  1. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a copy of this Film. Here are the details: Title: My Mother India Documentary Colour, Sound, 52 min. Year: 2001 Distributor: McNabb & Connolly Synopsis: My Mother India is a moving account of writer/director Sabina Uberoi's parents' mixed-race marriage and her own quest for identity. Patricia, Sabina's mother, a young Australian woman, falls in love with an Indian Ph. D. student and moves to New Delhi with him in the 60s. What begins as a quirky and humorous documentary about an eccentric, multicultural family unfolds into a complex commentary on the social, political and religious events of the anti-Sikh riots of 1984, which tore this family apart. This is a powerful story of love and hate, exile and belonging, loss of identity and return to faith.

  9. I guess I should have added 'after speaking to numerous of my close friends who are Hindu...' No problem ... I don't think you're picking on me, just presenting your view as I'm presenting mine. Obviously we haven't seen the movie yet.. but we just thought that Mike Myers was mocking all the 'Gurus' who claim to know everything without any religious background ... it's not mocking any religious figure that they hold dear to their religion .. like a pandit or Krishan Ji
  10. I don't see how Mike Myers is offending Hindus or anyone else except for 'Fake Gurus' that people believe in to solve their household problem (in this case... the LEAFS'S reason for not winning the Stanley Cup  )
  11. If you don't know how to read, then I guess you'll miss out on the message unless you learn the story a different through a different method. Then after you've learnt the lesson of the story you can strive to learn how to read to deeper your understanding ... So yeh ... what you said makes sense
