  1. Sat Sri Akal Ji

i can't share here AMRIT experience coz i didn't take it .in fact i don't want.I don't love GOD. i want to do SIMRAN + SEVA.but i don't want to take amrit.i am not ready for it.even i know the value of AMRIT.without AMRIT u never be acceptable at GURU'S door.

Sometime when i listen to GURBANI.I forgot myself into GURBANI.i forgot all the world where i am.and sometimes i got tears into my eyes to do CHOPAI SAHIB JI.every time i see into my heart i didn't find love for GURU JI.just i scared from GURU JI.even my faith on ARDAAS completely broken.

I don't know why i want to do PATH + SEVA.if i don't do PATH morning time JAPJI SAHIB JI. i abuse myself.why i don't do path.lot of times i done PATH into my dreams.even i smoke drink and i don't keep my hair.

SAAD SANGAT ji told me many times to do AARDAAS.how can i do ARDAAS if i don't believe into ARDAAS.and as well my heart don't want to do ARDAAS.

how can i take AMRIT.it's far far away from me.so if i don't take amrit so GURUR JI punish me.he already punished me a lot.so why u all called him GURU JI always pity.i never seen into my life.

    Singh, Don't worry too much.

Questions could be good cos it shows that you wanna change, but it can also be bad as your mind waivers from thinking about the good things gurbani teaches us.

You say god (waheguru) doesn't love you! Singh OFCOURSE waheguru does, just have faith and build that relationship in anyway you can, sewa, sangat, or even simran.

Smoking and drinking is your choice, you will know what to do once you feel that love. Simran is wikid keep it up.

keep ya self around true sikhs. and try listening to more kirtan, or dhadi's... whatever inspires you in your own way.

everyone waivers from time to time unless we are solid in our rehit or a mahapursh. practice makes perfect.

and don't beat yaself up too much.

  2. Ok, Mum and Dad recently got my card made so I could vote for which commitee to elect. And I was like ok :6

I thought who do I vote for? Most of the members are old men and don't represent the youth, and thinking about it; nor do they represent the Bibia, so i dunno who they vote for?

I've heard that sometimes the commitees only give cards to selected people to who they think will vote for them. this true ?

Anyone care to Raise some light on the issue.

  3. a Bana is quite hard to get hold of in the UK, can't just go to the Gurdwara and buy one. Need to get it made to measure back home.

That's no excuse, you're jus bein lazy lol ... there's plenty of shops out there as well as online

Also if you live in a majority white area where they don't know much about sikhi, the ignorant people are just gonna think its osama bin laden in a dress!

who cares??? be proud of what you are and stand up for who you are, guroo jee's khaalsaa! cuz in that case we gta take our dastaar's off and cut our daari's, but no we aint gna do that, not now not ever! we should go crazy biggin up guroo jee's uniform and carryin around as much shastar as possible (makin sure u dont break the law either) we need to show the world who we are!

Lool, Phaaji your right, I am being lazy. But I wouldn't know the first thing about wearing a bana. What sizes do they come in? And online? list of websites quick... and where do you buy your's from? how to tell a good quality bana, from not so good. And... material, with this english weather ya gonna need a thick one for the winter with leg warmers, which are coming back into fashion. lol

Kesh katal is deep, and makes me feel sick. :6

same with shastar. there's not many skilled sikh sword makers in the uk! most of the stuff comes from back home?

  5. The myth that hair are alive and nails are not is not true.

If I understand it they are made by the same substance -

Quote from Wiki on hair -

The primary component of hair fiber is keratin. Keratins are proteins: long chains (polymers) of amino acids.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair

    About nails -

Anatomically fingernails and toenails, which are made of a tough protein called keratin and are produced from living skin cells in the fingers and toes, are made up of many different parts:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nail_%28anatomy%29

Yes Wiki isn't the best source, but if you want to look deeper into it you can; but they're essentially made out of the same substance - that one is "alive" and the other is "dead" is nonsense.

The entire hair (except the part under the skin - follicle and roots) are dead.

Do not use that argument - it will easily be refuted :)

  6. Kim Bolan has been writing for the Vancouver Sun. and I noticed after searching her name that their are a lot of views that the vancouver sun is very anti-sikh. Is there any pro-sikh papers, that can show the case of Kim and her paper being biased and not writing enough about the justice which Sikhs still are seeking.

I also noticed that her agenda was very one sided, she spoke about the air india bombing, which many of us will agree was wrong, but was I have also heard that the air bombing was carried out by india to defame the sikhs, if so, they have been sucessful. could someone clarify that.....

She didn't speak of any suffering that sikhs may have faced from the tyrants. Now I wouldn't go about by abusing her, or sending threatening emails, but would like to know why she is so one sided. Did she have relatives on that plane?

Also this radio program reminds me of the bbc Radio 4 program which aired a month or so ago. claiming sikh extremism growing. Their was mass emails sent everywhere and complains where made to ofcom, I was wondering was there any feedback to those complaints.I will go check thread dedicated to it. but if there was a similar procedure needs to be taken.
