  1. UPDATE - Parchariks - Bhai Jasbir Singh Darbar Sahib wale - Kirtan Bhai Kamalpreet Singh Peterbourgh wale - Kirtan Bhai Jaswant Singh Markunde - Katha Bhai Dalvir Singh Kavishri Jatha - Kavishri
  2. Jathedar Sant Baba Baljit Singh Ji Khalsa Dadu Sahib Wale have been doing great parchar and practical seva for the Sikh nation rather than just sit on stages and and offer fruitless suggestion of how to deal with Fake Guru's in Punjab as must "Sant/Baba's" do. Jathedar Sahib has nothing to prove to anyone, especially if those that have been mentioned in the thread are being used as "yardsticks" for Credibility. <Mod cut> Who else has been to jail or had more cases registered against them for speaking out against the support the state is providing to these Fake Guru's? Why is Khalistan a tabooed issue for must Sant's but for Jathedar Sahib it is a standard issue and nothing special. <Mod cut>
  3. If you would like to address the sangat or contribute in any other way please contact us via the email or phone numbers provided on the poster. Quick comment on the poster, which is being designed by a 15 year old Singh from the Midlands and not a paid professional, we have elders who can do a "better job" but this Singh has shown consistent dedication in any seva he is given and therefore it would be unfair to stop using the work of someone who maybe less able but committed over a bigot.
  4. To: British Government 26 Years on, when over 20,000 Sikhs were massacred on the street of India's national Capital, New Delhi. We as citizens of United Kingdom stand hurt and dismayed at how the English and Scottish teams can be allowed to participate in the Commonwealth games in a city where thousands of innocent people were killed and those responsible have still not been brought to Justice. Furthermore, the last time the Asian games where held in India in 1982, Sikhs were categorically banned from entering the city of New Delhi, simply to stop Sikhs from democratically voicing their concerns to the world about how they are being mistreated in India and to stop the world from knowing about the Human rights abuses being carried out by the Indian Establishment. We call on the British Government to official withdraw all National teams from the Commonwealth games and refuse to support any such International event from being awarded to India until it changes its attitude in Human Rights and protects the minority communities within India. Sincerely, Link - http://www.petitiono...i/petition.html

  7. Sikhs,Kashmiris and Nagas re-affirm Freedom Struggles India's 63rd Independence Day: Joint Statementby leading Diaspora Groups Representing a commonfront against Indian imperialism we join hands, on this 63rdanniversary of Indian independence, to re-affirm our unshakeable commitment tosecure freedom for our respective nations and to call on the internationalcommunity to dismantle the illegal occupation of our homelands by a terroriststate. Its militaristic modus operandi has now also become a danger to wider regionalpeace and security; the world community must counter the growing threat itposes and bring justice to tens of millions of oppressed people in the mostdangerous part of the world. Since 1947 India hasforcibly denied our sovereign rights under international law; the rights todetermine our own political status, to control our natural resources and toprotect our populations and territories from human rights abuses amounting togenocide. It has blatantly told the United Nations that it does not even recognisethe right of self-determination for those nations under its occupation, despitethe clear provisions of international law and state practice - which haveoverseen the independence of many nations in recent years. It has brazenly ignoredthe UN Security Council's own express resolution requiring a plebiscite in thedisputed territory of Jammu & Kashmir. None of the catastrophic conflicts inKashmir, Khalistan, Nagalim, Assam, Manipur and Bodoland are anywhere nearresolution; responsible world opinion must ask why so many near-identical andintractable conflicts have arisen from a common source and how to now peaceablyresolve them. In its efforts tofrustrate our national rights India has deployed the full might of its armed forcesagainst civilian populations, casually killing hundreds of thousands in theprocess. The world's pre-eminent human rights organisations have documented thesystematic abuses in which pogroms, extra-judicial killings, disappearances, rape, torture, illegal detention and extortion have become routine, allsupported by a clear policy of immunity for the perpetrators and 'emergencylaws' which breach basic international humanitarian standards. Again, those whopropagate the rule of law must ask why such massive state terror has been allowedto go unpunished for so long and how best to now hold those responsible toaccount. In August 2009, theUnited States Commission for International Religious Freedoms put India on its'watchlist' of states that fail to protect minority religious groups. Recentyears have seen mass violence