If your tabla is THE BEST one (no doubt- expensive) atleast everytime you will play it, you will surely love it and this will make you learn more and more and more and more..... waheguru. Fateh many people are so confused with Sikh=Punjabi. it is not the true fact. any one who speaks punjabi is also known as "Punjabi" or ppls say "He/she is punjabi" but those who walk on the path of guru ji (no matter if they were born in sikh family, hindu, muslim, gora, kala etc.) are calle "SIKHS".... Now here, we need to understand what is this "Guru da Path".... in a nuttshell, anyone who follows the sikh rehat mariyada, take amrit (from panj piyare), see Shri guru granth sahib ji as jaagdi jot of 10 gurus, does or try to do every thing what sikhi says, do paath, do panj baniyaan, keep him/herself away from 4 bajjar kurehtaan, dont smoke, dont drink, dont eat meat and someone who learns something new (may be everyday) from shri guru granth sahib ji etc. is called "SIKH". so u r talking about education.... i tell you one more incident. a 16-17 old girl came to a bibi ji in soho road gurdwara and asked: Bibi ji muslim say "Allah", what do we sikhs say and whatever we say, what does it mean?????? the bibi was so shocked and asked that girl who asked you this question, she said one of her muslim friend. A 16-17 yrs old girl dont know that sikhs remember god by remembering and chanting "Waheguru". Dr. C ask your self, why she dont know, was purely because of the lack of education. the primary source of any education is HOME. this showed that non of her family member told her anything about sikhi for 16-17 yrs and you can understand how easy it would be for her to convert into some other religion because she has no clue what her religion is all about? you said: "She blatantly dissed sikihi.. Fateh Jio, dont forget she was out sister and she is still our sister.... so wat if she went on the wrong path for some time, but we all should be thank full to guru ji that our family member has come back to the home. and now when guru ji has given us a chance to learn what can we improve in our community and in our own family, then why shouldn't we take advantage of this and learn something form her bad past and bad company. also, although she had a very very bad time whiel she was on the wrong path, but i think by writing her true story and spreading it into the community, all she wants is that if we start looking after our family and youngster and atleast non of us will have to see again. i dont need to tell whats right and whats wrong happening in our gurdwaras, we all know this. hope you can see the recent examples where on one side we want to stop kaurs converting into khans and on the other side our gurdwaras and supporting weddings where a kaur is getting married with a khan. what do you expect to learn from these places....???????????? this was just one example, we have dozens like this. meat, drink, smoke, dance etc. etc. and that too on the gurdwara premises. dont forget the main intention behind that true was to wake our self and give enough time, attention, education and love to our kids, thats the only way we can stop this from happening to someone in our own family. bhul-chuk maaf karni.
