This should not come as a big suprise. At the moment knife crime is out of control in London. Anyone regadless of their religion, ethnicity or race can become a victim. It does not matter what religion you are, be it Sikh, Hindu, Muslim. With the current state of the UK. anyone can get stabbed if your in the wrong area and the wrong time.
I remember when I was a teen. It was quite rough then but now its just got worse. We need more detterant for these mindles acts of violence and crime. Politicians dont have any answers.

What are the best type of white people/races/cultures? From my experience of the English white people. I would say they must be the most uncultured and bland. I dont mean this is a derogative way. But the experience I have had of let say of Italian, Spanish or even Scottish. Is that they seem to be more cultured and nicer people. Wheras the english seem to be so dull and many can be a bit racist and ignorant.
Other issues I have found with white English is they lack a good sence of humour, are quite dull and lack respect for other races. Just look at the Euro 2021. All other european nations fans behaved so well. But we had the trashy english supporters being troublesome by getting drunk and creating all kinds of havoc. Are the English the worst bunch of Europe? Sometimes I feel ashamed of the the home nation of England and its people.

Parchaar is not about "converting" pursue. Its about rasing awareness of the Gurus message. If people choose to convert thats completley up to them. But we should always be ready to raise awarness about Sikhi which can be done alongside sikh events. In Sikhi we dont have this notion that somone can only be saved through Sikh religion.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
Often times I hear Non-Sikhs bring up common arguments against Sikhi, and as someone who likes to create a lot online resource hubs for Sikhs, I am taking it upon myself to create a list of Q/A's.
I recently got a series of arguments (posing as questions) from an anonymous user on the Sikh Reddit who was allegedly Ex-Sikh. He frequently made references to Islam, and also claimed that he had done a lot of research on his "questions", yet the questions themselves seem as if they are taken from wikipedia or some anti-sikh site.
Here are some of the arguments I would like to debunk:
Q: If Sikhi is against the Caste System, then why are their Caste based Gurdwara's?
A: Anyone can just create a "Gurdwara" and install their own beliefs into it, that doesn't make it valid. The key part here is that this cannot be supported by the actual theology of Sikhi, and all the main Gurdwara's still allow people of lower-caste to enter. All of these so called "caste Gurdwara's" are also not backed by the Akal Takth, and are not recognized by the Khalsa Panth.
Q: Why were the Gurus themselves all from the Khatri caste and married within their own caste despite preaching against such barriers?
A: The very premise of this question is incorrect, Guru isnt from the Khatri caste becuase the concept of caste itself is invalid. There is no evidence to suggest that caste was involved in the marrage decision, and neither was any proposal rejected due to caste.
Furthermore, the Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji itself contains writings from people of different "castes" and backgrounds. When the Guru created the Khalsa Panth, the Panj Pyare were from different occupations, locations, and families, the entire concept of the Khalsa itself destroys the caste system. If the Guru was secretly supporting the caste sustem, he would have not created the Khalsa and passed on the Guruship. Gurbani itself is the Guru, and its anti-caste message is very clear, but it's some food for thought.
Q: How about the succession of the Gurus? How do we go from the 4 first being chosen by merit and from different lineage, then suddenly it turns into a system of monarchy resulting in the succession of Guru Harkrishan Ji at such a young age who also passed away at a young age.
A: "Nepotism" is defined as: The practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs.
A lot of people like to accuse the Guru of being Nepotistic, and use it to bring down Sikhi by stating the successors of the Guru were not truly worthy of the title. The next Guru was never chosen on the basis of nepotism, and was always chosen based on Merit, the Guru tested each of his followers to see if they were worthy of the title of Guru. We are all just vessels filled with the same light, "family" is an illusion, we are all One.
Although some of the Gurus did pass the Guruship on to their human sons, many did not, and even if they did, it was becuase their sons just happened to pass the test.If Sikhi allowed Nepotism, then why didnt Guru Nanak Dev Ji or many of the other Guru's pass it on to their children? Guru Nanak could have easily made Sri chand or Lakhmi Das the next Guru, the same applies with Guru Gobind Singh ji who did not have to let any of his sons sacrifice themselves for Sikhi, and could have asked them to not give Shaheedi. The fact that Guru Gobind Singh Ji established the Khalsa in 1699 before the death of all his human offsprings shows that he was going to stop the line of Human Guru's anyways. The ultimate argument against nepotism in Sikhi is the fact that the Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji & the Khalsa Panth were made the eternal Guru. Hypothetically, even if the Guruship was passed down based solely on Nepotism, I would have no problem with it becuase it is the Guru's decision and looking back at history and how each Guru lives his life, I can say the Guru made the perfect decision.
