I just want to say two things.
1) Gursikhs welcome Shaheedi, and celebrate Shaheedi of other Gursikhs
2) Gursikhs do not ever beg for anything from worldly Raaje (Governments).

Vaisakhi is certainly a joyous time, every Gursikh and every Premi of Dasam Patshah is filled with love and happiness when thinking of what this day means. Many celebrations take place on this day... but whenever I see these things, I am always reminded of a beautiful Gurmukh Sikh of Guru Sahib I once read about. This incident actually took place on Bandi Chor Divas (Divali), yet it can apply to all occasions the panth celebrates. Dhan are Gursikhs who have found the jot within them.
The following incident is from the life of Sant Baba Bishan Singh Ji Murarewale of Damdami Taksal (credit to ikonkaar.blogspot.com)
"Baba ji had such a good lifestyle and had reached a great spiritual state that once on the night of Diwali, a few Gursikhs asked them to come outside and see the candles and lights the sangat had lighten. Baba ji gave them the following reply: "For many years now I haven't looked up to see the ceiling of this room. I haven't seen the moon, the sun or the stars. Why do we need to see these lights of the universe? Let me stay here and see the light of Waheguru in my heart, the lighter of all of these lights.""
Just a little thought I will leave you with on this day of celebration.

You have to ask yourself just one question. Do you believe that that pyaraa, Sri Guru Nanak, can lie? Has he told you a falsehood in Gurbani?

A big well done to Bhai Sahib Dabinderjit Singh on Channel 4 news today! Excellent stuff.

I have also recieved this text, agree 100%. Hopefully Guru Sahib does kirpa, and daas can attempt to follow this bachan.
No real Gursikhs, including jatha singhs should have any doubts on any of Sri Dasam Granth, and neither should they support manmukhs like Dhunda who in my view is not a Sikh simply as he does not even believe in naam simran. The question has to be asked if you don't beleive even in nitnem bania and naam simran, by what merit can you call yourself a Sikh?
All though this is off topic, the posts above regarding parallel parkash - whatever akal takht has currently said we can/can't do, we should follow out of respect and to keep ekta. However, ideologically I don't personally see anything hugely wrong with parallel parkash - just look at your own nitnem gutka sahib where bania from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji are bound together! We've never had any problem with that, and thats much more equal than even equal level parkash. All of these doubts, be it on authenticity of dasam bani or parallel parkash, are mainly put forward by political people with all sorts of negative agendas.
Another thing I'd like to say - While I wholeheartedly agree with standing up against Dhunda and making sure he has no platform to speak, my only benti is to ensure we remember to follow Gurmat in all of our own actions, be that in how protests are carried out, methods and language used and also choosing what outcome is sought. Also be aware of people who are getting involved on both sides who are just in it for tamasha, groupism, point scoring, self-promotion, etc. Don't think that we can get Guru Sahib's khushi just by being on a particular side. My parnaam goes to all the Gursikhs, who taking Gurmat, stood up against Dhunda and his manmat.
My benti to all my fellow Gursikhs associated with the Jatha - please read this article which lists all of the Dasam Bania quoted by Bhai Sahib Bhai Randheer Singh Ji in his writings - pretty much all of Sri Dasam Granth. http://puratanjatha....sam-granth.html

