  3. i understand you can't listen/sing certain raag's at certain times. But is there anywhere is Bani or the rehat maryada saying we can't listen to Asa Di Vaar?

When will our people learn to respect Satgurus hukkam and Satgurus black and white rules?

There are no rules! Vaheguru has gave us a path and there are certain things we have to stick to to follow that path and they are NOT rules.

  4. tell them that you don't want to ever get married, that should get things moving and you stay true to your shyness.

But he wants to get married! Basically i would just hint it out by talkin about maybe a friend or a relative that is getting married and how it is really nice. they would soon get the hint that way.

or their is the other way which is just to say it to one of your parents in alot of cases mum but it depends which you are closest with and get them to mention it to the other parent!

    Good Luck :TH:

  5. As a sign of respect for Guru Sahib and the sanctity of the Gurdwara where Guru Sahib resides, there should be no dhol dhamakka or other boisterous activites on Gurdwara premises. If the barat party insists on having a dholi accompanying them, then there is nothing wrong with that...as long as they stop their dancing and drummingo once they arrive on Gurdwara premises. A gurdwara should be a place of place of serentity where only focus is on naam and bani.

Unfortunately there are one too many Gurdwaras that don't condemn such activities during weddings and allow people to dance in the Gurdwara parklot.

Instead, wouldn't it be beautiful if the barat leads the procession whilst reciting simram as they arrive to the Gurdwara...
