  1. I agree with MrDoaba paaji it sounds like your prep work is amazing. Do not rush into or feel pressured by anyone to take Amrit. Read and understand what Maharaj is trying to tell you everyday through hukamnaama and you'll know exactly when the time is right. Waheguru's kirpa brother!

  2. Like humkire said, he should seek therapy.

However, you want to know what you can do as a friend.

    It's the holiday season.

There are homeless shelters and charities working for the less fortunate.

You should both go and volunteer yourselves.

Perhaps helping people less fortunate than him, will show him that God has not forsaken him.

    Brilliant suggestion brother!

  3. Can anyone give an explanation on what and whatfor and also can you all stop posting links to FB as a number of us don't have accounts, but would like to be included in the "cool kids circle" :-P

Ps. I do agree that we should remove the p*ki from the title. Hammer this is in no way directed at you my brother, but I think we should have more honour in our battles, even if it is just a battle of words as we are the Sikhs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj.

  4. Watching that is amazing, yet he is not doing something amazing,,he is just doing something he can- and which we all should-..Which is give!!

People like that make me feel ashamed of myself, and I realise what a loser i really am.

I try to be as much gurmat in my daily living as i can, but I don't give enough. I may see a homeless only once a week and even then I have to pause and hesitate to think ''How much change shall I give!''

I know that if I drive downtown some miles, I will see many homeless. BUT do I really have the courage to bring one of them home and feed them as well as offering them the use of bath and shower ??

I should be ashamed because we have 4 bathrooms with showers here and some are not ever used!

-It's difficult, but it makes me really think about it!

I know exactly how you feel my brother. But remember its not just about homeless people, it's also about the young, the elderly and the vulnerable, where we can put our Waheguru given gurmat principles in to action. We must always lead by example and let Gursikhi flow through every fabric of our being. I'll give you an example of something that happened to me last week, which left the 2 white brothers in my car in total shock. I was driving to the DIY store with my builders, when I noticed the bus 2 cars in front of me had just blatantly driven passed an old lady with her arm out. So I stopped and ran up to her and asked, "did that bus just drive passed you" to which she replied yes, that's the second one now. I was so upset that my first intention was to chase the bus and go and tell the driver what for! But then I thought what would Guru sahib tell me to do now, so I told her to jump in and I drove her to her destination, which was completely in the opposite direction and about 10 miles away from where I was originally going. The point of this example is not to boost my ego or make myself out to be some sort of saint (because Guru sahib alone noes how flawed I am) but it is to, show how leading by example and how the people that sometimes need our help are just on our day to day journey and that we can continually make a difference in everything we do. Needless to say the 2 gora paaji's were left in amazement at what Guru's teachings can make their disciples do :-)

  5. Both of my cousins wives, who were Muslims converted to Sikhi, for reasons not too dissimilar to yours. Remember though, Sikhi is not just about a single point! it's about your actions, intentions and the entire journey and what you do along the way :-)

    Wahegurus kirpa

  6. I think that the only way to make a difference is to say an Ardaas in front of Maharaj and then put your hands in to those deep pockets of yours and go to the everythings13 virgin donation site and give generously on a monthly basis... So many people chat blah blah blah, but very few let their actions speak silently for them!

May Waheguru's kirpa keep you in Chardhi kala Jugraj Singh ji

  7. My dearest sister _weird feelings_First of all I am extremely proud and happy that you are so much into Sikhi with such great love for raagis, shaheeds, and chardikela people, and love listening to kirtan from raagis and AKJ, Sikh history, bairaag shabads etc, and that you pray and do simran. You are so so lucky because this is what we all really come for in this world, to get into Sikhi and get very very close to Gurujee. I hope you will become an ambassador for Sikhi and let so many more people know about Sikhi.I can picture and kinda understand what you are going through, which is also making you feel impatient, and lacking the energy to do shopping or eating, and one minute happy one minute down, and almost depressed and as you said you cry easily over things. I understand that you are apprehensive of going to a doctor who might just ask you to drink more water! hehe.Sister, as Gurbani says nothing is perfect except God. So sometimes in our body and brain we may lack a certain chemical because our human body and our human brain is like a very complicated machine with so so many moving parts and there are hundreds of chemicals our body and brain has to produce and use. So sometimes a tiny drop in a chemical in our body or brain can cause us to feel weird, anxious etc. One of my friends had slightly too much of a hormone called the thyroid hormone in his body and that made him feel angry very fast, and so tired and his eyes started popping out big. But the doctor managed to sort it out.It is possible that there could be a little lack of some chemical somewhere in the brain or body and this can also make you cry easily even though you are not emotional person or take away your energy, make you restless, impatient etc. So, please do go to your doctor and you can print out what you typed here and my answer and show him and see what he says. Tell him rightaway you do not want to be asked to drink just more water. Tell him you would like some tests done and a proper detailed assessment and investigation. He may refer you to a specialist which is good too. As a result of this assessment he may decide you need to take certain medication which will help you to feel better such as eating and sleeping better and less crying easily and less anxious. This will help the quality of your life and help you even pray and do simran better because your tears are not getting in the way. If the doctor does prescribe you medicines then a) always take them and b) tell him is there another way so in the long term you would prefer not to take medicine all your life. One of my friends, his body just cannot make enough vitamin D so he has to take a vitamin D tablet everyday all his life which is not a bad thing anyway because vitamin is a very important vitamin. Another person I know has severe diabetes so they got no choice but to take diabetes medicine everyday. So dont worry too much about this. We all have our little problems and doctors can help us bcause they are our friends who understand about our bodies and brain very well.I pray to Gurujee to bless you in very way my dearest sister, and to stay in great chardikela and be successful.

    Lovely post my brother. Waheguru

  8. Kully give it a rest bro. Like you said before, I think its best you come away from the computer and concentrate on your jeevan my brother. FYI from my spending time in his akara and around him, I can confirm that surjit is not good for anyones jeevan (just take a look at the actions of his so called students and then hold what they say and do against the infallible litmus test that is Gurbani). Shastar Vidiya is only a stupid man waving a sword around if you don't have the Guru, Naam and seva to go along side it. And don't forget SV is not exclusive to one man and does not limit itself to a certain period or time, so do make sure you have all aspects of the vidiya including the mighty weapon that is the PEN!

"in fact ive said before i agree with the majority of taran0 posts" - So to be clear majority, can mean NOT ALL. Please clarify what parts of Bhai Taran ji's website or posts you do not agree with so that we can get him to help you see the light?

  9. Seriously, people like Kully and Cisco really make me laugh. Brothers, I would go and see a doctor if I was you, because there seems to be some major inconsistancy in your posts, I think you might have a brain defect! Everyone can see yours and your so called gurdev's agenda nice and clearly. Only a dimwhit would buy surjits cow turd and only someone who was dropped on their head would try to pass off that cow turd and what he's doing as legit Sikh maryada.

There are plenty of nadars "punch bags" on this forum, so please run and tell baba black sheep surjit to counter all of bhai Taran's points, start clarifying the points made on his website and to either accept or refuse his challange to an open/filmed debate.

And FYI stop trying to make people go and challange surjit at his classes, bacause we're not in the school yard anymore lads! Plus snakes like him, who waste tax payers monies by make false calls to the likes on CTU and concockting jackanory stories about cars getting shot up have been around for along time and everyone is wise to their tactics.

SURJIT YOU ARE GOING TO NEED TO GET UP A LOT EARLIER TO GET ONE OVER ON THE SANGAT MATE!