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji ang 466
Also, Bhai Randhir Singh Ji in Anhad Shabad Dasam Duar:
“The Liberation-state of Gurmat is unique and different in concept from other religious faiths. Liberation is not the mere ending-up of the human body or just an escapement of the soul from its bodily cage. Some envisage liberation as riddance from afflictions associated with the human body. They believe liberation is unattainable as so long as the soul is caged within the human body. Others identify liberation as the fulfillment of their desires to abide in a heavenly abode. However, this kind of liberation falls very short compared to the Gurmat concept of liberation. Liberation is not the banishment of imagined pain and sorrow, nor can it be described as the disassociation of the soul-being from materialism. Yogic faith conceives liberation as empty consciousness through meditational practices that bear no semblance to the Gurmat concept. Vedantic faith believes in the removal of duality to arrive at oneness with The Absolute, in order to be liberated. Buddhism believes liberation to be a state of total renunciation of desire and negative thought – Nirvaana. Jainism considers that non-violence and non-killing leads to liberation. Mere escape from transmigration is not the essence of True Liberation….
Gurmat considers the above listed forms of liberation as halfway and incomplete. The swan-bird Gurmukhs who are blessed with Divine Enlightenment reject all these forms. They merge with The Divine Immaculate Light whilst living; they envision The Glorious Lord in full Divine Splendour.
Gurmukhs are sustained by the nourishment of Naam-Divine, while they behold The Lord at all times. They find True Liberation within this Love-Divine…Their Liberation lies in the sole occupation of Naam-Devotion, in accordance with Gurmat. This supreme state is reached through complete dedication, when one takes refuge within The Guru…what is not sought is a form of liberation devoid of God-Realisation.”

Many Thanks for yuor response. It's greatly apprecaited. I do wear the Kirpan over my clothes rather then under the vest.
Could you please advise where I am able to purchase a kirpan like the one you mentioned and is it known by a particular name? This one I purchased from the Taksali stall was supposed to br Sarbloh.
Thanks
The kirpan (the blade and handle) you bought probably is sarbloh as I think all taksali kirpans are, but if might be coated with nickel (you can tell if its just overly shiny), and the decorative metal on the case is almost always steel or some other metal.
I bought a kirpan like that (sarbloh on the case as well) from cross road gurdwara coventry, though I dont think all kirpans they have are like that

you shouldnt have stood so close to him to let him do that. You may need to go pesh.
For someone like me who goes into central london nearly every day, I would be going pesh literally every week if that is what is necessary after having cigarette smoke around me. I am not a Brahmin, I am a Sikh of Dashmesh Pita.

I was on the bus this morning, looking out the window and I see an adult man, with a dhari and patka... and a cigarette in hand.
The immediate thought came in my mind that I should get off at the next stop and go back to speak to him. Then I just thought, forget it the bus is going hes not going to listen, but just as the bus doors were closing I could not bear it and got off to go find him.
There he was on a busy high street shamelessly smoking away. He did not even seem to care when he saw me, with my dumalla and open dhari, approaching. I started speaking to him in punjabi saying "sardarji tusi ki kare ho, ah ki ah?", with no sharam at all he replied, 'cigarette hai' . I said to him how can you do this with a dastaar on (dastar automatically came out of my mouth). And with complete confidence his gobsmacking reply was 'Eh dastaar nai hai, patka hai'! I said, 'Kes ta rakhe ne, kara ta hai' (a gold 'kara' was on the same hand with which he was holding the cigarette).
I said to him do you not know what Sikhi says about this? While blowing smoke into my face he just mumbled away and then told me to just go and get on with my own business. I replied that I cannot do this as you have taken my Guru's roop and are doing badnaami of it. I recalled to him the sakhi of Guru Sahib's ghora but of course he did not care. After a while he just chucked his cigarette away and walked into a shop which I think was his.
I bore his insulting attitude as I believe our approach, especially the first approach should be one of pyar (but of course firmness) and the giving benefit of the doubt. I think if I see him again I will not be taking this approach.
Some important points to take away from this:
-A guy with sikhi saroop is smoking on a busy high street with no care that this is wrong
-This street has a fair amount of Sikhs walking up and down it, the confidence with which he is openly smoking tells me that other Sikhs must not be confronting him.
-No sharam even infront of someone who clearly looks amritdhari.
The purpose of me posting this is mainly to say, if you see something like this, make sure you don't just ignore it but give the person a piece of your mind. At the very least we must make sure that such people do not dare smoke out in public like this, or realise they must get rid of all outward displays of Sikhi if they insist on continuing. I had to walk the rest of the way home but I just could not tolerate what I saw. It is our duty to make such people account for themselves.

