  1. Well, a well known relative came over yesterday and we all having a good time. Well I have a calander of Sant Bhindranwale Ji and all the Shaheeds of '84 and he happened to notice it. He asked me whether I was Khalistani and we got into a conversation. BTW, he even admitted that he hasn't researched it or anything but he couldn't help but ask - If Bhindranwale was such a Sant and soldier why didn't he come out instead of allowing the Akal Takht to fall, like how Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave Kurbani. Of course I gave some reasons but not very believable ones. My dad sort of defended it and gave some reasons but not very believable ones. This man is coming over today and I want to convince him that Bhindranwale was truly great. Got anything?
  2. Thanks for clearing this up for me!
  3. xD I was in so much of a hurry I write it wrong! The thing is they go around telling peeps to try fasting for one day and after that start whining lol. It's stupid yeh I know but I wanna know why we don't believe in fasting and Ramadan...
  4. WJKK, WJKF! Well, these muslims in my school, who are now fasting, are always whining during the day that they are hungry. So of course I say why don't you eat then. Then this argument arises over why I should fast (lol) and they tell me to try it for one day. Fasting and the concept of Ramadan is condemned in our religion, but they won't believe why. Please reply. WJKK, WJKF!
  5. I always tell her shaheed stories every night and so and developing her Sikhi now so all of this will be natural. Now she only ties when we go Gurdwara.
  6. lol its mainly me man :glare: oops i uploaded one of me on my own. a well
  7. xD my cousins look SO weird...
  8. WJKK, WJKF! Yea I finally learnt how to tie a dumalla. (YAY!) Anyways so I thort Id spread the kushi(happiness lol) and tied turbans on my cousins and my sis. The pics are attached.
  9. LOL! Yeh for some reason so many kids at our school have showed up in a dastaar! The patka looks kinda of weird on older boys heads! Some tie their joora at the back and put their patka over it. I hate that!
  10. 12 jee chota veer, don't get me wrong, but did you receive amrit yet? the only reason i ask, is that if you look a certain way (bana- or in the case of girls, even a dastaar), people will assume that you're amritdhari, and possibly make other assumptions about you and your level of responsibility, devotion, etc. so i'm not saying don't do it, but just be ready for people to treat you differently. when i started wearing a dastaar (6 months before amrit), everyone was like, "oh, you took amrit" and started treating me completely differently. it was kind of weird that the way we look can make such a huge difference in the way we are treated! anyway, i admire your enthusiasm for sikh at that age! i pray that it only grows from here. Lol nope. Not Amritdhari yet. Only a few people in my family are Amirtdhari. As far as I know we have a nihung in our family, but, apart from him, it's just mainly like distant relatives who are old and amritdhari. I also wore a dataar to school this past week and people seem to respect me much more. Except for a mona and a Singh who always despise me :glare: .
  11. lol i pressed it to many times, oops...

    Chola

I was talking to my dad about getting a chola and he was totally cool with it. But my mother is always shouting saying "You're to young" and "Where are you gonna go wearing a chola." People always tell me, and are right in saying so, bani before bana. I am really getting into Bani. I do paath when ever possible but I feel to express my self fully as a Sikh I need my bana. I like to think Sikhi as a bird, a bird needs both wings equally balanced to fly right? Both wings are bani and bana. If you take one away obviously you ain't gonna fly, or in case of Sikhi not to your full extent. I need help convincing my mum. BUT HOW!? :gg:
  13. Finally someone wo feels my pain! My mum dont let me either. My dads ok with it but my mums always like Youre to small and junk like that. Ive learnt to kinda overcome and i always tie my dumalla in front of her. She sometimes tells me to take it off but she's getting used to it. Sometime soon, I shall wear it always!! :hi5
  14. Well I've been wearing a dastaar to school for the past week, I cut the material and all and in my opinion looked really great! Even the Bhai at the Gurdwara and a few Singh passer byers thought it looked good as well. But for some reason this Singh who's whole family is Gursikh, seems to always target me saying 'Your pagg gets crapper after every second' I don't know what his problem is, it's most likely jealousy and judging by his normal antics, he can't stand anyone else as Sikh as him. What should I say to him?
  15. WJKK WJKF! Satnam Waheguru, My parents keep arguing and my Dad evenn threatened to leave the house. It's getting out of control and I am very afraid. I try Jap Namm and do paath and sometimes Ardas and even now, they are arguing, I am just so sad and angry. I even go Gurdwara everyday. Please help me!
  16. Done! Damn, so many peepz are from west midlands!!
  17. Shall i fold it up like a normal turban? O and ye since you dont cut it, how are your larrs so smooth?
  18. I snipped it, but I cant brin myself to tear it. Im scared it wont work
  19. WJKK, WJKF! I recieved mal mal material from my uncle in punjab, and am lookin to wear it a lot often, then i do now. But Its about 25cm wide and needs to be thinner, shall i cut it, or leave it. Please tell me! WJKK, WJKF
