He has spread too much of his venom....he has done alot of damage.....to young impressionable sikhs. Veerji could we not compile a letter and post to the instructors that he has held seminars with i.e. pat omalley, maul mornie Exposing him for the fraud he is... I cant take the fact that he has in the eyes of the media made himself the ' last sikh warrior' The media then give him a platfirm to preach his twisted views, then people think that this is what sikhi is about. Wjkk wjkf, Fantastic post, i fully agree Niddar has learnt some of the art, he then mixed up the aspects that were missing from various arts and gave them fancy names to sound ancient and authentic. Another point is if this art is what he says, then it cant be effective since india was getting plundered and smashed by mughals until sri guru hargobind ji's time. The next thing is to get him banned from leicester and wolverhampton gurdwara's. I dont have a problem with him or any one who wants to learn from him, but his parchar is totally WRONG! I think more exposure can be gained by having a facebook page? i have heard that jathedar of budha dal is in the uk, if he could come on one of the sikh channels and clarify what we already know, would be the final nail in the coffin. Wjkk wjkf, i did see some gatka ustads demonstrating sonchi, it seemed very haphazard as they were trying block and defend punches. It did not seem a complete empty hands system. I do feel that my quest to find a gatka ustad who knows the empty, weapons, battlefield and how they are entwined in bani is going to be fruitless. I think most gatka ustads do mix western styles of martial arts to form a complete system. We probably have lost the puratan way of Khalsa yudh. Is there an audio katha of jathedar baba nihal singh ji, in which they mention jaap sahib and shastar vidiya? Does anyone have that? Wjkk wjkf

wjkk wjkf, thanks for all your replies, does anyone know of the pentras used in gatka, I have only heard of mool pentra and once heard of sher pentra (although it was never demonstrated!). I have also heard of un armed martial exercises called 'sonchi, does anyone know of these? there must be someone in the UK, who knows this? wjkk wjkf

Wjkk wjkf, i am looking to learn gatka, i have a couple of questions, 1. How many different pentras are there in gatka, could someone list them for me? 2. I have heard of a ustad based in coventry who teaches, empty hands in gatka, does anyone know who they are? 3. Does any ustadknow the relationship with chaands in jaap sahib and pentras? Please dont start this into a gatka/shastar vidiya debate.

wjkk wjkf, veerji I am not here to knock any style or any person. I am just letting you know of the benefits of training in the system that I train in. This can be used to supplement whatever style that you are training in at the moment.We use techniques that have been proven in adrenalised/pressure situations, simple techniques such as palm strikes, hammer fists etc Techniques that can be retained under pressure - this is the arena we train in, as this is the area of non-compliance and you get to test and experience what works under duress. wjkk wjkf, veerji i have not studied gatka so am unfamiliar with a 6 step pentra, sorry. All i know is that Baba Nihal Singh Ji Jathedar of Taruna Dal has mentioned the different pentras that are done whilst reciting jaap sahib, i can't find this audio. There must be a gatka ustaad who knows this.....alternatively does anyone have contact details (email) of Bhai Sukha Singh (he does excellent vichar of Dasam Granth Sahib), I think he may know this. Hi, i wanted to ask anyone who has brought the ' golden temple reflections of the past' book, what You thought of the book, were there any mis leading quotes or misrepresentations presented about the sikh faith, i know there was some controversy with the 'in the masters presence book'. I am currently looking for instructors in around the UK who would be willing to do some seva by hosting seminars based on their style of martial arts, all funds raised will go to Khalsa aid and SOPW. WJKK WJKF, Dear all, I will be travelling to India this year and was hoping to go to Hazoor sahib. Does anyone know if there are any direct flights from Amritsar / Chandigarh to Hazoor Sahib? I know you can go there by train, but this is about a 36 hour journey.