Applications still open. I'm more than happy to help or advise anyone applying or thinking of applying. :D
Once again I would like to reiterate that I can vouch for the fact that this is a really amazing opportunity. There are so many possibilities... for instance my own trio is working on a documentary for schools, where we got to interview various people of faith. Was such a fun experience and as a bonus adds variety to my CV. I am very keen to see more Sikhs getting involved, it helps you but its also a seva to represent!

I think we sould respect Balwant Singh Rojana's wishes, he has obviously prepared for this shaheedi.
Delaying it in my opinion is not desirable for a soorma like Balwant Singh. He knows that with his shaheedi it can only make the panth stronger.
Of course it is very distressing seeing someone like BALWANT SINGH be given the death sentence. however in my mind by delaying the date it will cause the panth to lose momentum in the cause for justice, for awareness. By his hanging it raises awareness of the hundreds of sikh prisoners still rotting away... thousands of familys destroyed

I feel that these protests are a good idea, but we are sending the Wrong message. Instead of saying "free Bhai balwant Singh", we would should be saying that "we stand 100% by your desicion Bhai sahib and support it, but this decision by the courts is wrong"
Double bingo
It has never been the way of the Khalsa to beg false sarkaar!
Words of Shaheed Bhai Fauja Singh Ji:
"The tenth Guru formed the Khalsa by shedding his blood. When this plant gets dried up, it needs more blood. Then the Guru`s beloved ones spill their blood to keep the Khalsa`s flag flying. This cycle comes approximately every 50 years"

The difference between "EK" and "EKA" is that EK refers to one as in number, but EKA is refering to one who, or one who has etc. In english translation the meaning is lost where sometimes just one is entered, and sometimes where "the one" or "the one who" or "the one that" etc.
ਏਕਾ ਮਾਈ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਵਿਆਈ ਤਿਨਿ ਚੇਲੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
The One Divine Mother who HAS given birth (or gave) to the universe and the 3 deities.
the example given above by Bhaji Singhstah :
ਸਭ ਏਕਾ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ॥
The One Light is all-pervading; only a few know this.
The line :
ਏਕਾ - One who is
ਨਾਰੀ - own woman
ਜਤੀ steadfast (although people generally refer to Jatti as being celibate, but this is not always the case, out of the 6 jattis, at least 1 was married, jatti actually means one who has his senses under control)
ਹੋਇ is
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ another woman
ਧੀ ਭੈਣ ਵਖਾਣੈ। recognise as daughter or sister.
Bhai Gurdas talks about the character of the Sikh saying :
The one who is steadfast in his woman, recognising others as his daughter or sister.
The Eka in being singular is not meaning the woman, but the Man who is the center of this line, and nor is Bhai Gurdas Ji or Gurbani anywhere saying that multiple marriages are against Waheguru's hukam.
Simply because I lack the relevent knowledge of gurbani grammar, I referred the question to bhai kulbir singh who has given the below reply, which makes total sense:
"The first point is that the word ਏਕਾ is an adjective (perhaps Sankhavachak Visheshan or Sankhayak Visheshan) and is always used with a singular noun in feminine gender.
In the examples quoted in the first post, this word has been used only with singular nouns of feminine gender - ਮਾਈ, ਜੋਤਿ, and ਟੇਕ. Since this word is used only with singular feminine nouns, we can deduce that in the Pankiti from Bhai Gurdaas jee's Vaar, this word is connected to ਨਾਰੀ and not to the husband.
The meaning is clear - Gursikh is the Jatee of ਏਕਾ ਨਾਰੀ i.e. his own one woman and he considers all other women as his daughters and sisters.
Logically thinking, why would a Jatee Gursikh get married to multiple women and have a harem? Can a person who has more than one wife, be classified as a Jatee?
Chatanga:
The Eka in being singular is not meaning the woman, but the Man who is the center of this line,As mentioned before in this post, the word ਏਕਾ is with ਨਾਰੀ and not man because everywhere in Gurbani, this word only comes with singular feminine gender noun.
Lastly, we must remember that this Pauri of Bhai Gurdaas jee is for Gursikhs and defines the characteristics of a Gursikh.
Kulbir Singh"

