    if u gona look at drinking pplz water feet as a foot fettish! the yarrp bro! its maya to the max!! but the rivers of naam amrit flow from the sangat. maha purash. and the 5 pyaare. charan pahul is not idol worship. gurbani says what gurbani says. theres soo much, literally loads! in sukhmani sahib about charan amrit! if u have douts then do this bani. when one gets dib drist, all become that persons guru. these are high avastha galaa. and people (myself included!) who are starting off, will not understand this. getting to the level of dib drist, and then onwards to seeing through to the four corners of existance (chatur chakra) then onwards to ebcomming to sarab byaapak, this is phd, and onwards level of avastha!! its hard enough to explain the normal things.. so id say, do what guru G says. and whatever your understanding is, go to that. whether that be how to do shoe seva, or charan amrit, or any other type of amrit (although all amrit is also the same!). to each their own pathway! that hasbeen blessed by guru G! ik bharam bhoole firihe dehe dis, ik naam laag savaarya!!!!!     hehe! love the cult thing! : ) iv oredy got one, its on fb! : P! and beautiful pangtia G. everything you say, i agree with. to add, when guru G said gur ke charan dhoe dhoe preeva, yes, it means akaal purakh. but what about when saad sangat becomes your guru? if u talk to mahapurash, or talk to people who hav spent time with mahapurash, few will say that 'xyz' mahapurash said that saad sangat is their guru. and whoever understands god, is satguru. satpurakh jin jaanya... washing the feet of the 5 pyaare, and drinking that as charan amrit, is a practice still carried out by asthaans today. and if so many mahapurakh do this, then who are we to say the washing of feet and drinking of that water is wrong? or not right? each guru that was given the seva, that was a deciple of their guru, drank water off their gurus feet. i.e. bhai lehana ji. each of our gurus done that. firstly, i say, who are to to question that. secondly, i also say, that level of avastha is very high and hard to get to.. so, doing shoe seva, yes thas fine, i agree with u about that.. (i dont see any hard in underneath the sole tho! thas where the naam-amrit is! flows from the bottom of the foot...but nyway.. to each their own.) but restricting the level to which you do jore di seva, and take charan pahul, is only going to restrict the person involved. besides, as iv oready mentioned, our gurus did just what u say is not right to do. i.e. the drinking of water off of gurus feet. i do agree with you.. i dont see anything wrong in what you have said.. but i see it as more than 'just' that. please forgiv me.. if not, i myt have to wash n drink ur feet bro!

    no gurbani is misplaced. have a look at what the word deekhiya means.. and how amrit was given to the sangat at the time of guru nanak dev ji (and even at the time of guru gobind singh ji).. most people know that most other people dont agree with doing shoe seva like that. but those that want to create their own writings in the form of a write up, feel free. doing seva like that, is as per that individuals prefference. and no writeup can change what bani says.. if somone say that charan saad ke dhoe dhoe peeo doesnt mean what it says, then u are warping bani. look at how guru nanak dev G braught naam and amrit down from heaven. and then, how this amrit was carried from guru too guru untill guru gobind singh G eternalised it. its a fact that akj sangat, akaali sangat, budda dal sangat, taksaal sangat, all believe in charan thoor from sangat.. and ask any learned sikh, what to do when your mind aint wirking.. its not goog for "anon" guy hu is posting when one person says one thing, and another says another.. as in im saying, guru G s bani says in plain bani, what to do and what is good to do, and someone else is saying no, thas not the case, its a health hazzard. : / ! i woudl suggest to the poster, just read sukhnmani sahib. keertan sohela.. the bani that u do every day, "...santan ki dhoore" .., simply put, bani says what it says.. those that say, it cannot mean this, cuzza this this n this, are trying to limit bani. simples.. i would suggest to u, go to a good gurdwara, find a good nice gyani, id suggest main one soho road, and ask them, what is jore di seva. and y do we put it on our 4head.. it is not ritualistic.. in this sense, reciting ur bani nitnem is a ritual.. most dont understand it what the effect it has on you, so it becomes a ritual. i would sugest to anojn, rad the bani, talk to sum one who you like what who knows.. posting on these forums, well.. its good. but u will get told this is right n that aint.. when, most of the time, its jus the agendas of individual people that they want to impart on you. read bani, and talk to somone that u like.. everyone who i have spoken to in numerous gurdware says, if u cant concentrate, do jore di seva. if ur mind wanders in the main hall, look at the feel of the sangat as they walk. think of the sangats jore (shoes) as your gurus jore. as, u are in guru ghar.. a person will always be limited if they are not at the feet of sangat.. sant jarnail singh ji said, scatter my ashes in front of darbaar sahib for numerous reasons. and being at the feet of the sangat, was one big reason.. talk to people who know.. no those wishing to put fwd their own agendas..