As for Guru Harkrishan Ji, the reason the Guru chose the vessel of a young boy was to show that spirituality isnt affected by age, and even a child can attain liberation. The reason Guru Harkrishan Ji physically passed away at such a young age was to exemplify shaheedi, it makes no sense for the Guru to go around curing other people of small pox, yet die from it himself.
Q: why has Sikhi remained confined for the most part to the Punjabi population?
A: Sikhs dont go out and actively convert people like people of Abrahamic theologies do, the Sikh community is also generally very young compared to others. This issue is already starting to change, there are already hubs of non-punjabi Sikhs thriving in places like America, Indonisia, UK, Canada, etc, and we just need time.
Q: Why did/are some Sikhs converting to other religions, if Sikhi is supreme, then why would people leave it?
A: The message itself is supreme, but the people themselves are not. The argument of people leaving/joining a certain religion can be made for any group. The larger abrehamic religions are the ones that generally have a higher turnover rate compared to easter Dharams.
Q: why hasn’t history seen Gurus with a similar message in the West or other corners of the world?
A: There are other people with similar messages, there's even some new relgion in the west called "Eckankar" which is very similar to Sikhi on certain aspects. Gurbani also contains Bani from a lot of people who lived before the physical arrival of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who's Bani is inline with Gurmat.
Q: Why is Gurbani repetitive?
A: I dont know if your reading the english translation or something, but in Gurmukhi the way certain words are used has a different meaning depending on the context. Furthermore, Gurbani is also multilayered, and speaks to the mind during its different states. As for repetitiveness in message, it's important becuase Humans learn from repetition, when you were a child, your parents had to constantly call you by your name so you remember it, etc.
Gurbani is not like the abrehamic texts, it is not divided by chapters, but rather by Music. Gurbani does not have dedicated sections for certain topics, becuase as a Sikh our job is not to pick and choose what we want to learn, the Guru teaches us what we need, and the format Gurbani is written in ensures its multi layered and speaks to different people at different stages in their spiritual journey.
The fact that there are other Bhagats whose Bani is inline with the Guru, reinforces the Oneness of the message of Sikhi.
Q: Why did the Gurus have multiple wives? At least with Islam there is a specific guidelines prescribed, a lot of Sikhs like to argue based on emotion rather than historical evidence.
A: The narrative that the Gurus were polygamists is highly contestable on the basis of historical analysis, not emotion.
"The story of Guru Har Rai having married seven wives, who were all sisters, is found only in one MS of Suraj Prakash and is written on unpaged leaves which are clearly an interpolation. Unfortunately this copy became the basis of the editions nowadays in vogue. Other copies mention only one marriage. Mahima Prakash, which is much older than this book, also mentions only one wife. See on this point the annotation of Bhai Vir Singh on Suraj Prakash" -Dr. Ganda Singh, Baba Teja Singh; 'A Short History of the Sikhs,' vol. i, pg. 48.
Here is a good post discussing this issue
As for Islam, providing specific guidelines, I hope you realize that it also provides guidelines to beat ones wife, among many other things...
Q: Why so much debate over a simple matter of canon scriptures (the Dasam Granth which oddly enough contains 2 of the prayers forming the Nitnem)
A: There isnt "so much" debate over this. the Anti-Dasam granth crowd is a vocal minority, and the Dasam Granth is accepted by the Khalsa Panth as a whole, and even backed by the Akal Takth. Furthermore, the Debate that does happen isnt about the nitnem banis from Dasam Granth (Jaap Sahib, Tav Prasad Savaiye, Chaupai Sahib).
Overall, Sikhs have still preserved their scriptures far better than many others, and the Quran itself was never even written down by Muhammad, Jesus never wrote the Bible, etc...
Q: Why is there such a controversy over vegetarianism vs meat eating? Why didnt the Guru lay our a clear guideline?
A: This wasn't really an issue before the start of the modern day meat industry, but we as a community have turned it into an issue. Sikhs historically ate meat, this is a fact, the reason there is a big vegetarian movement in the Sikh community is mainly due to the modern day meat industry and the idea that Sikhs dont really need meat anymore becuase they have so many more alternatives. As for the actual theology regarding this issue, its already clearly laid out by the Guru: Sikhs are to refrain from Halal Meat, if a Sikhs is to hunt or eat meat, then they must follow the Jhatka Maryada set up by the Guru.
More information and sources can be found at jhatkamaryada.com
Q: Why are Sikhs encouraged to be critical thinkers, yet told not to ask questions?
A: People are getting two concepts confused: its ok to question the Guru similar to how a student questions a teacher, however its discouraged to question for the sake of trying to create an arguement or disruption.
Final Thoughts
A deep underlying issue that motivates a lot of these arguments is the idea that if Sikhi is true, then why would it not also temporally reign supreme, and why would "bad things" happen to Sikhs if they are morally correct? The answer to this is the simply: Hukam, and the fact that "good" and "bad" dont really exist. However, the issue here is that others will see this as a cop out. I am interested in developing a more indepth response to this strain of thought. Any recommendations?