Ek Nari means one woman. Eka Nari does not.
How does it not mean one woman? Why don't you tell us what you think it means? Gurbani quotes have been provided which show that the word 'Eka' is used to mean exactly the same thing as 'Ek'.
0 -
Bhai Gurdas has written " Eka nari..." . If this was to mean one woman, wouldnt it have made more sense to write "Ek nari..."
What does the "a" after the ek denote?
Also why this injunction on males only? Bhai Gurdas has written about eh character of a Sikh, but why exclusivley male Sikh?
In regards to the quote from Bhai Gurdas Ji Di vaara;
ਏਕਾ ਨਾਰੀ ਜਤੀ ਹੋਇ ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਧੀ ਭੈਣ ਵਖਾਣੈ।
aykaa naaree jatee hoi par naaree dhee bhain vakhaanai.
एका नारी जती होइ पर नारी धी भैण वखाणै ।
Having one woman as wife he (the Sikh) is a celebate and considers any other's wife as his daughter or a sister.
3 ਵਾਰਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ : ਵਾਰ ੬ ਪਉੜੀ ੮ ਪੰ. ੩
I have checked with Bhai Kulbir Singh who is extremely knowledgeable in Gurbani grammer, who has clarified that 'eka' still means one, by showing quotes from Gurbani where 'Eka' has been used to mean one:
Just because the line from Bhai Gurdas stated a male should only have one wife, this does not mean that women can have multiple husbands. It is this same quote from which we get the principle of men looking at all women other than their wife as mother, daughter or sister, and although the wording is only written from a male perspective, it is also used in the exact same way to instruct women to look at men other than their husbands as fathers, brothers and sons. In the same way we take the principle from this that a Sikh, be it a man or a woman, is to have only one spouse. To try to make it gender specific just because of the wording is really clutching at straws. Plenty of gurbani is written from a male perspective but it is unanimously accepted that the meaning of such shabads applies to both men and women. For example, in bhagat dhanna ji's shabad in arti, bhagat sahib ji requests a wife, it would be ridiculous to say that this shabad cannot apply to a woman because of such wording, or that only men have been given the right to do ardas for a spouse and not women.
If you say that Guru Gobind Singh Ji is God himself, then you are going against Gurbani.2ndly , Guru is the prime example for Sikhs. Whatever Guru Ji did/said is our sikhya. Your argument is one that many Muslims say about Mohammed, who had 11 wives, even thought they are only allowed 4 at one time max. Muslims say that Mohammed was the perfcet man, yet he didnt obey his own God.
If we are in any situation good or bad, then who better to look to for guidance than our own perfect Guru.To say that we can do this thing because Guru Ji did it, but not this thing becasue even though Guru Ji did it, we dont wear a kalgi, or sit on a takht doesnt really add up to me.
Guru ji being God is a totally seperate subject, if you didn't like that one point, I have given other points to show actions Guru Ji himself did but Sikhs must not do, eg wearing a kalgi. We have indisputable examples of things Guru Ji did which Guru Ji has not allowed for Sikhs.
Yes we should look to Guru Ji for guidance, but the way to do this is not to look at everything Guru Ji did and imitate it, but to see which hukams guru ji has given to us and in the act of following those hukams see how guru ji practiced them. Everything Guru Sahib did is not for a Sikh to do, but everything a Sikh is meant to do, Guru Sahib did do to show us how.
For example, there is a sakhi of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Bhai Mardana needing to cross over a river, Guru Sahib told Bhai Mardana to jap vaheguru gurmantar, and in doing so bhai mardana ji was able to start walking across it, while doing so guru sahib started chanting something else which bhai mardana then started to chant, at this bhai mardana ji began to sink, when he started to jap vaheguru upon guru sahib telling him to do so again, he came back up and was able to cross over.
To sum up, Bhai Gurdas Ji Di vaara clearly spell out that a Sikh has only one spouse. Whether or not Guru Sahib had more than one spouse, even if he did it was not for any worldly reason that an ordinary human would do so but for very good reasons known to him, but this does not give us the right to do so.

