Is it OK to have non-sexual affairs outside of marriage?
by Guest Amrit Gill- 0 replies

I want to help my best friend, I want to know if Gurbani has a tukk or explanation about situation like this: My best friend recently told me about a guy she dates online, there is no sexual relation and nor she is thinking of doing anything like that, I do trust her in this. She has been married for 21 years and have 3 kids. According to her, her married life is very normal, good, no fights with her husband but she clams that she have found a person who she can talk about love or share things (again, I am not talking about sexual related things). Also she says her husband is simple guy who doesn't think too much about emotions of any kind so he have never shared anythin…

Charismatic Sikh Preacher - Under attack TikTok
by Guest Singhfromtiktok- 0 replies

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I have come across a charismatic Sikh Preacher on an app called TikTok. He seems well meaning and makes some interesting Sikh educational videos. However he has recently started making non Sikh videos and questioning other faiths. Due to this he has come under attack from Muslims and Christians. Many make anti Sikh remarks on his videos. Please take some time to have a look and defend our faith from these people and share your knowledge on Sikhi to ignorant people. The link to his profile is here. Many thanks https://vm.tiktok.com/wn7jjY/

Im a singh nearing my mid 30s now and ive always worn a turban. Ive lost all my hair at the top of my head. I struggle to tie a joora (top knot) at the top of my head now. If i wear my turban it feels loose and if i tie it too tight i get a headache. As i get older i will become bald it seems. Im wondering what other singhs have done in this situation. Have they continued to wear a turban after going bald?

Self Love
by Guest True- 0 replies

Too often I see so many humans, including myself, put themselves and others down and not accept that God made us beautiful and with Love. I believe we are supposed to love ourselves as Truth, drops in the Ocean of Parbrahm. I think it time we began to walk with our heads up high and accept our crowns (crown chakra, we all have one no matter where we are in life) and accept that we really are royalty, the family of our beloved Parbrahm who is the True King. This world pushes us to worship wealth (even gained by unsavoury means), looks, celebrities, royals, billionaires, ego, lust- the false/ maya. It's time we all put God/ Truth first, as highest o…

Help
by Guest Sikh UK- 0 replies

I hope someone can help. I am in my early 30's but have had a very sheltered life. I am quite introverted and do not have many friends (not that I am that bothered). I will be taking a sabbatical from work for 3 months from February. I would like to use this time to go abroad from the UK, to India or America (somewhere warm only) and spend some time with a sangat or Mentor-type person - I would like to do things I have never done before like martial arts/shastar vidya, learn how to live in rehit of Gursikhs, learn more bani If anyone can give any suggestions for sources that can help, would be much appreciated. And yes, I do need to do this as a camp …

What to do if I tasted non veg accidentally?
by Guest gupt singh- 0 replies
I ordered a vegetarian dish and restaurant sent me a nonveg. I had a doubt that it might be tofu or soya. So I tried to taste the gravy/outer crust(i believe besan/wheat flour), I definitely didn't eat the piece. (which doesn't make difference), in my opinion, I violated my Sikhi. I don't know what to do here. It wasn't intentional and I didn't know what it was. What should be my steps here, I don't see any Amrit Sanchar Samagam nearby/soon. Please help and guide what should be done in such case.

Hi all, Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh little background to provide context, I was mona and clean shaven my whole life but began keeping kesh around 7/8 years ago at the age of 24 I believe, I wasn’t wearing a dastar and was rolling around with a high bun like it was for fashion, a few years in I began trimming my beard and continued like this for a few years but recently I have stopped doing this and my beard is quite long and has the natural look now. I don’t do paath or nitnem all I do is listen to kirtan and paath at the moment. Since I became keshdari again I decided to practice rehit by wearing panj kakkars so have been doing this for the past …

a Sikhs goal
by Guest gurbani Vaheguru- 0 replies

dhan dhan vaheguru satguru sri guru granth sahib ji. A Sikhs goal is to hear, see and meet Vaheguru before death. A Sikhs Duty is to do Simran with each and every breath. We should not only read gurbani, we should and we are supposed to do read it, do vichaar of it, study it, live it, and do Simran to come to the state to hear see and meet Vaheguru. What's mean by "hearing" Vaheguru? Naam=Vahegurus Voice. In the first stadium of the marag, the way to Vaheguru, Naam is the gurmantar ("Vaheguru ") . So Vaheguru spoke, made a sound and then started the establishment of this universe. That sound which Vaheguru made is called Naa…

Prayer vs Hukam

If everything is prewritten, what’s the purpose of prayer that asks for things from god. Are we suppose to do such prayers or just stay in guru’s hukam, because i think gurbani preaches both which is contradictory.
