When you hear of Gursikhs getting up as early as 12 to start their amritvela, it was to add more hours to their amritvela. I've been going to Reansbhaees for a long time, so I know the time has been cutting down. In the past it used to finish up to 6, then 5.....and now 4am ???? We should keep it up to at least 5am. Also, whole night keertan (reansbhaee) means passing through all the 4 watches of the night. So, whole night isn't the same as finishing at 12 Midnight. Anyway, the Reansbhaee was WIKID!!!!

okayy?..... so then.... we shouldn't do nitnem cause thats a ritual we shouldn't do naam abhiyaas at amritvela cause thats a ritual we shouldn't keep our hair cause thats a ritual we shouldn't bow down to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji cause thats a ritual etc You make what it is! We just simply see it as not letting it seperate from our body because Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji said so. Whatever Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji tell his sikhs to do is exactly what Sri Guru Granth Sahib is telling us too. Theres no difference. Guru Gobind Singh ji wants us to be pure inwardly and outwardly thats why he gave us those rehits e.g. keeping hair, etc, and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji gave us teachings to pure our internal self. The only way to know this spiritually is to accept the teachings of all the Guru's and see them as one light. In dasam Granth, Guru Gobind Singh ji said those that don't see all the Guru's as one cannot progress spiritually.

Why does the poster say its finishing at 4am? It should at least finish at 5am, otherwise it can't be called a reansbhai (whole night keertan), can it? can't wait though.

Do you even know where your dasam dwaar is? I mean from experience, not because someone told you where it is. Dasam dwar is the crown of the head which is same place non-sikhs believe the seventh chakra is. Many saints have stated this and daas knows its true from experience Jaap naam and find out for yourself if you don't take others word for it. to the OP, yes, there should be a top knot at the crown of the head. Not at the back, not at the front but the centre

I'm not going to this program but who cares if it clashes with the the 1million chaupai sahib bhog smagam. Its already been arranged so its too late to say anything. Just don't go this program and let others go if they want to. I'm sure there will be plenty of people going to the 1million chaupai sahib samgam anyway.

If you have the STTM2 software, you can get baavan akhri as a pdf file. Download here for STTM2 Go into the 'view' tab and select 'Adobe pdf' > from the left menu go into 'compiled banis' > Guru Granth Sahib Ji > and finally Baavan Akhri Or go on srigranth.org to page/ang 250 and paste it into a word document. hope that helped gurfateh
