4th Annual Waterloo Sikh Youth Camp
This Sikh Youth Camp has been designed to bring all the Youth together to share knowledge of Sikhi and to promote Sikhi to our young future! Camp will be run by YOUTH from all over. Working together we shall achieve an important element in Sikhi, which is Sangat. Including in Sangat, the youth will have inspiring role models who are enthusiastic about instilling the Sikhi spirit within these young minds.

This Sikh Youth Camp has been designed to bring all the Youth together to share knowledge of Sikhi and to promote Sikhi to our young future! Camp will be run by YOUTH from all over. Camp is FREE! Working together we shall achieve an important element in Sikhi, which is Sangat. Including in Sangat, the youth will have inspiring role models who are enthusiastic about instilling the Sikhi spirit within these young minds.

We want YOU to design this year's Waterloo Sikh Youth Camp T-Shirt:
Get out that Photoshop Software and START DESIGNING NOW !!
The deadline for the contest will be THIS MONDAY (May 4th, 2009).
The top designs will be up online where YOU will be able to Vote (details on voting will be released after Monday).
Don't have Photoshop? Don't Worry!! You can use pretty much ANYTHING: Microsoft Powerpoint, Autodesk's AutoCAD, Macromedia Maya 3D, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Photoshop, Abode Fireworks, Jasc's Paint Shop Pro, GNU's The Gimp, Microsoft Word, Paint, and if you still don't have any of these programs, draw the design by hand and SCAN IT !!
Please keep in mind the THEME for this year's camp: SEVA

The 13 singhs thats got mytered in 1978 amritsar
Ram Singh ji was a great mahaan gursikh from our Sikh history. Only the Namdharis have distorted our history and put a title of "Guru" under bhai saahib. Ram Singh ji did not declare himself as a guru, it was the people after he had passed away that put this false title on him.
He has done a lot as a SIKH for the freedom movement at that time against the british.
Ya, that should say Bhai Ram Singh Ji NOT Guru.

What will one achieve by doing this? You may find out information, then what?
It will actually make you MOREE distant from your daughter/sister than you already are.
Alternate solution like I posted over and over again in the other thread, is education, TRUST, commitment ! Educate your siblings, learn to cope with their trust and be committed in teaching them about sikhi.

On behalf of our family, thank you for joining in on such an amaazing weekend of sangat for us ! We got the chance not jus one day of two days of har jus keertan in the company of other gursikhs. Please forgive us for any mistakes in the live broadcast. Big thanks to sevadaars of Akal Multimedia and other sevadaars that made this feed possible, and hope guru saahibs keeps giving us these oppurtunities for seva.

Camp Dates:
Friday June 26th - Monday June 29th
(Camp will begin at 12pm on Friday and end at 5pm on Monday)
The 4th Annual Waterloo Sikh Youth Camp will be held at Kitchener Gurughar
(2070 Snyder's Road East, Petersburg, Ontario). The camp is completely FREE, however we are accepting donations.
This Sikh Youth Camp has been designed to bring all the Youth together to share knowledge of Sikhi and to promote Sikhi to our future.
It will be run by qualified individuals from all over Canada. Working together we shall achieve an important element in Sikhi, which is Sangat. Included in Sangat your child will have inspiring role models who are enthusiastic about instilling the Sikhi spirit within these young minds.
The youth are expected to stay at the Gurughar during the whole duration of the camp. Also, we feel very strongly about the comfort issues parents have, and would like to ensure you all that your children will be in good hands. Our team consists of highly qualified and mature individuals.
Campers will be participating in a range of activities which may include the following: keertan darbars, workshops, lectures, arts/crafts, outdoor activities, fitness classes, and any other activities that Sevadaars may deem fit for this camp. All activities will be taking place on Gurudwara property and at no time will campers be given permission to leave Gurudwara grounds unless they are with their respective Parents/Guardians. Camp Agendas will be posted at the Gurudwara and e-mailed out closer to the camp date.

The Registration Package must be completed by ALL Campers. You may hand in your forms to the Gurughar directly along with any Donations or T-Shirt order money.
Important Updates will be posted regularly on the Blog as well as the Facebook Group.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
Sevadaar Forms must be in by May 17th
Tshirt Orders must be in by May 31st
Camp Forms must be in by June 22nd
ALL T-Shirt Orders MUST be in by Sunday, May 31st 2009 so we can place the order in time to have them ready for the Camp weekend!! **NO EXCEPTIONS**
**Please note that if you confirm a t-shirt order you MUST pick up your t-shirt BEFORE or DURING the Waterloo Sikh Youth Camp. If you fail to do so, you will be charged an excess fee of $5 on top of the original t-shirt price of $10.