Songs are most definetly a no no, as for instrumental, I don't suppose they are bad as such but why bother wasting time with them when we will gain real benefit from gurbani keertan? The peace or good feeling gained from worldly music is just something that entertains the mind, it does nothing for the soul, so this peace will never be permanent. Only gurbani can give us true and everlasting peace, happiness, and anand and this is far greater than anything seemingly gained from any other source.

The below article by 'Singhni MiriPiri' is taken from http://naam-jor.blogspot.com/2007/01/support-of-naam.html
Support of Naam
Naam is the only support in our lives; it can only save us in the end. It will stay with us eternally, whether here or the hereafter. It will never be exhausted. This energy of Naam is profound.

They praise the Name of the Lord forever and ever. The Name of the Lord is their Merchandise and Support.
No mother, father, relative, spouse or friend would be our support when we die. We came here alone and we depart alone. We came here naked and we depart naked. Only with Naam shall we be protected from such disgrace in the hereafter. If we Jap Naam we shall be honoured and will not be looked upon as a wild, beast who discriminated this human life.

The Lord God is my Friend and Companion. God shall be my Helper and Support in the end. 3
Only, Naam can give us happiness here and the hereafter. It is our own true self, our own inner being, our true home that we need to search for. We depart only with our soul, so if not much wealth of Naam was gathered, we will fill hollow. We used so many clever devices and praises of this world that never gave any peace or satisfied our soul but only the demons inside us, so we murdered our soul and therefore we will leave with regret. Would we rather listen to our heart or be a slave to the inner demons. Put control over the mind, so that we can hear our hearts desires. Make the soul have control over the body.

Let God eternally abide within our mind, for God has been so dear to us in the beginning and will be dear to us in the end. Only God can give us true happiness. Don’t fall in love with his creation; those pleasures do not last for long. Fall in love with the creator, which shall never go, finish, or die. His creation is only temporal. Just when we have been given a gift by someone we love dearly, we thank them but we always know this gift will not last forever. Just as God gives a gift, thank him, do what is pleasing to God. God will never stop giving gifts so exchange something in return- love. But there is a great gift we have to be given yet; the union with God like how the rays of light merge with the sun. We cannot live without Naam, just how the fish cannot live without water.
dUKu sMqwpu n lgeI ijsu hir kw nwmu ADwru ]
Suffering and sorrow do not touch those who have the Support of the Name of the Lord.
When we Jap Naam we see pain as happiness. No darkness is seen to the being whose heart dwells with God’s name. God’s name continuously recites within oneself, this is how powerful Naam is. This is because God lives in each and every heart so God is our breath of life. As a result we begin to remember our home so automatically we Jap Naam whilst standing, sleeping, sitting; every instant of our life. Everything that God does will seem dear to us. All his actions will be sweet. Manmukhs minds are narrow-minded, they are full of negativity. But the mind of a Gursikh always sees the positive side of everything because they believe God is perfect and whatever he writes he makes no mistake.
min sMqoKu nwmu AwDwru ]
My mind is contented with the Support of the Naam.
How can we have sorrow if God is always by our side, our companion, our beloved? No human can give anybody happiness, they are combating with their inner-self. They show wickedness to others through their own pain that they give their soul. One minute they are nice, the next they are wicked; no happiness lasts with them. They choose who they want to admire and hate but how can they when we are all the same because God exists in everybody. They do not know themselves. If we saw God in everyone, how can we be brutal; all we would want to do is just smile at everyone and become the dust of their feet.
We have no loneliness when we have the support of God. Loneliness cannot touch any devotee of God, as they have God by there side. Nothing is ever-more peaceful than being alone because they have God as their Sangat, God is everywhere. They contemplate and vibrate on God’s name with the nature and saints surrounding them. Just how the Guru is eternally with us, so are also those divine souls who attain the Guru’s realm of eternal truth are near us. No matter how far away they are, their aura and presence is always felt. This attraction of Naam is indescribable. One begins to feel lured by their beauty of Naam that shines upon one’s face. Just how we would feel attracted from God’s light, one who continuously contemplates on God’s name is enticing because God’s light is shining outwardly. That beauty of the soul is shining forth, the soul of God’s light is awakened.

