    Cant Find A Post

Looking for a post i saw couple weeks ago, but cant find it. Think it had one reply, cant remember OP Name or replies name. Wonder if come remembers what the reply was. Basically it was along the lines of somebody asking he brought amrit jal from gurdwara for his daughter, andcan't remember if it tasted like fruit drink or in fruit drink bottle and was unsure whether to have it. I think the poster was unsure whether it was amrit, and the replyer explained something. Anybody? Thanks.
  6. WJKK WJKF I have a few pets that I feed meat daily to, they require it to live. Will that be a problem? I don't eat meat or eggs myself.
  7. WJKK WJKF I'm 16 and this's a question I struggle with. Becoming an amritdhari is the first step in Sikhi and everyone says you don't have to be perfect to take that first step. I really want to give my head to the Guru and be committed. I do nitnem, kirtan, Simran daily, I follow everything I'm supposed to and I'm always trying improve as a Sikh. Kaam is my only problem, I'm trying so hard to get rid of my habits, but they've been going on for a few years. Although, in the past few months I've significantly reduced my kaami actions. At this point it's minimal but it still hits me now and then. Will it be ok for me to take khande bate di paul? If not, any tips to help get rid of this addiction?

  9. If someone took amrit and is very sick that that person doesn't have much time left to live and can't do nitnem, or follow other rehat, is it forgivable by our guru?

    Taking Amrit Again In Life

WJKK WJKF Daas took amrit recently, and I can't explain what a great experience it was. I just keep thinking about it over and over again and I wish I had took time to enjoy it more rather being nervous :stupidme: Just wondering if we DON'T commit one of the bujjer kureihts can we take amrit again in the future to basically "renew" our amrit or perhaps you did other things against rehat maryada but not bujjer kureihts. So there would be no Tankha, but just take amrit again? Not asking about Pesh for Bujjer Kureihts, I am asking about simply "renewing our amrit", is this allowed? Bhul Chuk Maaf

    Questions About Rehat

Hi There I plan to take amrit soon I just have a few questions that I can't find answers properly... Can we wear elastic kachera instead of naala? Can we touch meat product and cook meat for others? (Not consuming it myself) Do we need to do our nitnem before eating/drinking in the morning? If we sleep late due to work & maybe even night shifts can amritvela be just the time we wake up? Can amritdhari wear scents (cologne/perfume) and wedding rings, bracelets, watches? Bhul Chuk maaf, don't mean to offend anyone Just need to clarify things before taking amrit

    Amrit Sanchar East London

    When is the next one!
  18. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh I would like to take Amrit, maybe not just yet but I really want to, my wife does is not into the idea. We are both into Sikhi, as is my wife, we do Parth go Gurdwara but she does says she doesnt want to take that extra step. Guru Kirpa that we both take it. But if she doesn't, will I still be able to?
  19. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa ,Waheguru Ji ki Fateh Everyone, I have a doubt. I read somewhere in the forums that we dnt cut hair because they are living(living cells) where as we cut extended nails because they are non living(dead cells). What if a sikh is born with a rare mutation ,example : a extra hand or something which is living but of no use.(the cases you see on discovery or national geography). Is he/she allowed to cut(obviously through operation) it? Now one more thing,Due to hair at my private parts I have got a fungal infection.Doctor simply said the reason was water clogging after bath. And no matter whatever you do it wont dry(i cant simply use a dryer)..and according to the forums I see you should not shave hairs no matter what. But whats the point when these living part is the cause of killing of other living cells plus the rashes and itch. Regards, Confused Sikh

  22. Is this possible or not ? 99 % Amritdhari women are Kurehati's and will never do Pesh in front of Singhs doing Seva of Punj Piyaras. Does it mean they are doomed or can there be an Amtit Sanchar for the women by the women.
