  2. Ek amli da Radio kharaab ho janda hai. Khol ke dekhda hai ta andar Chuha(mouse) marya(dead) hunda hai. Dekh ke Amli kehnda hai: "Lai Eh Chaalda kithon?! Gayak (Singer) taan andar mareya(dead) peya hai !"
  3. Amli: Doctar ji tuhanu tankay lagonay aunde hun? Dr: Haan ji, daso kithay lagonay ne? Amli: Aa lo ji chapal te la do…!
  4. I was reading this new magazine online, it's called "See-Q". Well, anyway, they have this section called 'Dear Baksho'. Baksho, an agony aunty, solves the daily problems that Sikh youngsters face. Well, here's a problem...and her given solution: Yo Baksho, what’s happenin? Got some beef, mi old Bibi givin me grief. Woke up in the morning and said ‘Yo! Respec, Gran!’ Before I know it I’m getting a backhand off the old man. What’s the shizzle with the nizzle? I’ve asked your Uncle Mangy to translate. We think you’re asking why you got a slap off your ‘Old Man’. I think your ‘Old Man’ knows what’s best for you young man. Im sure your Bibi and Dad would prefer you to greet them with ‘Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh (WJKK WJKF)’ thus showing respect to your elders. In the normal situation when two Sikhs meet, with folded hands on either side in mutual courtesy and respect they exchange greetings of WJKK WJKF pointing out the glory of God to each other. In literal Words WJKK WJKF means the Khalsa belongs to God, Victory belongs to God. WJKK WJKF has been used since the creation of the Khalsa. Good reply eh?
  5. Well this is supposed to be the 'Fun Section'... So does anyone have any jokes to share? I know most of us live quite stressful lives. But you know even God has a sense of humour?! He too laughs...and he adores the sight of his children laughing. Share something...

