  1. I know what your saying - but any transition takes place immediately after they have recieved amrit ...
  2. I hope by title i dont offend anyone. ive seen a lot of people take amrit around me. People who ive known for a long time. And i dont know, it seems when they take amrit... their vices come into play more? The three main things are that they get more flirty (lustful), more big headed towards non amrit dhaaris and have more anger. The anger thing is normally when it comes to situations which upset the panth so i can kinda understand that to an extent. But the others i dont get at all. Flirting in Gurughars. And looking down upon others. Im confused, i thought receiving amrit makes you lowest of the low... doesnt it? Please discuss maturely and references in Gurbani would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I was wondering if anyone could share some true inspirational stories of youth who have been lost in the panth? For example, kids who were massacred during Delhi riots etc.? Any other tragedies? Any other stories? Need some fotos... some footage... anything multimedia would be greatly appreciated
  4. Whatever. The world goes on... things are changing SO fast in todays day and age. Its hard to keep up with gristti. Fact of the matter is... change happens all around us. Man does not live forever. Animals dont live forever. Plants dont live forever. Heck there arent many things that dont turn into dust. The Guru ghar in question here seems to be quite old and the sangat seems to be growing ever more - those who have been to the rehansbhais there will see what i mean. So a new Gurdwara building is not a bad thing. Besides, i believe every Guru Ghar should be built from scratch anyway rat her than converting old buildings. And new buildings should BE palaces. Palaces fit for a King. And dont tell me u will never move house in ure life Mr Gurbar Akaal. If we can move to bigger and better houses as income comes in... then why cant our Guru have the same treatment? Our Guru is not asking to be moved but if the sangat wishes to build a palace for their King from start... who are you to put your hoof in? Do u have the blueprints for the Gurdwara? I know the classes etc that Gurdwara and the organisation run and i think its very good and absolutely brilliant. I think a new Gurdwara the way they want it will be ideal for better classes etc. As for charity... lol, u dont really know the "Bebe Nanaki" jatha very well at all my friend. Forgive my mistakes. I am not affiliated with the jatha in any way however when one says wrong things, another must put right.
  5. You should respect anyone who gives you vidhiya (knowledge) and brings about spirituality. So Sri Dasam Granth should be respected as well and we should not turn a blind eye. If you have a teacher teaching you something in specific, you should not use that knowledge without their consent - thats how much respect you should have for anyone who gives you vidhiya
  6. Im really uneducated about Hinduism so please forgive me in advance. I thought it was quite a beautiful shabad. I think, from the few seconds of just listening to it, that the keertan would certainly enlighten you spiritually. If Guru Jee's saroop was there... in a mandir.. that needs to be addressed. But it could be their own "hindu holy scrriptures"? Like the vedas or something? Sorry, correct me, im probably wrong as i mentioned before. But have to be honest, it does look like our Guru Jee's saroop which does baffle and hurt me that Guru Jee is being kept at a Mandir... HOWEVER, if Guru jee was visiting a mandir (stress "VISITING") a mandir, then i dont see anything wrong in that. Our Guru Jee opens everyone and i think its amazing if Guru Jee can travel the four corners of the earth. And the mandir looks more like a palace compared to 80% of Gurdwaras in the UK that ive seen. Forgive me for my mistakes and please dont get angry at me
  7. You should really wait until theres confirmed reports before starting rumour. No offence