    ^bump. yea, its seva of shoes. each shoe in the gurdwara, you put that on you forhead. with your hands, or cloth, or whatever. hands is best. some people also wash their hands in a bata and drink that as amrit.. (charan saadh ke dhoe dhoe P O ) this is true amrit. each shoe that u take, should be taken as your gurus jore. so u get a shoe, and think, this is the jore (the shoes) of my guru. this is a very very powerfull thing. so simple, yet u can change ur entire life with this! try doing it for 40 days (continous or not) then u will see an amazing difference. forget everything. just look at the shoes. do ur naam simran, and do that seva. yes, u can put it in a line etc.. even u can also bring sum shoe shiner!!! : D then the person comes back and finds their shoes like brand new!!!! :glomp: gurfateh

    it is harder for some people to get away form destiny than others. through karam, it is harder for some people to increase than others. some only fine this at the start.. so basically, its hard to get started.. others, it carries on when they find a way to get started... these things are har to get away from. and the only way is to go to charan. either, of sant, or sangat. i.e. jore di seva. doing bani is good and does halp. but jore di seva, is what u need to do. its ur choice, im not teling u to do it. it can mean that you are destined to be able to handle alot more than normal people so this is why things happen in more of a way to you. giving up makes u stat where u are. meaning, u dont increase how u are destined to increase. karam plays a lota part in it.

    kes... its spiritual antennas.. just like a 'kals' on the top of domes of gurdwaras! wen we do naam simran, the tool of kes become utilised.. if u cut it, its not there to vibrate. so u dont increase in ur spirituality. we have a tongue. kes. the beat of heart. sur. sound. taal. raag. all as tools for us to increase in our spirit. kes gives charecter that our guru G wants. and saves us from becoming self conscious. god is puran (complete). we must become complete in every way if we are to merge back into god.. else, we just aint worthey! emotional n physical completeness 1st. mental n spiritual completeness 2nd.. these are the 4 main parts of us that make us up who we are.. this the key how we are to move further towards the 5th one.. that being >>social<<.. we all want completeness. these 4 catagories govern us, on the completeness 'ladder' so to speak. emotions are the key to everything.. hence jin prem kio. so this is y we start with this first. mental can come second or third. as, some people dont need to know anyhting, to be happy physically as the '>feeling' is enough.. if they feel secure, it can be enough for the physical 'caragory' to become complete within an individual. others, need proof etc.. (proof only goes so far. so this is why, it doesnt reely matter on the large scale of things.) mental completeness well.. most sane people have this. and those that are sane, only get completeness when 'base questions' for them, have been answered (like me). spiritual completeness, is the completeness we aim for, using naam simran,/ bani, seva, and keertan.. it is the path of sikhi. i hope u see that the keeping of hair comes way before walking the path of sikhi. but has a major function in all of sikhi.. hope this helps! gurfateh brother! btw, kes, or kesh, means any hair on the body.

  15. what do people think about the notion that shiv and shakat (anand sahib), are basically two types of energy forms that exist in this universe (and other universes)?? namely, shiv is matter, aka fermions, and shakat is bosons force. "...The two catagories All fundamental particles in nature can be divided into, are known as "bosons" and "fermions," and the dialectic between them describes all physical form....... ........The difference between bosons and fermions is just spin..." to me this means the vibration of naam to create the specific spin in these two types of particles, hence, the entire sristi is standing on naam!!!   17. i agree with akhandeurop "...akath katha kathee na jaae..." forget about askin around. reading books. guru ji says, if u do ur naam simran, u wil experience it (all things related to / and akaal, eg anhad roop anhad bani anhad shabad, sunn, the amrit russ etcc) yourself. gyaan is not found in aimee galaa.