  8. I didnt know people are so ignorant - there was no such thing called India at that time (even the word didn't exist ) - It was all small princely states with by now a very weak mughal ruler - Bahadur Shah - you seriously need a lesson in Indian history. I will definitely consider the History lessons. Thank you. =)
  9. Ever been to Uttar Pradesh? Visit Gurudwara Shri Nanak Mata Sahib... It is located in the district of Uddam Singh Nagar (Rudrapur), UP. Maharaj Ji went to this place with Bhai Mardana Ji on his third Udasi. At that time it was was called Gorakhmata and was under the control of Sidhs. These Sidhs used their occult powers to loot the poor people around this area. Maharaj Ji went to this place in the winter season, so it was quite cold. Maharaj Ji sat under a Pipal tree and went Samadhi Leen, however, Bhai Mardana Ji felt cold. Bhai Mardana Ji saw these sidhs and asked them to lit him a fire for warmth. However, these Sidhs ridculed him and said 'ask your Guru'. Maharaj Ji at once lit a fire for Bhai Mardana Ji. The weather changed and all the sudden, it started to rain. The fires lit by Sidhs were all gone out from the rain but the fire lit by Maharaj Ji remained 'lit'. This surprised the Sidhs and they apologized the next morning, however, they were still proud of their powers and went on showing them OFF. They tried to lift up the Pipal tree, same tree under which Maharaj Ji sat and meditated, from its roots. Maharaj Ji placed his hand on the tree and it stopped wherever it was. You can still see this tree at the Gurudwara Sahib and it's roots are still somewhat out. But it's there. These Sidhs gave up their ways after apologizing again and starting meditating in his love instead for these so called powers. The Sidhs after receiving 'Mat' from Maharaj Ji changed the name of this place to Nanak Mata. Sahib Shri Guru Hargobind Maharaj Ji also went to Nanak Mata Sahib. He had to since these Sidhs once again occupied this now 'Holy' land which Shri Nanak Sahib touched with his Holy Charan. These Sidhs left when Maharaj Ji again went there in his sixth form. The tree at that time was dead...It dried up. You know how all you saints experience the state of 'Bairaag' in his love? Thats what happened to the tree. After Maharaj left it dried up in his love. And when Maharaj Ji came back in his sixth form, he touched the tree. And it was brought to life again. It was green again. It's all about love. That tree must be blessed...such love. Waheguru. It was the tree calling Maharaj Ji, the sidhs occuping the land was just a Choj. Nothing else... Also, now if you visit...There is a water body behind the Gurudwara Sahib. It's called Shri Nanak Sagar. Bhai Mardana Ji was thirsty and there was no sign of water. He complained to Maharaj Ji about his thirst. Maharaj Ji said 'Mardane saade naal chaleah chal, piche mur ke na dekhin.' Bhai Maradana got so curious that he ended up looking back. A whole river had followed them from the point where they started walking to the Gurudwara Sahib. It stopped when Bhai Mardana Ji looked back. Maharaj Ji laughed and said 'asin kya si ke piche mur ke na dekhi, hun dekh tun naadi rok ti.' Bhai Mardana Ji was speechless in his love and drank the water in gratitute. This water body is there still flowing for the love of the divine and his devotee. Maharaj Ji and Bhai Mardana Ji. Oh gosh...I wrote so much. Sowwie.
  10. Sigh...Okay. Ji, if going in the Sangat then one should wear such clothing that they feel 'peaceful' in. If whatever you are wearing to the Gurudwara Sahib makes you concious about people staring at you, then you are definitely not feeling very peaceful. And yes, you are distracting others too. In sangat, we go for the company(Sangat) of the souls(Aatmaas) not the bodies. It is never about the bodies. And you can overcome the thoughts of your body by doing Mool Mantra. It takes your concious away from the body to the 'Aatmic Mandal'.
  11. Yes, but by staying within 'INDIA'. He didn't tell him to create a separate country. =)
  12. Waheguru. You are such a deep soul. Yes, I do believe 'constant' practice of NAAM (Waheguru) will lead to a permanent state of bliss. Isn't that our goal though? To merge into the Brahm (God)...and then not just merge but also to keep on going deeper and deeper into him. Reminds me of 'Suraj Kiran Mile, Jal Ka Jal Huya Raam...'
  13. GOD IS GREAT: I think they are talking about the sevadar doing 'Chaur Sahib' seva for Maharaj Ji. I've seen in a few pictures that when Sahib Shree Guru Gobind Singh Ji used to sit on his throne, before the Sangat in a Deeban, the sevdar STOOD behind him for Chaur Sahib seva. So I see where you are coming from. Yes, it should be done the same way to Sahib Shree Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj because Maharaj Ji is still obviously present, however, now in his 'Shabad' form. The expection can be when there is 'Paath' going on. Then I suppose the person reciting Gurbani can do Chaur Sahib seva.
  14. You do eh? Ji, 'Khalsa' will take over. This is no joke. There will be a count of 'Tera' all over the WORLD. This day is yet to come and it's making its way to us 'rapidly'. However, if Sikh fanatics take over a small piece of land then yes that spells D I S A S T E R. I can see that this small 'nation' will be under the control of MILITANTS. I wish to not explain anything else ANY further. I apologize if any of my comments have hurt you. Your thoughts are respected fully. Thank you for sharing them.
  15. Waheguru, I so happy for you Bibi. You chose to depend on the 'Great Power' itself. Very proud of you. Not many are capable of relying on Maharaj Ji like this. You did/do. Keep it up. No one can answer anything better than Maharaj Ji, himself. But Bibi make sure you don't 'keep on' getting stuck in such questions. It's now time to see above ALL questions. Start listening to your soul. It is Maharaj Ji's light itself. It shall help you---always.
  16. If this happens...I see major destruction. No offense to your opinion whatsoever. I respect your thoughts completely. If whatever you are wishing for... happens then for sure females will have no right to do anything independently. They'll be even 'more' sidelined than they are being now. Sikhs, today, are all over the world. They are distributed by Akal Purakh to spread his message across to the 'separated souls'. Why disturb the process? Guru Nanak Sahib went to two villages once. One village was full of faithless cynics whilst the other was full of Gursikhs. To the faithless cynics, Maharaj Ji said, "may you people always stay 'together' in this one village only and never move elsewhere". However, to the Gurmukhs, Maharaj Ji said, "Urjadh Jao". Means...Spread over the world. Don't limit yourself to one or two villages. Spread his message to the whole world. Take over the world! Dream big...why get stuck in ONE country? Make everyone/everything yours. Spread his message of LOVE.
  17. Ji, laughing at others doesn't make anyone humble. If someone has given their opinion, then we should respect it. They have a right to express their feelings. There are two ways of explaining things to others: nicely or rudely. Why wouldn't you choose the more compassionate way? He resides in every heart. You hurt someone's heart, you've hurt him. Why would you hurt someone by trying to oversmart them? If you don't agree with something that someone has suggested or said then tell them nicely instead of laughing at them or making them feel so low. Ji, Maharaj Ji is very sensitive. Very sensitive. When you hurt people's feelings, he gets really upset. Their soul cries. And he hears only the soul, the mind is not even allowed to be near him since it's full of ego. ਨੀਚਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਨੀਚ ਜਾਤਿ ਨੀਚੀ ਹੂ ਅਤਿ ਨੀਚੁ ॥ neechaa andhar neech jaath neechee hoo ath neech || Nanak seeks the company of the lowest of the low class, the very lowest of the low. ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਥਿ ਵਡਿਆ ਸਿਉ ਕਿਆ ਰੀਸ ॥ naanak thin kai sang saathh vaddiaa sio kiaa rees || Why should he try to compete with the great? ਜਿਥੈ ਨੀਚ ਸਮਾਲੀਅਨਿ ਤਿਥੈ ਨਦਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਖਸੀਸ ॥੪॥੩॥ jithhai neech samaaleean thithhai nadhar thaeree bakhasees ||4||3|| In that place where the lowly are cared for-there, the Blessings of Your Glance of Grace rain down. ||4||3|| I hope no one attacks me for this post... Waheguru, Ji, May Maharaj Ji take all of you in his fold tightly... =)

