  1. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Im going to Hazur Sahib for the 300saal celebrations. My friend has booked our plane and train tickets, however no one seems to know how long it will take to get from Mumbai to Nanded. If anyone knows for sure can you let me know or where I can find out from? Thanks Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  2. WJKK WJKF Hmmmmm it does begin to sound soo much more trickier than than before?!?!!? I am assuming it would include processed foods aswell, but like I said it is sooooooo difficult. Honestly speaking I do know Singhs that dont eat out and only some processed foods. WJKK WJKF
  3. WJKK WJKF Standard rehat maryada's say that Amritdharee's should eat food prepared by another amritdharee, for basic sucham. So basically you should not eat out. This is quite a strict rehat and quite hard to keep but it depends on the rehat you were given when you took amrit. People then usually ask; not all sewadaars who prepare langar are amritdharee so how come we can eat langar? The basic answer is that we do Bhog to langar and so it has been accepted by Gurusahib. There have been instances when Langar has been tampered with and so has been re-made. WJKK WJKF
  4. WJKK WJKF I dont actually know for sure, but I have checked the Offensive Weapons Act 06/ Criminal Justice Act 88 and both dont actually state a size. As the kirpan is worn for religious reasons you should be able to explain why a certain length is required. E.g my brother is quite tall/big so he wears a nine inch as it fits his body. So you should have a reasonable excuse for the length. Hope that helps. WJKK WJKF
  5. WJKK WJKF Its getting quite tiring having all these controversies raised against dharmic Granths. Its amazing how we all (incl. me) seem to believe we are so well educated that we can question anything. Rather than criticising and questioning everything we should should respect what we dont understand. None of us (incl. me) have enough knowledge to find out for ourselves what the truth is behind Sarbloh Granth sahib. How would you feel if you found out it was written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and all this time you have been thinking that its just some randomn thing written by some randomn dude? So instead why dont we respect it and try to embrace it as an addition to our Sikhi, or easily just leave it alone? There is hardly any point in creating a thread regarding an article that can be edited by anyone, no one needs your permission or approval. Bhul chuk maaf WJKK WJKF
  6. WJKK WJKF You can try this website it seems to be okay if you want basic info: http://www.info-sikh.com/SauPage1.html The Raj Karega Khalsa sakhi is in the Karninama by Guru Nanak Dev Ji see: http://forums.waheguroo.com/lofiversion/index.php/t9662.html WJKK WJKF
  7. WJJK WJKF I use the mala in a strictly gupt way, it keeps your concentration on the simran. It is nice when your at work and you have a few minutes to do some simran, the mala reminds you to always doing naam simran. If it is something that helps you to do simran or reminds you to do simran it cant be a bad thing? I realli didnt getthe whole number counting thing from the other forum??!?! WJKK WJKF
  8. WJKK WJKF Is it alrite to use a mala/simran? I have had several debates with people and we cant seem to agree. I wear a simran and I also have a mala. However some people feel that it is antisikhi to be using one?? Just wanted to know what the general consensus was? WJKK WJKF

  10. WJKK WJKF I have to agree with the last two posts, Khalsa Raj will be established in our lifetimes. WJKK WJKF
  11. WJKK WJKF I have recently had katha from a learned Singh he touched upon the topic of Khalsa Raj and the return of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. (that is where the orginal q ties in) The sakhi that has been quoted is a another reinforcement of the katha. We all feel that rather than waiting for this fairytale to come true we ourselves should do something. We forget that without Waheguru's kirpa we cant breathe. We should accept that the future is not in our hands. Whatever will happen throughtout the sikh panth is Maharaj's will. We should all be saying that when Guru Maharaj comes we will be tiar bar tiar. Can I add that I am not denying that Maharaj is not with us, we have Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj as our eternal father. Al I would like to say is that if it does say in Sau Sakhi about the return of Guru Maharaj we should at least think about it. WJKK WJKF
  12. Thank-you It ties in with Sau Sakhi and the end of Kalyug.
  13. Sorry my post wasnt very clear "Char Thakt, Panjva Thakt Bhudda Dal 96 crore di kamai dha dhiane dhar ke bholo ji sri Waheguru" I wanted to know what the significane of 96 crore was??
  14. WJKK WJKF I have come across a Buddha Dal gutka, the ardas contains a section under the fifth thakt saying-96 crore. I cant seem to find the significance of 96 crore. Can anyone enlighten me?
  15. Hmmmm..........a disturbing video, whilst Gurbani is being recited in any form we are supposed to cover our heads as a mark of respect. The Dastaar is the crown of the Sikh, he is doing beadbi of his Dastaar, Kesh and Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. His cult however feel that this "reaction" is very spiritual?!?!?!?!?! Then again they believe there is a human man as the current Guru of the Sikhs?!?!?!?!?! Sorry if I appear to be side tracking. Naturally it cant be helped if you really feel the power of Bani, however please keep in mind that there is certain conventions that we follow in the presence of Antarjami Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
