  1. This is an absolutely shocking video of a 23 year old Californian American Singh who chatted online to a 12 year old girl in a sexually suggestive manner and then met her the NEXT DAY. What he didn't know was that this was a sting operation by NBC Dateline! This guy has done the ultimate behzti to himself and his family. Unbelievable! Nod Note: Jio although you are not in violation of any rules, we do agree that for the youngsters that are using this forum, this does not highlight the positive aspects of sikhi, therefore the YouTube link has been removed. Waheguru Admin/Moderators - Please forgive me if this video breaks any forum rules, I'm not 100% sure if it does.
  2. On the Nihal's morning discussion show (on the BBC Asian Network) they were discussing (after 10am) for an hour about religious tensions amongst the south Asian communities. A Muslim woman on the show stated that she had made a documentary on forced marriages were Sikhs were forced into marrying their own cousins. I was really shocked by this. Is this true? Does this really happen? How can such a marriage occur in a Gurdwara were a Sikh couple are each others cousins? http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/asiannetwor.../asiannihal_tue Listen about 1:45 minutes into show.
  3. Satnam Sri WaheGuru, Dhan Dhan Guru Hargobind Sahib, Satnam, Satnam, Satnam...
  4. err...right..coming back to the topic, can you let me know more about the book. For example is it a book that only has stories of the guru's lives, and of other sikhs? or is it just an essay? Is is structured well? written well? i.e. good use of english? From what people have said on this forum and other places, I can assume the book is a quality book in terms of construction and materials used, plus the imagery used is second to none. But I'd like to know some critical feedback on the contents of the book from people who have read it. Just so I get a balanced view before I invest my £30. I have to say at this point I'm very much leaning on buying the book. One last point, how long does it take to deliver when buying from the publishers?
  5. True ! Bhul Chuk Maaf, WJKK WJKf I apologize if anyone took offense with me using the word fairytale, but I so honestly do not believe in that story. I'm sure Nihang Sant Soorma Sahid Avatar Singh did not believe in that story and he certainly did not believe in a Sakhi written by the enimes of the Guru's. Many a times have bullets hit men and found that none have pierced. Now if the story about Sahid Avatar Singh came from a 'sakhi' from the RSS, I would have doubts to believe it too. Bhul Chuk Maaf, WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa, WaheGuru Ji Ke Fateh!
  6. Is this the same Baba Maan Singn that is embroiled in rape allegations? Where there is a photo of him and his female 'companions'? The same Baba where the Australian sangat is protesting against? The goats didn't offer their heads, they were taken.
  7. And this is based on what? (I thought God was the only Brahmgyaani? :gg: ) The path of truth does not rely on blind faith.
  8. In regards to the Meharban Janamsakhi, Meharban was the grandson of the 4th Guru. Points to note are: 1) Meharban led the Minas Cult which corrupted Sikh teaching. 2) Guru Arjan condemned the Minas and basic historical contents of the Janamsakhi ...........Sikhs didn't touch it for centuries until Dr Kirpal Singh resureccted it. 3) Meharban introduces the theory that Guru Nanak was an Avtar of King Janak, father in-law of Rama and father of Sita. 4) The Minas wanted the Sikhs to have a Hindu Pantheon. 5) They changed Guru Nanak's place and date of birth 6) Along with the Hindali's they placed Kabir above Guru Nanak. (the Hindali's wrote the Bhai Bala Janamsakhi, another fictious work) 7) Bhai Gurdas condemns and criticises Meharban. Read // 36-1 to 36 - 11 where the Minas are condemned and described as "hypocritical" and "spiritless evil persons" 8) Meharban and Prithi Mal insulted the Guru's face to face. 9) Bhai Buddha and Bhai Gurdas ousted the Meharban and the Minas from Amritsar 10) Meharban started calling himself the seventh Guru.....while his son Harji the 8th. 11) Meharban tried to corrupt Mulmantaar Many historians (Hazari Prased Trivedi, Charlotte Vaudenville), have established Bhagat Kabir Ji's life span from 1398-1448 Guru Nanak never met Bhagat Kabir, as Kabir Ji was dead by the time Guru Nanak was born. Guru Nanak never recorded this meeting with Kabir Ji in his hymns, (like he did for other events, for example Nanau Chand at Kurukshetra SGGS 1289-1290, etc, etc). Neither did Shaheedi Bhai Mani Singh, the scribe of the Guru Granth Sahib, mention this monumentous encounter in his works, Gyan Ratnawali, or list Kabir Ji as a friend or companion in Guru Nanaks life. Neither did Bhai Gurdas mention this so-called meeting. And neither do the Kabir-panthis, (the followers of Bhagat Kabir) believe in this story. I sinerely believe this so-called story of Guru Nanak meeting Kabir Ji is just another fairytale. Bhul Chuk Maaf, WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa, WaheGuru Ji Ke Fateh!
  9. It's £45 on Amazon, is it worth buying. Anyone got the book? What did you think of it?
  10. I don't believe that they met. Sant Baba Gurdas Singh Kotikera vala told me it is not true at all. Someone do the math.
