A Nihung Singh is someone who has done sewa in the Dal Panth (ie Budha Dal). Just by wearing a dhumalla or Banaa does not make you a Nihung Singh. azaad paaji,each and every singh is a nihung..baki zarroi ne u must do sewa then ur a nihung..if u follow the way of nihung style and wear banaa and dhammal ur a nihung singh yes its good u must do sewa in dal to know their renee benee that i agree ............. Budha Dal Akaalis are from 6th Maharaaj's time and Budha Dal Akaalis became Budha Dal Akaali Nihangs when Baba Fateh Singh Jee tied dumalla. Budha Dal has been given the responsibility to take care of Akal Takht by 6th Maharaj. I also feel Budha Dal Jathedaar = jathedaar of Akaal Takht(NOT punjavan takht) + Head Granthi Harmandir Sahib. Jathedaar of Dal Khalsa(Budha Dal + Bidhi Chand Dal + more Dals can be added with time) = Jathedaar of punjavan Takht + Head of the Panth. I feel that AKJ can be made a Dal , kes-ki is/can be a kakaar for the Dal(this kes-ki helps in tying dohraa dastaar). I feel we have the perfect model for the UNITY of the panth here.

In other topic going on this forum, Veer Valli Singh Jeeoo stated that Budha Dal is the 5 takht which is always on the move and keeps a check on the 4 other takhts. I was just thinking about this and I find that this is not completely in accordance with gurmat. Reason for that is only Guru Sahib is 100 % correct. A sikh(irrespective of his avastha) can never be 100 % perfect. As a result if Budha Dal keeps a check on the 4 jathedaars of 4 takhts, there has to be someone who can keep a check on the Budha Dal Jathedaar as well...... I have a feeling that period between 1704-1708 is a very important period in this khalsa history. I have an intution that this might have happened : Guru Gobind Singh Jee started a samparda, named Damdami Taksal and appointed Baba Deep Singh Jee as the first jathedaar. Damdami Taksal = police of Khalsa nation + school of gurbani education. After this Guru Sahib, after giving amrit to Baba Banda Singh Jee,and made Baba Banda Singh Jee the commandar in chief of Dal Khalsa (army of Khalsa Nation). Guru jee gave him 5 singhs who could advice/HUKAM to Baba Banda Singh Jee. Punj singhs can only do benti to Guru Sahib( as happened during Chamkaur jung when punj singhs did benti to Guru Sahib to leave the fort) but can give hukam to the commander in chief of the army of Khalsa nation. So basically, there are 4 takhts and 1 Damdami Taksali and their jathedaars are the 5 Singh Sahibaan. Dal Khalsa is the chakarvarti punjavan takht. This model makes very good sense to me. Jathedaar of Dal khalsa= Head of army + Head of Khalsa Nation Jathedaar of Damdami Taksal = Head of Police + Principal of school of gurbani education. Jathedaars of 4 Takhts + Jathedaar of Damdami Taksal = 5 Singh Sahibaan who can advice and in some rare case even hukam to Jathedar of Dal Khalsa. I am not trying to be pro-nihang or something. Lets forget all the mess of the last 150 years, all the differences in rehit-maryadas for a minute and assume that we are the panth of 1708. This model makes perfect sense to me.

Dear Veer, I can understand from where u are coming. Its a free world and if u wish to take cannabis/hemp(in reasonable amounts), u have the freedom. At the same time, hukka(smoking non-tobacco drugs) is a bajjar kurehit(cardinal sin) in my book. IF u wish to take hemp/cannabis, dont smoke it.(u are IMMENSELY hurting the fellow sikhs by smoking ). I have gone through that phase of my life. I might be 25 but I have really become an EXTREMELY sauuuuuu and darvess person, hahahahahhaha. My love for germans is not because I feel they are some pure race. Infact, I love dutch more than germans. I feel a sikh who believes in caste, colour shud be thrown out of the panth. At the same time, I feel one's ancestory history, one's occupation has an effect on ones personality (these effects can be nullified by huge amount of naam kamayee but there are few people who are able to do that much kamayee). Last time, I was in europe I had really good time with germans. I was a mona then and I taught them bhangra and brrruuaaa. They were pretty sincere to me. Shaheedi degh(with 5 leaves) can be taken. It is very good for digestive and nervous system. Shaheedi degh has a place in our rehit maryada but the type of sikhs we have these days, they will say "oh this is maha paap, maha manmatt". They will call a person like me bhanggii, nasherriiii, mad, hahahahahahahahahahahaha.