During COVID, we all saw how various Sikhs and Sikh NGOs came forward to help people of all religions, castes, etc as its our belief to do so. Delhi gurudwara donated gold and silvers worth crores to build hospital and recently inaugurated free hundred bed dialysis center. Good. Very Good.
But where all these charity goes when sikhs in punjab themselves are suffering due to daily farmers suicides, families destroyed due to fake encounters, drugs, poor employment opportunities, immigration, etc.
When we are in trouble, nobody comes to help. Not even our own and nor the ones whom we helped. Normal educated people dont even want to discuss the solutions of these problems. Ofcourse, we have Khalsa Aid, but it can only contribute an iota of whats required.
Its like our own house is on fire but we are rushing to see if our neighbors need any help.
Our leaders were all puppets who worked at behest of our enemies. Even they cheated us.
Are Sikhs addicted to appeasing "others" at their own cost.
When Sikhs do these chartiable acts like you mentioned. Its good for the Sikh image. Many people are drawn to the Sikh religion buy these generous acts. Sikhs should always be ready to help everyone. This is actually a way of doing parchaar.

I have not been interested in doing a regular 9.5 type job.Hhowever but was more interested in business opportunies in Europe. Such as opening a shop/retail outlet. Anyone know or done this or is it to complicated?
Countries I was thinking of was Poland, Holland, Spain as they seem to be decent european countries