We only exist by God’s power. All Power is God’s. All actions are done by God. We have no power, only God does. Only God exists, thus God is alone. When we forget God, we are extremely vile. When we forget God, we are living in Kalyug (the Dark Age), when we remember God we are living in Satiyug (the true age). We are a sleep when we forget God so we might as well be dead. When we forget God, our soul is not awake. Our soul is our true self which is God’s light, so we have forgotten ourselves. Therefore, only God’s power gives support to all. So recite his name with every breath, never forget God; this is our true wealth. God is the rejuvenator of our breath. This article from www.abhiyaas.blogspot.com covers the topic and your questions very well, starting with a shabad from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, http://abhiyaas.blog...03/rom-rom.html
Rom Rom
(Ang 941)
gurumukh saachae kaa bho paavai
The Gurmukh lives in the Fear of God, the True Lord.
gurumukh baanee aghurr ghurraavai
Through the Word of the Guru's Bani, the Gurmukh refines the unrefined.

gurumukh pavithru purum pudh paavai
The Gurmukh attains the supreme, sanctified status.
gurumukh rom rom har dhiaavai
The Gurmukh meditates on the Lord with every hair of his body.
naanuk gurumukh saach sumaavai
O Nanak, the Gurmukh merges in Truth. 27
gurumukh puruchai baedh beechaaree
The Gurmukh is pleasing to the True Guru; this is contemplation on the Vedas.
gurumukh puruchai thureeai thaaree
Pleasing the True Guru, the Gurmukh is carried across.
gurumukh puruchai s subadh giaanee
Pleasing the True Guru, the Gurmukh receives the spiritual wisdom of the Shabad.
gurumukh puruchai anthur bidh jaanee
Pleasing the True Guru, the Gurmukh comes to know the path within.
gurumukh paaeeai alukh apaar
The Gurmukh attains the unseen and infinite Lord.
naanuk gurumukh mukath dhuaar
O Nanak, the Gurmukh finds the door of liberation. 28
In this Shabad, Guru Sahib makes it clear how the Gurmukh (pure being) lives his/her life, and how one finds the door of liberation. Guru Sahib has also made it quite clear that the Gurmukh meditates on the Lord God with every hair of his body. Daas has heard many stories about meditating with each strand of hair, one of them is when a Gurmukh meditates with each strand of hair one hears the Shabad Vahiguroo in the hair, if one holds the hair close to ones ear. Daas would like to confirm this is not true.
One has to read the Naam Drug article (http://abhiyaas.blog.../naam-drug.html) to realize that Naam and God is an energy that is contained in every single atom of the Universe. When ones concentration of Naam reaches a certain level one starts to meditate with every single strand of Hair.

With each and every hair, with each and every hair, as Gurmukh, I meditate on the Lord.

raam naam dhiaaeae pavith hoe aaeae this roop n raekhiaa kaaee
I meditate on the Lord's Name, and become pure; He has no form or shape. This line proves god is energy.

The Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam, is permeating my heart deep within, and all of my desire and hunger has disappeared.

My mind and body are totally adorned with peace and tranquility; through the Guru's Teachings, the Lord has been revealed to me.

