It would be great if I had an example of a sikh working up on a building rooftop who was allowed to wear a turban. Surely, this can't be the first time that this has happened? wjkk wjkf

wjkk wjkf, I was wondering if someone could help me. I wear a turban, but need to work at the top of a building from work. This is 13/14 storey's high. We are currently doing a risk assessment at work. We have been on the 'training at heights course' etc and have all the PPE. The current legislation says that 'turban wearing sikhs are exempt from wearing a helmet on construction sites'. Any other place of work they may be breaching the law. Could someone give me details if they know of any cases where turban wearing sikhs are exempt from wearing a helmet on top of the building. Or can someone give me contact details for the sikh council / sikh federation uk. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance wjkk wjkf

wjkk wjkf, i have just seen the class listings for shastar vidiya, gurdwara's in leeds, khalsa jatha in london and leicester are still allowing these people to teach!! i thought leicester gurdwara told nang and his boys to go! i really can't believe these commitee's of these gurdwaras. wjkk wjkf

wjkk wjkf, happy new year to all! Regatrding theis issue, I think that Nidar and his crew our out of Wolverhampton, Leicester and Birmingham Gurdwara's (Somerset Rd). I think they still teach at namdahari akhara in Birmingham. I think they are teaching at Khalsa Jatha Gurdwara in London?? I think that their tactis have changed i.e. not having Nidar teaching, as far as I know it is his chela Teja Singh teaching at Khalsa jatha gurdwara in London. Also they have opened a class in Smethwick again I do not think that Nidar is teraching but one of his chele. I am not sure about sheperds bush gurdwara? It shouldn't really matter, they will still preach the same twisted sanatan hindu sikh philosophy - as all branches come from the same source! The commitees at these gurdwara's need to be informed of their twisted ideology, which they push onto young impressionable minds. wjkk wjkf

I have seen nangs students throw a punch at him and leave their arms fully extended out??? for him to do some deadly techniques, who the hell leaves their hand extended out in a real fight??? I was told to remove my kara by nang, 'we dont believe these should be on all the time' were his exact words 2. He took me to one side, 'did you think i was a sikh?',.yes i said, 'im hindu-sikh, im sanatan' said nang 3.'you have to eat meat and drink alcohol', otherwise you cant fight was point 3 4. He swore at two midlands based gatka ustads, calling them the 'punjabi' word for womens private parts. All this was in the space of 2 hours....i left....never ever returned...never will.... I truely feel sorry for the innocent individuals caught up in this cult.... This was at the namdari akhara.. If you want taran paji, i am willing ti sign and date a typed copy of this letter... wjkk wjkf, The shastar vidiya taught is done in an compliant manner, so when it really kicks off it will not be there for you. Didn't one of Niddars students get battered recdently? (they tried to kick him out the akhara) because he proved that it don't work, i am pretty sure i read that he said in his own words 'i couldnt remember the techniques taught'. In a real situation you will get a log jam because of adrenaline, only the big simple techniques will work. There will never be a hadh thor challenge, simply because niddar will not accept it, also if he gets beaten - what face will he show his cheley????