Standing up and for ur comrades in arms is also a good quality, that turns to peer pressure and cowardiceness.
But its not only police who are guilty of it. Moh attacks everyone. People will lie to protect their family, their cult, their religion and their brothers in arms.
In fact, thats what happened in panjab during kharkoo (militant) times. If you read Khalistan by cynthia mehmoud, that was the only crime she could find done by sikh seperatists. That one sikh would take bombs into crowded marketplaces to kill hindus, and none of the members of his team condemned him. She asked them if it was wrong to kill innocents, they said yes. But they wouldn't comdemn him. They said he is one of ours, a brother.
Panjabi Sikh people will be the last to support any ideological movement. Because they have suffered from ideology alot. First in 1947, they were promised a better nation, just for sikhs. And how many innocent sikhs got butchered? Then in 1984 to 1995, while the kharkhoos and rebels enjoyed glorius shaheedis, it was the common folk who suffered dehydration, curfews, torture, army rule, becoming orphans and a loss of economy. Most sikhs at heart are secularist and scared stiff of religious ideologues who can ignite another doomed revolution and entice their children to early death.
That is why most sikh people judge movements by their effect on the common people not their ideology. It doesnt matter what equalities are promised,.what wrongs will be righted, look at the actions.
So to sikhs, BLM is terrible. It comes for their businesses and livelihood. And one cant even try to defend against the looters:
https://anncoulter.com/2020/09/23/innocent-until-proven-trump-supporterxxxx/
Thats the general panjabi thought about BLM.
Heres mine: i support Black Lives Matter Too. That was the original name by the founders. I think it makes a lot more sense.
Also im after the truth, but between the nbc and cbc whitewashing and fox news fearmongering, its hard to know whats true. I dont want to be lead by the mainstream media which is supporting ppl like biden, using all this unrest to paint trump bad. Its been wrong about the russian fraud, to trump impeachement to so many things. They have been calling the protest peaceful.
Big games are afoot and i dont want to be a pawn. First the media was like social distancing. Shut down gurudware and churches. Then they allow and encourage ppl to attend these huge protests.which even though they included looting and burning were called peaceful. They wont condemn anything, even though many videos show black people angry cuz their kids got shot and killed, their businesses looted. One one sided narrative is being pushed and of anyone even criticizes a little bit they are canceled with shouts of racism.
So while i support BLMT, i wont let that turn me into a passive bystander. Its not only the end that matters, its also the means to get there. Anyone can commit crimes under a movement, so be vigilant. A protest can easily be turned into a mob. And a mob is dangerous especially if it inevitably goes to loot rich places. As sikhs are rich, and have businesses and big houses, they can be a target. As the koreans were in LA riots. Nobody supported the koreans. The media and artists celebrated the rioters. But the koreans who had to defend their homes and stores with guns were all alone during the riots and the damages too.
Also the rodney king riots, did they solve anything?
Will these protests? In the beginning BLM was smart. They knew doing peaceful protests werent gonna do anything. Ppl and governmwnts only pay attention when property is involved. So they were smart, they tartgeted police departments, governemnt buildings.and even big stores were ok. And in war and big movements sometimes bystanders get hurt. I mean it was the sikhs tweeting 17 better 10,000 in support of rajoana. That the 17 bystanders killed in suicide bombing by rajoana was good because the guy who was killed wouldve killed many more sikhs. So i understand if some innocents get killed or some sikh businesses looted. What i dont like about BLM is thats its becoming cult like. The media wont report anything true about riots vs peaceful protests or anything negative, and if anyone is critical they are canceled. These are not just fox news talking points i have noticed it. Shutting down disagreements, hiding the truth is leading to propaganda and authoritarianism. That is more worrisome than racism.

Black and brown get down bro. I'm not sure what part of my socieities violence you think I'm ignorant of. I study it. I participate in it.
Fact is the word thug comes into english from India...wait Hindustan..oh that means land of thieves...hmm... what's were you called before being imperialized by white supremacy? Before being forced to speak english? Before being so stupid you talk about black on black crime but not white crime on all of us?
If you go the rez... it's all red on red crime bro. Doesn't mean the real criminal isn't the white imperial racists that guns germed and steeled them onto it. Doesn't mean the rez isn't fully controlled by racist imperial policies and peace treaties that get broken to this day. They cut the limbs off poeple for a shorter gas pipeline just a few years back.
Is not Punjab..inhabited by Punjabis...have Punjabi police and politicians? And yet there is all this brown on brown crime still. You know how many Sikhs have been shot and stabbed in Punjab? And yet this problem still persists...
From my personal experience all over this country black, brown and asian get on just fine. Thry just can't stand racists or weak cowards which is why a few of you might run into trouble.
The all lives matter movement is the shut up n***** you life don't matter movent. Only an ostrich could regurgitate such poorly cooked media fed race politics out of their only exposed end.
Actually you will find most america as being segrated on lines of race. Asians in one area blacks in other area. What is your opinion on george floyd?

What is it with these protests. Regarding the police shooting of a black man. Where these protests justified or going over the top? On one hand you have innocent blacks being arrested by the police for no reason. Then you have other type who are going over the top without good reason.

