  1. Joga Singh, I dont see what's so funny about that  My post has nothin to do with praising Shaheeds, and there's certainly nothing wrong with praising them. :|
  2. Mehtab Singh some Panj Pyare say it's ok to let your hair run in flowing water, whereas some say to burn all the kes. If my hair comes out while washing it, I just put it on the side of the shower somewhere (wet hair sticks anywhere anyways) and when I get out eventually, I gather it, just like I would gather my dry hair. I prefer doing that, rather than making it go through the tap. I wouldnt put my kanga down the tap  it's probably dirty down there. As long as you do it with love.
  3. Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Joga Singh, I agree, but none of us should even attempt to stop Waheguru. Whatever happens will happen by Hukam and what can we do or say? We are puppets. Sure it's tough to deal with all of this, but what do we want from this false world anyways. Everything is false. Nothing will last. Its sad but true. Satguru Ji will make everything ok, one day . Til then, lets stay strong
  4. That is an amazing story. Perhaps Guru Maharaj did that on purpose, it was all in Hukam, to show people that Amrit isn't a joke. Lots of people today are not too serious with Amrit, and lots of people break their Amrit but are not punished for it. It's quite sad. Khandey Kee Pahul is sooo keemati. It would be very inspirational if other people on this forum could post messages about their Amrit Sanchaars or when they took Amrit - even describing how Amrit changed their life or helped them. This would provide inspiration to the Sangat. OR if anyone has stories about the Panj Pyare, anything as such, please post! P.S. This could help this thread stay up longer, which is good, as it will be read by more people. Someone please post something inspirational, about the Panj Pyare or about Amrit ( : )
  5. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! I agree with JAPMANS original post. Things don't have to be "perfect", but I agree that people are generally different now, as compared to May, when this happened. We were more united then, and there have been lots of "big" arguments on forums since then. Sunny, it's easy for you to say "life goes on." Try saying that to the close relatives and best friends of those Gursikhs who had known them their whole lives. It's easy to say something like that, but no one understands until they are put in the position themselves. I can understand why this thread was made, and I agree. We should try to remember why Guru Sahib may have done this, perhaps it was to teach us all a lesson. Who knows. Thank you for this thread vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  6. Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru BUMP ! !
  7. This is an amazing post and should be put under the original thread that's in sticky right now, dedicated to Gyani Jee.
  8. What exactly happened? Was it just kids throwing rocks around, or a formal attack on the Gurdwara led by police/government officials?
  9. Then all of the Panth better be awake on this day at 3 or 4 am!! Or at least everyone who visits this forum.. Imagine how powerful that would be
  10. All I can say at this point is one benti that I really really hope you all listen to We, the Sikh Youth of today, need to start reading more Bani, doing more Chaupai Sahib paats, and training physically so we're strong/tough enough to take someone on in hand-to-hand combat (without guns or anything). We need to start getting tougher. Common guys! More Benti Chaupai paats, more Bani, more nitnem, more working out, more becoming like PURATAN SINGHS. Puratan Singhs used to be HUUUUGE - we need to become like them again
  11. EXACTLY!! If you guys need any help complaining or writing letters or doing any such seva PLEASE CONTACT ME and I'll try to find other people that can help with this case. This is an outrage - if it can happen in T.O - it can happen ANYWHERE. Canada's known as one of the most peaceful countries around. There are so many predictions of how life is gonna get harder for Gursikhs in Canada - and people keep saying "no way, it's CANADA, Canada could never ever persecute their own citizens" but it's already happening. Jasdev Singh or any other bros please update us on what action you guys are gonna take. IF YOU NEED ANY HELP, CONTACT THE SANGAT !!! That's what we're all here for.. We're behind u guys all the way - one Panth, one Family, fighting together in everything.
  12. that's exactly what it is sometimes it also feels like there's a hidden power being generated, something really powerful within the Khalsa Panth is being brewed or started, it's like beer rus is starting to grow in all of us waheguru
  13. On the bright side, at least we still have sikhsangat.com and at least we still have all this chardi kala sangat around the world to fall back on and encourage us no matter what happens And at least we still have GURU JEE. Sahib Mera Neet Nava, Sada Sada Daataar. Thank God for Guru Ji, Thank God for Sadh Sangat
  14. Yeah, I guess it is wrong to generalize... It's true that there is a lot of strong Sikhi in our generation. Sometimes I think things are getting better, but nevertheless, they're still on the verge of ending/breaking, and I feel like there's gonna be a new beginning That's just what I've been feeling recently though. I think lots of people understand or feel a similar way but people just don't talk about it Lots of people have been mentioning big changes happening in the near future to the Khalsa Panth. I guess we should just be prepared for anything - good or bad - because we know that IN THE END, everything Guru Sahib does is for the better. All bad will lead to good. hmmm..
  15. After reading all the sangat's replies, I feel that I agree the most with "maaalton", and also S1ngh. vaheguroo
  16. haha S1ngh I was wondering the exact same thing