    Just Cant Move On

lol other fish eh? Awww of course you aren't bad but you need to understand what my physics teacher says "$hit happens, move on". Good to hear that you are not even thinking about suicide. It is such a stupid step. Gosh! Anyway, as for harming your body, this too is a very lame thing to do. Maharaj Ji gave you the body so you can use it to meet him. But if you start torturing his gifts then are you making him very happy? Errr...no, not really. Then why do that? Take care of your body. Use it to meet HIM. Don't harm such a precious gift which even the Devtas (Angels) are longing to receive. Tik ah Ji? As for you not being able to wipe away your past, know one thing: Your past is well your past. It cannot repeat itself and nor can you live it AGAIN. Your future is yet to happen. So don't even worry about it. Life is lived in the moment of NOW. Seize the moment. Start living. Live for everyone not just HER. See the beauty of this moment. Take a walk. Admire his 'Kurat'. Look at a Rose. Look at how deep or light the colour is of that Rose is. The creator must've been experimenting with colours...you think? ;-) May Maharaj Ji bless you with his 'SEVA'...

    Just Cant Move On

Go for a walk. Fall in love with the Nature. Unconditional love. 'Nature' includes everything not just one or two people from 'this world'. Appreciate his 'Kudrat' unconditionally. As for suicide, it can only make matters worse for you. Your spirit will roam around feeding on worms and feces waiting to be liberated. Since you have taken "Amrit', he surely will come to help your spirit out...but that too depends on your previous deeds. It can take 'yugs' or it can take 'years'. Why bother with suicide? Thinking about that girl you have forgotten about the mother who gave birth to you... How come? That girl helped you with what you call 'Sikhi'. Good. But she left you. Did your mother leave you? Or your father leave you? How come you don't even think about them? How selfish... Think about it. Did she really help you with what you've referred to as 'Sikhi'? To be a Sikh means to love your Guru...unconditionally. Do you love him? Seems like you only love that ONE person, whereas, he exists in all. Maharaj Ji says to love everyone, everything. Please seize the moment. Go to Sahib Shree Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj and tell him that you are his--- forever. Das Jaan Kar Kirpa Karo Mohe, Har Para Main Aan Duaar Tohe May Maharaj Ji bless you with his 'Seva' soon...
