same as being greedy? Is It? Ambition to accumulate wealth IS greedy but ambition to be the best (in whatever you choose to excel at) surely cannot be a negative.

Theres delicate devide, first is that ambition for things which dont go with you is fruitless one

Deluded by Maya, the mortal is led into sin and corruption.

But to say that not having drive to achieve is wrong, your goals should be in line with Daram.

  10. Also lot of puratan mahapursh such as sant baba isher singh ji rara sahib have repeatedly talked about mahatama budda life, refer to him as mahatma in their divans, even have divan dedicated to him as mahatama budda.

    Link.

We as sikhs cannot and should not be authority on Buddhist theology, its best its left to buddhist theologist... so far whatever i read, i don't see any atheism in their philosphy-

Your wrong we do have the authority to dissect other relgions and call them false purely by the fact that they dont have a Sat Guru and follow the True Daram, it was Vaheguru who said without Sat Guru there is no Salvation, peace or true understanding of us/universe.

Thats seems to be your stock answer to everything that you dont beleive in, on this forum. Like you are the only one who can understand the context of things, and everyone else takes things out of context. What a cretin.

We dont have to believe everything we read, but we cant deny the things we hear from the source.

says the raja of nitpickers. what a hypocrite!

Satguru is saying that he is neither Hindu or Muslim. has nothing to do with Sant Jarnail Singh saying that Muslims should be true Muslims, and hindus and so on.

Let your ego go. And the notion that you have some superior intellect.

Also I have to agree with chatanga, you seem to think that your opinion on matters are always correct, and your post about people being negative, it would be perceived that way if you miss read post directed at you, which it feels you have. As for Sant Jee talking about Hindus being hindus and so on, dont try to polarise that statement, that still stands today.

Theres a reason Guru Har Gobind shaib brought up that muslim child, Muslim, from a young age to show to people its not about what religion you belong, you are still loved by Vaheguru regardless.

  11. @ anyone thinks self sacrifice is anti gurmat

    http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Saaka_Punja_Sahib,_True_Story

Also if anyone knows the of the story with the Singh who was running from Mughal asked a kiln owner for a safe place to stay, jokingly he said if you faith in your guru hide in the already Lit Brick kiln, which he did without a second thought.

  12. Would you call that 'greedy'? I'd say that's being ambitious even ruthlessly ambitious to push yourself as far as you can to succeed, but as long as that ruthlessness doesn't negatively affect anybody else.

Kaljug say it doesn't effect others but corrupts your consciousness is that greediness still excepteble, as for the _Anon_ thats a contradiction to your original answer because of the Gurbani I linked and also 2. short sighted as associating with the Punj Choor guarantees pain and bad things in your life.

All Gurbani wants from you is to win vs the Punj choor (Kaam, Kroad, Loub, Mou, Hankar) As only this person can go back to his true home and emancipate himself from life and death

  13. Response to message from 'Guest'... I am not a child I am fully aware of how many hours there are in the day. I find your response to my post insensitive. I am not sure what you think I am asking for... but i certainly don't think its unachievable. It seems to me some people see things very differently to me... if you want a good job it must be for the money or some sort of self centred reason which as I have said repeatedly is not the case... I left my job to pursue this career, I have not had a wage since last summer... this is not about "me"...

Mods I think it's time to close this thread please. I really don't appreciate the negativity.

    Thanks.

Didnt think that the little negativity that you recived would have put you off so much.

  14. This is massive, for the state to say they committed mass murders and people at that time tried cover it up, just opens Pandoras box, for tens if not hundreds of court cases, though it makes me think why now have they come clean, is it because to ease the unrest it in Punjab or because sending police out again would just be disastrous for india due to the unorganised task force which is the Punjab police

  15. I think its all in your mind. Sometimes we start looking for answers as to why certain things happen and try to link it to other events. Probably just a coincidence.

Nope.. as gurbani says you take 1 step towards guru he takes 100,000 towards you, the step gurbani talks about is a spirtual one, not just going to the gurdwara, but at the same time Kaal/punj choor up there game to stop you from following this path, remember the only reason we are here is to win this game

  16. There are plenty of examples in gurmat of self sacrifice given on this same topic(buddhist monk self immolation) that was discussed not long go http://www.sikhsanga...-for-the-cause/ . People need to research further before its claiming its against gurmat. I have provided plenty of examples in that thread, try to make other understand..at this point i don't have energy-

I totally agree with you baji, its just funny how people try to even judge that monk, i washing my hand and the water burnt me and i had to pull my hand back because it was so painfull, that made me think of that video you uploaded, man that nearly had me in tears. I think people are just to narrow minded to see the power in that munk to give his life for his cause,

As for sikh related storys of sikhs given there lives like this, have people forgot when singnia and children sat on the train tracks to stop with singhs who hadent eaten for days, or that gur sikh who asked for shelter and the man pointed at a furnace and said if you have faith in your guru jump in to the furnace.

  17. I ran this through a translator and this is what it came up with....

Good day, sirs! My dear compadre has just procured himself an automated nicotine delivery system which, quite remarkably, contains no tobacco! As it is bereft of such carcinogenic additives, it must surely be acceptable to toke, would you not agree? I myself chose to partake of this modern delight and found it to carry a very palatable hint of strawberries, though my reservations are whether it is wholly appropriate to imbibe this concoction, given my religious convictions. Would you concur?

    That sounds about right.

    Haha Epic Win

  18. I have the same problem, once every three months it comes back. I try to bhagti and when it feels like its gone it comes back, i can't seem to wake up Amrit Vela anymore which makes me feel like not doing Nitnem because i feel like a faliure to Guru Sahib and very sad like heart broken like i got no more Amrit in me, i'm trying to train myself back being a gursikh again and i will take pesh when i fully am, is this alright.

Yea Baji thats the cycle, once we stop doing Simran then Kaal/Punj Choor slowly start creeping back in, its not a cycle that cant be broken, with Gurus grace once you have come to the stage of no involuntary thoughts Guru shaib Bakshish you with Naam and other gifts which Cement your State of mind, and with guidance from Gur Mukhs you can pass in to Vahegurus desh, to find a Gur Mukh that has a practical jevean who speaks and see's Vaheguru is the hardest thing to find in this world, Guru shiab says there are 1 in 100,000,000

  19. Thank u veero, so saying to panj 'metho kaam di galti hogi' covers the masturbation sin? Will they know what i mean?

As i said the problem isnt the Act of masturbation, the underlining problem is Kaam, the punj piaaria should be able to give you a quick fix to solve this problem. So you dont end up making the same mistakes again.
