  1. for some reason the " he is certainly a very good sehajdhari sikh.." tickled my mind ...

he is on his own path...and us saying if he is a good "sikh"/ "sehajdhari sikh"/ "Amritdhari Sikh"...doesnt make much difference. i believe it only feeds one of the choors(thieves) that live in us :)

we all have our own karams and make our way to "hell" or "heaven" ..i dont think it matters if someone thinks if u and i are good sikhs or not. hope what im saying makes sense

as guru sahib states it..we all are on our own journey...

  2. Veerji,

I highly doubt Bhai Chaupa singh actually wrote exactly the same...

And if Bhai Chaupa Singh really said this... Then sorry, but its wrong.. (Can somebody list the 5 mels?)

(It is possible that it is wrong, as Bhai Chaupa Singh also has other mistakes like I have read the english version of Bhai Chaupa Singh's rehitnama, and it says that only 1 stanza from Chandi Charitar was read during the first Amrit Sanchar... Which i doubt is true)

correct cause man = woman...no social differenc or order, that "rehitnama" totally ignores the concept of equality.

    :) agree with u both^^^

///again just out of curiosity can someone list the 5 mels?

  3. why are we discussing a person who isn't even hear? are we trying to categorize him in some sense? He will take Khanday Bathey di Pahul when guru sahib feels like he is ready=) so please stop worrying about him and pray to akal purakh to bless us all to Love and accept people as He has created them.

(why does it matter if he is a sikh or not to u jio? :BL: all i see is the guy is on the path ..hes been blessed to be in love with Sikhi/Vaheguru. guru sahib loves us all no matter what; unless i've understood wrong? )

  4. this one was def worth opening

    By Guru Nanak Dev Ji

One universal creator God. The name is true. Creative being personified. No fear. No hatred. Image of the undying, Beyond birth, Self-existent. By Guru's Grace ~

    Chant And Meditate:

True is the primal beginning. True throughout the ages.

True here and now. O Nanak, forever and ever true.

If you desire to play the game of love with me,

then sep onto my path with your head in hand.

When you place your feet on this path,

give me your head and do not pay attension to public opinion.

thank u nd welcome to the forum

  5. i look out my window and the sky is grey

yes grey, the most beautiful color someones negative thoughts and perception have made it a symbol of spiritless and unhappiness and my thoughts have become its prey

im pondering over my life thinking of yesterday

when my guru tells me to live in Now and Today

Thats where it starts and end...my life here and now..

    and not where and when?

Education is the way to get myself out of the darkness

beautiful darkness which is needed so i can witness & adore the brightness

Light mixed with darkeness creates the gray...yet grey isnt my destiny its the light as u say

i never heard anyone call someone obsessed for Giyan (education/vidhiya) a fool..

but maybe its my minds deception ..tryin to keep me away from a joyful amrit pool

Nothing we do in this world is of any waste

its all part of a journey yet we are led astray

none other then our own foolish mind

which forgets its all a gift

    just become aware!

    =)

  6. SATORI!

(where have u been? nyhow back to teh topic)

    agree with u satori.

    oh and

I look at this through the eyes of Quantum Physics. It's a fascinating observation.

i would love to read about that observation...as my mind doesnt want/ready to look at things through QP on its own...

    looking fwd to reading it..

  7. Flowers...try taking flowers for Maharaj ji...

I usually take one rose...and leave it by the Rumala Sahib...It stays there...as long as I get a new one... =)

I just love Maharaj ji...see he actually waitttttttsss for me to get him a new flower...thats so cute...