directed towards Christians, Muslims and Sikhs andtheir places of worship, with the connivance of security forces, disinterest ofthe courts and blatant instigation from Indian politicians who continue to holdhigh office. It is both appropriateand necessary at this time to bring India in to line with international law andstandards. Only the break up of this monolithic state, which has never servedthe interests of the peoples under its control, will offer the region genuinefreedom, real security and equitable economic progress. The peaceful exerciseof self-determination by our nations in our homelands should be overseen by theUnited Nations, which will need to promote that outcome by imposing stringentsanctions on an intransigent and increasingly menacing power. The establishment of aspecial international criminal court to punish Indian genocide perpetrators andthe ejection of India from the UN's human rights bodies are urgently necessarymeasures if justice is to be delivered to the millions who have suffered thehuman misery of these completely avoidable conflicts. Pending India'scompliance with fundamental norms of civilised behaviour we urge theinternational community to reject out of hand any notion of agreeing to India'sdemand for a permanent seat at the UN Security Council. It would surely beperverse to reward an aggressor and a serial violator of international law witha veto power that it would use to frustrate the one institution that can andshould hold it to account. India's refusal to sign the NuclearNon-proliferation Treaty, together with its massive spend on nuclear armamentswhilst millions of its citizens live in poverty, demonstrates its belligerencewhich in itself should rule it out of contention for a permanent seat. Unless India immediatelystops its ongoing brutalities and agrees to international intervention topunish those guilty of rights abuses, we would urge Governments, athletes andspectators alike to boycott the 2010 Commonwealth Games scheduled to take placein October in the Indian capital. India needs to be shamed not feted in thelight of the atrocities it continues to commit on a daily basis. At a time when SouthAsia is the likely flashpoint of any future major war, it behoves policy makersto remedy the errors of British de-colonisation in 1947 which are directly contributingto the current instability. India is not and has never been a nation; as anartificial construct it has simply become a failed state which merits no'independence' celebrations. Britain has a special responsibility forcorrecting those historic mistakes and, as our members protest at theinjustices of the last 63 years in London today, we call on our friends inBritain to take a lead in that process. 9. The first ever National Sikh Youth Football Tournament organised by the British Sikh Student Federation was a great success as over 50 five-a-side teams came to participate from across the country. The tournament went on for a full five hours and attendees said that they would love to attend future such events. A number of speeches were given and stalls were present with free literature about why the tournament was being held and other memorabilia as well as Guru Ka Langar. (Free food) Medals and trophies were given to the runners up and winning teams. We would also like to give a special thanks to the General Manager of Goals (Hayes) who worked tirelessly with volunteers of the Federation, especially the Southall and Slough Units of the British Sikh Student Federation who took on the brunt of the work in terms of organising the teams and facilities. We hope to make this event a regular feature on the annual British Sikh events Calendar and to further improve the event were felt necessary. 15. Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann Dal) Where have they gone missing? What are they doing? Why did Mann Sahib kick out his own personality who could attract the Sikh Youth? If Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu is a bad person, why was he brought into the Party in the first place? Why did the majority of SADA (Mann) quick and join Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu? "buying them cars and a few positions...." - How was Mann Dal any different? (If this was true!) Note: - We are not anti - Mann Dal yet we will only work with those Organisations who are actually doing something pro-actively for the Sikh Nation.
  16. "The Shiromoni Akali Dal Panch Pardhani (Daljit Singh Bittu's Party) had recently declared that they would organise a Holocaust Memorial March from Chappar Chirri in Mohali (Chandigarh) to Sri Akal Takhat Sahib from which was scheduled to take place from the 1st June-6th June 2010 stopping at different Gurdwara's acrsos Punjab and holding Smagams and Diwans every night. Many Panthic organisations and jathebandiya aswell Sant Mahapurkhs had declared their support for the March." What's cheap about that? So what are your people doing in remembrance of June 1984?
  17. The below link will be discussed on the 20th June Samagam - What can we do? http://www.sikhsanga...r-another-1984/