  21. Eloo! Gurfateh Rom-rom Simran is something that is exhibited, or displayed. Meaning that, it is seen in individuals and experienced by them, only when inner feelings and workings are aligned. Which is why we are told to ‘go inwards’ for our bhagti and naam simran. Once our surti is steady, and ‘tik-ed’ (stable / at peace / at one with naam simran), we start to feel at peace. Then we carry on with the naam simran train to god. Then, u feel a click. Some people experience this click slowly, others, it’s literally a click. This click is what bani talks as a teer to your heart. But its not heart, its hirda.. (some people say, where’s the hirda?.., its 10 finger widths down, from where u speak from. Aka, near enough your chest. In sidh gorst, >tre sat angul vaaee keheeai<.) so this teer that u experience, will have been experienced throughout your naam simran stages that u climb. So..., imagine a druggie. He hears bani, it hits him. Then he thinks to change his ways. Then, he does naam simran. Then few months down the line, it hits him again, and he starts to take active roles in learning bani, and keertan and so on.. in naam simran, the teer will hit, and overcome you. This is where the so called ‘bani / naam simran shakti’ comes from. (jus to say also, bani has come from naam). So ur feeling the naam. Then u ‘go quiet’ as most people say. (cuz ur simran is going into urself – so its very key to be able to comtrol this and not speak during this process etc..) Then, with the sutra tik-ed, naam simran overcomes your body. And ur hair stands up in waves, as described by people. Guru naanak dev ji sez in jupji sahib, let each hair on my body, become a tongue. There are 50 billion, Billion, hairs on average human body. So, when u say 1 waheguru, your entire body will vibrate with that, to turn it into the ‘fal’ (fruits) of saying waheguru 50 billionbillion times. When u get to these levels, u move away from the notion, that naam is a word. Then u get into the viewpoint that naam is something else entirely, and the ‘word’ as such, is a means to realise naam. Then, bout 2-3months later, u will start slipping into the sunn reality. (Note: all timelines that iv sed, are on the assumption that u do simran everyday). Guru ji has given us tools to do naam simran, however, some of these need to be unlocked. We have tongue, footsteps, the beat of the heart, hair, surti, etc. All are tools to jup the naam to open the tenth gate, and go onward to the journey to god, to then meet god, and to get the true mukti, to merge with him. Through these tools, we slip into the sunn, where nothing is, aka god, and then we travel to make the journey to him. U don’t need to worry about sunn just yet. U will know when it happens. Swaas swaas simran, and rom rom simran, are near enough, siblings. They come together, >near enough. Science says, the breath is the link from conscious mind to the subconscious mind. They right obviously.. there’s evidence. Same goes for naam simran. Using the breath, ur rom rom simran can be unlocked. Guru ji also said in jupji sahib, that inside the mind, there are jewls, >rattan javaahar maanik<. Also, jus to say, jupji sahib, is amazing to do for ur dasam dwaar. But to feel its power, is also hard and u need effort, aka kamaaee. Some people try focussing on getting this and that going e.g. gota get the rom rom simran going, but, this is the wrong way to do it. Focusing on the shabad, and trueness, is the way, and all will align for the tenth gate to open. Rom rom simran makes u shine. Glow. I wish I was blessed with this gift also. We have been given 5 senses, ontop of this, guru ji has given us gifts in our body. Through which, we are able to climb the levels. And even get the ridh sidh, which is relatively rely low level. Meaning, its not too too hard to get ridh sidh.so.. yh.. U also mentioned about hearing things. This is very high avastha things. Its after ur in the sunn avastha level for a while. Then u start to hear naam. The vibration of god. And no, its not the white noise u hear if ur ear pops! If u do hear that white noise, its good sign, it means ur ears are sorting themselves out to get redy to hear the naad. Aka, the sound. High level stuff. Ppl that hear this, are very close to god, hence, close to themselves. Simply, 1. be patient... you cannot push what cannot be pushed. 2. jup naam with reverence and conviction... strive to success. 3. jup for the love of jupping it... within randomness, is utter beauty. Utter. These are my rules that iv found. All of bani is naam. Take jaap sahib.. Aad – the beginning --> aka, waheguru! Roop – the true saroop --> aka, waheguru! Anaad – never ending --> aka, waheguru! Moorat – the true moorat --> aka, waheguru! Ajorn - akaal --> aka, waheguru! Purakh – sat-purakh --> aka, waheguru! Apaar – totally, nex level --> aka, waheguru! All of bani is naam. Bani comes form naam. And >through naam, we merge into waheguru. We start to see naam everywhere. Then eventually, see god everywhere. We start to see sarab byaapak. And then some.. it goes on.. no point in talking bout it.. although, info is good. And reely does help.. gives some clarity.. etc. Its all about the journey. Not so much the end result. Reward is given to manz that earn it. Else, no reward! God wants us to n-joi ourselves. So..! jup like never before!!!!!! (im not telling u to specifically do anything, its the choice of the individual!.   