What will I ever do without him?!

    awww vaheguru

    that soo beautiful =)...

something i have learned from someone in my life...and thought i would share it with u too..since u have such a pure heart!...

since we are guided by guru sahib to serve the creation, and how guru sahib says his golak is the mouth of the poor?...why not give a flower to someone who is in need...such as a child, adult, or bajuurag who longs for a caring hand/love ..and make them feel...(i am always in loss of words when it comes to the feelins/ emotions/inspirtion brought by thoughtful acts of human beings). flowers, hugs, smiles...have such power which is hard to describe, and it changes life of the giver and receiver drastically in a mystical way=)

apply it in ur life if u feel its worth it and makes sense to u :)

jus put in very simple words...Guru sahib(jyot) waits for us in his/her creation and works through us ..

    vaheguru

  8. lots a nd lots of great ideas are presented here...which can be used to help ourselves and people around us. as we grow we realize we cant be "friends" with everyone or help out everyone...even though we all want to and wish there was a way we could do that. what im reading here is ( referring to the detailed posts about ideas) we need to open up and 'Our mission has to be ,to connect ,connect ,connect to those who are lost ."

we all know there are clicks in schools, and out side of schools and they are created automatically by the human kind to make sense of surrounding and feel safe.

    nyhow

we all have different personalities and are on the same path yet at different stops so sometimes its hard to "connect" with people isnt it?

when someone says...lets reach out/connect, what do u really mean? are there any boundaries one should create to not get lost(one has to be very strong/pakka in what he/she believes in because sometimes being with "lost" u get lost too and one must be prepared to answer the HARD questions)? the reason i ask about the boundaries is because when u reach out or connect to people ur emotions are involved..u cant be cold hearted/hypocrite and just "connect" with others from "utton utton"(on the surface) as punjabi people would say. if you are going to connect to the "lost" do a single human being have the capacity to connect with so many "lost" lives?

    ----

one thing i find funny is how we are kind of condemning the "learn the hard way" concept here. lets not do that because i believe sikhi doesnt condemn it. maybe its just the way waheguru wants those people to learn the lessons tehy are suppose to learn.=)

i think someone posted the cocoon/ butterfly story here some time back..which explained the concept of the stages/experiences one must go through inorder to reach its beautiful state/stage.

  9. ^^^ to the guest.

one thing i wanted u to clearfy to me is :

It's not ordinary, but if I ever come across an honest individual who I can trust and see rab and do sewa with, i'll marry her (anand kharaj), ignoring what our dumb community thinks, because we are all so corrupt and full of 5 vices and still can't see the light in others (non sikhs)

its kind of bothering me. how can one see LIGHT IN others, yet say that they "can't" trust them and see the beauty? :)

  10. Gurfateh jee,

I was having a conversation with my brother last night, he was saying that although the soul always stays the same whilst it goes through many different life forms, the mind changes. For example when your a human you have a more complex mind, to be able to make decisions, express feelings/emotions etc. However if you took a life form as an animal, your mind will change to fit the thinking of an animal...

So basically at every life form you're mann changes?

Im a bit confused, can sangat give any thoughts, and back them up with gurbani please.

    Thanks,

    Gurfateh jee

forgive me for my foolish question in advance.. i might be looking at this post from a very different perspective (fools perspective)...

but what is soul? and or who does it belong to?=) maybe start from there?...

the question popped in my head because in ur post u said

However if you took a life form as an animal, your mind will change to fit the thinking of an animal...

im just curious if it bothers u that the soul will/might become an animal and not be able to think like a human?

or are u trying to understand something else here?

  12. Thank u sangat for posting positive views here. almost a yr back my mind started creating a negative image of the world around me too after i read and heard so many negative things and criticisms. at that time i wasnt aware that i was feeding myself all this ugly stuff until i got sick...didnt know the reason y i was sick till i started meetin/ having sangat of great beings again!(thank u vaheguru)

    as we already know:

Gurbani teaches us to look at the positives... yes negativity is around us but guru sahib wants us to become like hans who picks out the pearls and not go for the fish(not that its bad..just a metaphor) like a bangula=)

    bhucl chuk muaaff karni

may guru sahib give us all his perspective and keep us in chardikalla

    akal sahai!
