  1. "giani's gone bad" this is the kind of problem we have. so many people show pride in being "sikh" when they dont actually follow anything a sikh should do. I don't understand how they can call themselves that it's like calling urself a doctor when u havnt learned the things a doctor should know. the word of sikhi needs to be explained better to all these people because if they don't have interest the next genartion will become worse and worse.
  2. Yea that girl was the stupid one not the muslim
  3. Yea she made some major mistakes here for getting caught up in the boyfriend business and for doing drugs so I think that was stupid of her but the muslims also seem quite evil in this story. If they don't respect other religions and think theirs is the only way it's hard to respect them for being so close-minded. One thing that really stands out is where it says "the task is getting easier by the day as the sikh and hindu girls are not taught mucli in their religion at all" They still treat women unequally like they're objects that have to follow whatever they say and wear veils. I know all muslims arent like that but the extremists need to be taught a lesson because their thoughts are still undeveloped like they are stuck in the past. Fortunatly this war that recently started is helping to teach them their lesson
  4. do u wear one or not? if u do say some benefits u have found or other experiences from having a turban
  5. Technically and scientifically a turban serves to protect our hair and scalp from the elements, and by keeping the crown covered, we automatically enhance our internal thermal controls, so that we remain cooler in the heat of the sun and warmer in colder temperatures. A turban also a puts a pressure on the frontal lobes and helps maintain stability on the crainial plates - and this serves to enhance our mental focuss and the clarity of our thought projections
  6. the experience of thinking that a new situation had occurred before. maybe a similar situation did happen before and the brain brings it up again.
  7. George Carlin's "Paradox of Our Time" The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but shorter viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more but enjoy less. We have bigger houses but smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, yet more problems; more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values; we talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often; we've learned how to make a living, but not a life; we've added years to life but not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor; we conquered outer space but not inner space; we've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've conquered the atom, but not prejudice; we write more but learn less; we plan more but accomplish less; we've learned to rush but not to wait. We've built more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast food and slow digestion; big men and small character; steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw-away morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer to quiet to kill. It is a time where there is much in the show window and nothing in the stock room. A time where technology can bring this note to you, and a time where you can choose to share this insight, or just hit delete. Remember, spend more time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because soon that little person will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart that doesn't cost a cent. Remember, to say "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all...mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment, for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak, give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind. To all my friends in my life...thanks for being there

Yea his look has always been a joke but it's ok, a lot of artists have strange personal lives but it's the music that matters
  11. One of the main reasons BC gets a bad reputation about sikhs is because of the way the media shows them. People have to stop believing everything the media says and blindly judging

  14. "As for the Golden Temple, women are NOT allowed to sing kirtan OR to sit with the ragis at Darbar Sahib or to assist in washing the Temple floors." Why is that?
  15. Yea I have noticed that it's not hard to equally respect someone of any religion as long as they follow it and do not commit sinful deeds
  16. yea depends on how rude and if it's offensive
  17. here's another interesting quote: people say "i want peace". if you remove "I" (ego) and "want" (desire), you are left with peace.