22. i personally think kes give character. it helps u radiate. radiate the goodness thats within u. i see the guys in fims (cuz i watch loads ) and they got totally clean shaven faces etc. it looks fake. have to become puran in every way to merge with the puran aka, god. its hard, i myself question other parts of myself most days. (my actions and other things.. i believe everything should go to infinity! meaning, if the action is true on all levels, its a true and righteous.) everyone makes mistakes, with their mind, as in thinks the rong things, and even sumtimes loose grasp of their thoughts. key is to try. and to not hurt ppl. and the most importent, to not hurt urself. >self pity will kill a person, take it from me!< this is the road u choose if you, as a sikh, chose to move away from sikhi. its a slippery slope. i have been down that road. and seen many others in this type of predicament. most guys think they wont pull, most gals think they will get the p taken outta them. but i feel, keeping kes, weeds out the idiots from ur life (apperance wise) as per dalbirSingh sez. and ur left with ppl who see past ur apprearance, and into your heart, and appreciate ur mind, and moreso, see u glow. everyone makes mistakes. however some mistakes can be eaisly stopped, with the correct way of thinking. gurmat. at the end of it all, >>prem bhagat parvaha, preet publee na hutaee || satgur sabad athaaha, ameya dhara ras gutae<< basically meaning, preet is the only thing that matters. and satgur shabad, is nex level (i.e. it wil help you) and when u do the shabad, u get the true amrit (within urself) and get the ras.. its good u question keeping kes. it shows u want to take amrit ( hope in right.) else, if ur already amritdhari, well.. rehet is most importent! i went down the rong path 5 years back, and i regreted it. since then, my principles, both personal and regards to rehet, have changed and become stronger. u will find this too.. with me it was to do with sum1. so if its the same with you, take a step back, kane the bani and ardaas (with viraag). then go and absolve urself by speaking to the person that got to u. thas what i dun! wish u well in ur endevours!! gurfathe!!
  23. sikhi says, you will not know whether anything exists or doesnt exist simply by using ur brain how >u< see fit.. its done by trial and error through means of how the brain should be used as per its full potential. guru ji says, dont take my word for it, jup it! seeing is believing! one can say all they like till they go blu in the face that theres a god. and i suppose, (using the cogntive part of the brain) nothing exists unitll new information is recieved refuting the non-existance of that thing (a very crappy way to look at life, but robust non the less as it ensures that the person is always right giving them peace of mind and comfort in this robust way of thinking. (like, is one not-guilty or guilty until proven otherwise.) so all that can be done is to be shown the path how others realised XYZ aka god, and for that person to realise the truth for themselves. most ppl who have shaken faith, walk the path, come to a road block in their spiritual journey, i.e. death of a daughter in darwins case, and conclude that there cant be a god if god let my daughter pass away. walk the path instead of cocooning urself in happy places where everything makes sense untill a new thing comes along and proves u wrong. live a little! jup jup jeeva satgur naao! vahaaaa!!!!!!! :D :D seeing everything as it is untill other things are proven, gives no >solid< base onto which to build a personality. its good as per scientific things and investigatin after all, whats the point in not trying to understand his creation? . but imagine if u base ur entire life on somthing that is rooted in a belief that is true one time, and gets over ruled 50 years later! like FTL neutrinos walk the path, to see the light. seeing is believing. this is guru nanak dev jis msg. y else tell us to jup! and giv ~250 years of katha (sggs) to tell humanity that, to just jup it! in soo many rehetnamas, guru gobind singh ji and gurus and mata ji, say "guru guru japna, janam sau-re-ga" meaning, jus jup it, ur life will become complete. jus jup it n see. this is the choice wev bin given. hence theres a destiny and choice. and to guide us within decicions of that choice, what do we have? dhan guru granth sahib maharaj to guide us. rather, its less guidance, and more to pachaan the hukam. as all is under hukam ;D (feel ive sed too much gen.. : / ) lets gope theres at leat 1 gaak.. p.s. im in the same boat as all of you!!