There is no evidence that the person was a Sikh in the first place, just because a YouTube channel with less than 2000 subscribers posts a video like this doesn't mean it's true, also, even if it is real, why get triggered by it, if the guy actually converted than maybe he wasn't really into Sikhi anyway, either way, it looks fake as hell to me.
It is true or not is not the issue. It's the fact that these videos are being posted in the first place. It's a direct threat. Ie trying to say that Sikhism is not true faith and then saying how islam is true by this fake testimony.
We can't let things like this slide. Next there maybe hundreds of these fake videos.
We need to report them. I actually have come across this person's face before. Seems like a strategy to try and gain Sikh converts.

I was on youtube the other day just browsing like normal. But then I randomly decided to do a search on Sikhism to see the latest videos posted using the filter button.
Anyways I came across this newly posted video of a so called Sikh guy who "converted" to Islam and he makes his "testimony". I have not even watched the video to be honest. But its disturbing to see this kind of ant sikh videos. ie trying to gain more followers by using this guy to promote Islam.
Anyone know about this? I only came across it a few days ago. seems like something very new.

what if they support sharia law in your neighbourhood
what is they love the mughals that killed our people?
what if they believe non muslims are bad and going to hell

can you really be friends with someone like this?

One shouldn't have hate for any one because of their religion. On the individual level it's not wise to say someone is bad because he is a Muslim. I've personally known many Muslims who have been very nice people.
Having said that, one should also not be an SJW. That's the mindset we need to avoid having. SJW types are increasing among Sikhs. They don't want to listen to the truth.
It's not about hating. Because hate (krodh) is one of the five vices to avoid. It's about making a simple decision to avoid unnecessary contact with people of a faith who are essentially not good human beings and wish harm on non Muslims aswell as with many other negative traits that their religion preaches.
Now I don't buy the whole.
' I know some good Muslims'. Well there maybe some liberal and open minded ones. I knew a couple also that left Islam. These type are definantly the good ones.
Just came across this video btw. Not sure if anyone has tiktok on their phone. But this pretty much sums up the strange mindset of some Sikhs.

Indian Muslims are okay but I don’t like Pakistani ones.
I had a Bengali Muslim friend but a Pakistani broke us up and told him not to befriend Sikhs (this happened at school).
All Muslims are the same and should not be befriended. Why befriend the people (faith) that massacred your ancestors? Unless your trying to be one of them goody two shoes Sikhs that likes to view whole race as one.
I remember at college this Muslim was told not to hang around with us Punjabis. At the time I thought what the hell. But as you get older. You start to realise. That Muslims have this is 'us' against them mentality. Ie they view you as the enemy. While we got people trying to appease them.
If you can get a Muslim to follow Sikhism then that is a different thing. I knew a Bengali Muslim who became Sikh.
But having a Muslim as a friend is not a good idea unless they want to become a Sikh.

Muslims invaders in India massacred millions of our people. Burnt down Gurdwaras and temples and replaced them with mosques.
Forcibly converted and tortured millions into converting to Islam.
Yet we Sikhs and Hindus are told to be friendly with Muslims. Ie wish them a happy Ramadan. Become friends with them. Build them mosques.
Yet after all they did. We Sikhs are suppose to pretend like nothing happened and forget the past.
I will go by saying I have never had a single Muslim friend. I don't see these people as friends but enemy's and will never forget the atrocities committed to our people.
Yet I see in university's, colleges and work places. Sikhs befriending them. Are these people not a utter discrace? That they are befriending these people.
Some foolish Sikhs even start relationships with these people.
As the saying goes. Treat people the way they treat you.
Yet I have come across so many videos on YouTube and other social media platforms. Were we have discraceful Sikhs embracing Muslims and saying we love Muslims.
What has the world come to in this day and age?