The Lord Himself has shown His kind mercy to Nanak; He has made me the slave of the slaves of His slaves. 3
How will one know if one is meditating with each strand of Hair?
What tends to happen is, ones body through Naam and Dhiaan (concentration) becomes filled with an overwhelming energy - which is felt in the Tenth Gate (Dasam Duaar area). When the concentration and Shabad stay in this area for a certain period of time constantly without the concentration coming back down to the lower energy centers known as chakras, one starts to meditate with every single strand of hair. Once the concentration is poised in the higher energy centers (chakras), most likely the concentration will not come down and should stay there. The reason it should stay there is, once one has experienced this overwhelming, ever uplifting feeling blessed by Guru Sahib one will make sure the concentration level never drops, and constantly stay in single- minded Abhiyaas (practice). One will realize when the concentration level drops, as one will also drop in to feeling down and negative emotions. Every single strand of hair on ones body is also filled with the energy of the universe (God, Naam) which becomes a magnetic force. This state of mind is only achieved by great fortune, blessing, past karam and intense Akhand (non-stop) Naam Abhiyaas.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦੀਆ ਰਖਿਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ ॥
mun thun dhun jin prabh dheeaa rakhiaa sehaj suvaar
This mind, body and wealth were given by God, who naturally adorns us.
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
surub kulaa kar thaapiaa anthar joth apaar
He has blessed us with all our energy, and infused His Infinite Light deep within us.
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਿਮਰੀਐ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਖੁ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
sudhaa sudhaa prubh simureeai anthar rukh our dhaar
Forever and ever, meditate in remembrance on God; keep Him enshrined in your heart. 1
When ever a part of ones body e.g. Arms come into close contact with anything physical, the strands of hair on ones body will physically stand on end and magnetically be pulled towards the physical object. This is a sign of one meditating with each strand of hair. One will automatically know when one is at this stage, as you actually feel the force of this energy in the head, body and hair. Daas would like to confirm this is not made up, it is personal experience; with Guru Sahibs Apaar Kirpaa.

This is the stage where one is not affected by worldliness at all as one has learnt to accept all in the will of the great lord and let the world be, one has realized ones coming in the world is a mere play/drama; all is false.

O Nanak, when it pleases Him, then He absorbs us into Himself. 6
One has to read the whole of the above Shabad with great concentration to work out why this life is a mere play. Guru Sahib is saying he controls everything, coming going, liberation everything is under his command. There is nothing we can do apart from accept his will as being sweet. LEARN TO BE.
Daas would not like to talk too much about this subject, as it is very similar to the Naam Drug article. (Please read the Naam Drug article, as this article will make more sense.)
Here are a few teachings from Singh Sahib Yogee Harbhajan Singh Jee:
"When you say I am a God conscious person it means you realize that your mental capacity is infinity."
"Mind is a unit energy given to you to serve you, be its guide and not its slave."
"When the one pointed, infinite beam of the mind starts sending the signal into the infinity and the infinity relates to the finite, the unit becomes united and this is called the highest stage of the mind. One will only get to these stages with single-minded loving devotion."

Wrong.
Coudnt you as a human be wrong?
Punjabis were only ever having 1 wife? Singher 23, what you have posted is a load of baloney from the neo-sikh know it all camp.
Since when was Guru Ghar so into elaborate functions?
Guru Ji had 3 wives as did 6th Guru. There is nothing wrong with having more than 1 wife, and in some parts of india, it is a tradition for woman to be married to more than one man.
Also what one of you have quoted from Dasam Granth, about not going to the bed of another woman even in dream, is nothing to do with this.
Sikhi does limit any man or woman in terms of marriage numbers.
I am not commenting on the number of wives of our Guru Sahib's, but are you saying Bhai Gurdas Ji is a 'neo-sikh'?
Anyway, even though/if our Guru Sahib had more than one wife (I have no problem with this whatsoever), this does not mean that Sikhs can. Bhai Gurdas Ji makes it very clear in the tuk in my earlier post that a Sikh must have only one spouse.
If Guru Ji did have more than one wife, there was definetly very good reason for this which Guru Sahib knows, but certainly not for any reason which any normal human being would do so. Guru Sahib also wore a kalgi, sat on a takht, not to mention he is God himself. So to give an example of what Guru Sahib did to say we can aswell is not going to work.