As Guru Nanak Sahib ji says in gurbani. you'll harvest the seeds you sow. So if we spread and sow the seeds of sikhi far into the earths field sooner or later the harvest of new Sikhs will emerge.
Clash is inevitable those who are wise can see the signs and prepare. Jews, Muslims and Christians are always waiting for Armageddon awaiting that final clash of clashes where their own chosen group will be saved while the rest will perish. So they are always alert to future clashes with non-believers. Hindu's generally are pretty relaxed only act when the conflict storm is upon them. And us Sikhs generally come very late to the party with the storm already having ravaged us without preparations. It was only in 1947 did our people begin to prepare on early for what was to come and managed to save a large population of Sikhs from getting annihilated with racist british white imperialists and their congress and islamic stooges plans to finish our people in the partition genocide of punjab but we against all odds survived. And again they conspired and tried in 1984 and our peoples preparations were very late and very limited otherwise a devastating blow could have landed on the indian parliament and army had enough indian sikh soldiers defected on early to the dharmi sikh rebels side. Us Sikhs need to develop the science and study of future signs and trends. self proclaimed Islamic scholars do this very well at the moment guiding their flock. Sikhs scholars used to have this ability in puritan times but no there is no mainstream Sikh person doing it.
Pakistan is a good ripe ground for Sikh sphere of influence if Sikhs play their cards right they can win many converts from the sufi muslim community. Many pakistani muslim families who have ancestry of Sikh heritage are pretty open minded to Sikhi as long as sikhs maintain a love for pakistan they can bring them closer to Sikhi. The pakistani hindu sindhi's are very pro-sikh in their outlook. the pakistani christians are mostly of poorer dalit hindu and sikh ancestry who were forced to convert to christianity to save themselves from musilm mobs in 1947 as they weren't economic rich enough to travel to safety. They too can be guided to become Sikhs.
As for europe the white ethno nationalists will clash with rising islamic demographic sooner or later thats if the muslims do not reform islam and islamic culture to blend into the mainstream european culture as the Jews did centuries ago. Andres breveik the white freemason nationalist terrorist who murdered 70+ people in norway, wrote a manifesto titled 2083 which states how european whites will fight back against the non-whites especially the muslims to win back europe. Everyone thought he is a mass murderer crackhead a nutjob a far right extremist loonie. Yes he is alll that but he is also a forecaster he does have the ability to see how islamic numbers will rise and the inevitable political demands will start more violence will occur and then the eventual civil war fight will start as it happened in the yugoslav balkans war and in serbia with kosovo. Even if a natural clash doesn't happen the rich atheist capitalist elites will want and fund a clash between peoples as it will suit their purposes to blame other people for problems the public face while they secretly rule from above.
Good points. Sikhi could become the next big religion of the world. But we lack the infrastructure and parchaar to do it.
Our Sikhs would rather just sit and listen to shabads. instead of getting off their backside and onto the streets spreading the faith.
Sikhs really need to be galvanised into a militant force.
Similar to the Jews. Who are have great scientists building state of the art weapons. Ready to defend their land.

Bringing back to the original question, you can definitely see on the Gurdwara lists that there are many more over 30s than under, for boys and girls.
Being a guy, one of the biggest problems I've seen is caste. No matter if all the other criteria match, the caste always seems to come in the way. I honestly hope that this is wiped out before the next generation.
Another thing I've seen is people (especially girls) being scared of commitment. They still want to "find themselves" and find someone on the "same wavelength" as them, whatever that means. It's almost as if they've got their heads in some Disneyland cloud, waiting for their prince charming or something. Real life does not work that way.
Know who you are, what you do and don't want, and what you can and can't compromise on. And draw up a criteria.
And for God's sake talk to your parents! I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've come across girls who have not discussed caste or any marriage related topic with their parents. If two people start getting to know each other and build a relationship, but when the parents find out they have some kind of problem with caste etc. what you gonna do about it? Stand your ground or break the guys heart? So please get all this stuff ironed out before you play the grown up games, otherwise just sit on the side lines like the rest of the kids.
That is the thing. Our lot are still trying to find themselves.
When Muslims have already found themselves and have about 5 kids. But the time they are 32..
It's time our lot made the plunge and tied the knot alot sooner instead of being afraid of marriage.

That is very true. But there is little chance of those plans being implemented. When we have Sikhs that go around pedaling the if your a "hindu be a good Hindu. If your a muslim be a good muslim".
Sikhs cant even organise any kind of parchaar or info on Sikhi right outside the Golden temple. It has taken an outside organisation such as Basics of Sikhi. To come up with a idea to build something so many non Sikhs can learn about the faith as they visit.
